We enjoyed our meals at Perkins. I like the fact that everyone is so friendly. The food is delicious, but I only wish they would place turkey burgers, veggie burgers and selzter water on the menu.

Disappointing, I guess, is the best way to describe our meal here today… We had stopped in for a specific favorite, only to discover that the menu has been«updated». Gone is the glazed salmon, to be replaced by your choice of «lemon-pepper» or Cajun seasonings. My wife ordered the Cajun style, and dicovered that although it looks«blackened»(a popular choice for fish), it really had no seasoning at all, and was painfully bland. Also gone from the menu is the popular side of baby carrots. Just gone, no longer available, sorry. And, in a humorous aside, also gone is dinner rolls. Yep, a «bakery» that has no rolls. They’d be glad to grill you a slice of bread though!!! The chicken noodle soup(which was in a square dish) was nicely thick in the broth, and was very good. Chicken pot pie was flavorful, although the chicken itself was a bit dry(how do you do that when it’s in a broth?). Grilled cheese and bacon(no swiss, please) and fries were good, if nothing really outstanding. We bought some of their«famous» muffins to go, and we hope that those will be up to the old standards… As a side note, I was happy to discover, that unlike most restaurant restrooms, they actually had hot water when washing your hands! Kudos and thank you. Overall, not a bad experience, but not what we had expected going in…

So I could talk about how the soup was lukewarm Campbell’s tomato soup or how there was a thin layer of oil under my chicken pot pie or that I watched the server say sorry 7 times. But the one thing that happened that really stuck out was… It took us 10 minutes to get water…

Average diner/chain restaurant food. My recommendation would be to order something simple… Something that can’t be messed up to bad LOL

This place is terrible! went with a group of co-workers a few of us not happy with our food .I ordered the Ribeye steak dinner the portion was small and all i received with it was a cold potato, there wasn’t even any garnish on the plate to make it look presentable, it was just a little steak and a little cold potato, so I asked the waitress if they can heat my potato as she gave me a look like I was bothering her… I waited about ten minutes then I finally reminded her about my plate when I got my plate back it was even colder it must of been sitting in the microwave… I would not return again

Poor service, poor food. No one at my party enjoyed their breakfasts, and it’s not cheap, either. There are so many great local places for brunch in NEPA; skip this chain and save yourself the trouble.

Always enjoyed their breakfast but lunch and dinner always left alot to be desired. About 6 – 8 months ago we stopped by for lunch and had their fried Shrimp platter. Very good, came with a salad served on a ice cold plate and warm rolls. What more can you ask for. Been there a few times since and have no complaints.

Generally have a good dining experience here. Sometimes there are issues, just like any other place. If you go here, ask for Sandy to be your server. She does a great job. The evening manager is also very good. We see him on many occasions assisting and helping his staff when busy, including serving and busing tables. He does not just stand around an visit tables and stay behind the register.

I enjoy going to Perkins for a Saturday or Sunday brunch. They do breakfast very well at Perkins, as a matter of fact I find their buttermilk pancakes to be the tastiest around. Based on my experience they have a better breakfast menu then lunch/dinner, and for that reason it is a good thing they serve breakfast items all day. The dining experience at a Perkins always seems to be fairly pleasant. Perkins in Hazleton is worth a shot if you have never had the pleasure of grabbing a bite to eat at this establishment. P. S.: They also have a fair selection of baked good, far more limited than bakeries in town, but respectable nonetheless for a restaurant.

Came through while traveling. Decent meals, and friendly service that fell apart while we were waiting for the check. Nice dessert. Clean and pleasant inside. Nicer than Denny’s.
