Gorgeous setting, comfortable rooms, AMAZING breakfast! all home-made, highest quality ingredients. Hospitable, homey, like staying with friends or family who know how to put together a great breakfast spread. also, super-close to everything you will want to do in Cooperstown, and close to the lake swimming area.

This was our first time in Cooperstown, and Penny from Nelson Avenue Pines made sure that it was a great trip! The house is extremely comfortable and the proprietors are the perfect amount of friendly and thoughtful. Location is perfect walking distance to all of the local attractions. The food is so good and we couldn’t believe how many options there were! We stayed for a total of three breakfasts, and each day there was at least two or three options of savory and sweet breakfasts, in addition to fruit, oatmeal, yogurt and pastries. The owners also have a dog that they keep in their section of the house, but were nice enough to let us play with her when they found out we are dog people. Dakota was the icing on the cake to an already great stay.

Don’t go with extraordinarily high expectations — it’s not luxurious or fancy — more like staying with friends or at grandma’s house. But it’s quaint without being manufactured, the proprietors are friendly and thoughtful, and the accommodations are generous. It’s a pleasant walk down tree-lined streets to the Hall of Fame and the lake, and parking is free. We talked with folks staying at another local B&B that was much«fancier» and they had cold cereal and yogurt for breakfast, while we had fresh blueberry pancakes and French baked eggs. .. we were perfectly happy with our choice of where to stay in Cooperstown!
