Mayme’s Cafe & Catering

Great spot for lunch. My family and I were driving through the area while traveling and were very pleased to find this place. Great food, friendly people, and something for everyone on the menu. A wonderful change from the usual travel food.

We stopped here recently while driving 81S. It’s located in a small strip mall, so it was a little tricky to find, but well worth the stop! We had burgers and sandwiches and all were delicious! The staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean. I have bookmarked this place and we will definitely stop again the next time we are up that way.

We stopped at Mayme’s because the reviews were so resoundingly good, and they were right. The food was prepared with care and very delicious. The owners and staff were friendly and interested in us; they clearly cared whether we had a good experience and made an effort to ensure we did. It’s an honest-​to-​God mom and pop shop with really high quality cooking, a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere and unbeatable prices.
We ordered an excellent, deep dish Italian frittata, a genuinely flavorful eggplant Florentine sandwich and a side of breaded eggplant. All were better than just right. We both enjoyed coffee with free refills. They had run out of the love cake, but the cappuccino cheesecake was very tempting. On Sundays, they have a dessert special, which we passed up only because we were so full.
If we are ever on this stretch of I-​80 again, we will be back.

When driving through on I80, we stopped for a late lunch, and I am so glad we did. The ambiance of the café was very nice, the owner was incredibly nice, and the food was wonderful! My husband and I both had a grilled chicken Caesar salad. The dressing was homemade and delicious, and also egg free, which was great since I’m pregnant. The salads came with rolls, and my husband got a cookie, which he really enjoyed. We don’t frequent this part of the state much, but on our next trip we will make sure to add Mayme’s café to our agenda!

Great deli/​café. Super friendly, awesome soup and sandwich. You can tell these folks care about what they are doing. Earned the 5 stars by other reviewers.

Great restaurant. The staff is wonderful and the owners (a husband and wife couple) are the most courteous of people. Best place to eat. Can’t wait to come back!

Stopping through after a tournament m, right off 81. Great location. Burgers were fantastic according to the hubby and boys. I had a nice fresh salad. Well priced, clean, nice service. Would stop again. Recommend the peanut butter pie.

Really excellent sandwiches and soups. Great desserts too. You really can’t go wrong with any of their sandwiches. They have no problem making changes to their menu items (different cheese, etc.) and always get your order right. Very friendly service. I loved the turkey corn chowder. My only complaint is that I wish they had a webpage with their menu and daily specials, not just the Facebook page.

Stopped by with me son recently. We had the meatball & scamutz sandwiches with fries. Great sandwich and huge order of fries. Restaurant is clean and in a good location.

The décor is warm & inviting. The food & service were better. The food was delicious, and plentiful. And even better, the prices were very reasonable. Also, easy to get on & off I-​80.

Everything is fresh and good and made on the spot. This was a great find. I had a cod poboy and was light, flaky and delicious. My wife had a seafood salad that had very fresh seafood. The cucumber dressing went very well with it. Our daughter had a grilled cheese sandwich and she is eating the heck out of it. We also had a three cheese Florentine sandwich and it was very good, too.
