We are out of town visiting family for the holidays and decided to stay a night at the Holiday Inn Express in Conroe, Texas. My son who is one and a half years old wakes up 4am this morning. After an hour of trying to console him in the room I need a new strategy. Now it’s 5 am. We go to their«breakfast area» to relax, calm him, and let Ashley sleep. There is nobody in this area. Crystal, the front desk person comes in, tells us to leave because I’m making the lady setting up breakfast«uncomfortable.» After I ask her to let us stay she starts arguing with me and tells us that she will call the police on us if we don’t leave! The«area» opens at 6 am. #Nightmareinn

Very disappointed. The room had an odd smell and the shower had mold growing in the corners. We were only there for one night so I did not throw a fit. When checking in, the staff was very nice, so no complaints there. If the place had been cleaner, it would have been a nice stay.

Holiday Inn Express in Conroe sits right off I-45 and Hwy 336 in a central location that is conveniently accessible to all areas of Conroe. With restaurants, grocery stores, shopping and entertainment venues all within a couple of blocks, the Holiday Inn Express provides everything you might need at your fingertips. The Holiday Inn Express in Conroe is a very quiet hotel with all the amenities. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. We had the full set-up, with a desk, flat-screen, microwave and mini-fridge. The mini-fridge came in handy as there is a Signature Kroger supermarket within easy walking distance. The hotel is just down the road from the Woodlands and nearby malls include the Portofina Shopping Center and the Conroe Outlet Center. In the morning, they offer a wonderful breakfast with everything you could want: sausage, eggs, cinnamon rolls, bacon cereal… you get the point, ha! They even have a pancake machine! And, of course, a variety of fruit juices and piping hot coffee, freshly brewed. And all of it absolutely free! The Holiday Inn Express is the perfect place to relax during your visit to Conroe. Each day, I would spend the afternoon taking advantage of the large swimming pool. As you can see in the photography, the pool has a beautiful back drop of forest and even a waterfall! If your vacation plans include taking in some of the many activities available at nearby Lake Conroe, then the Holiday Inn Express is a good choice because it is just a few minutes away from the action. And, if you need to take care of business during your stay, the hotel provides free high-speed, wired and WIFI Internet, a meeting room and a 24-hour Business Center which provides copy and print services. The staff was friendly, inviting and helpful. I was always greeted with a smile and a cheerful hello — just as you would expect here in the Lone Star State. Plus, you get that consistent Holiday Inn comfort found across the country. It’s a a great place to bring the family as it offers all the amenities of a resort without breaking the bank. Whether it be for business or pleasure, the Holiday Inn Express in Conroe is definitely a great choice.

Great place to stay and they offer government rates and discounts. The pool is on the inside so if others are there it’s very noisy and the chlorine will burn your eyes. The rooms are always clean and everything is new and modern.

Generally a nice experience since like most Holiday Inn Express the place is new. The bed was really comfy. Unfortunately, the guy at the desk forgot to give me the wireless code at check-in(and I didn’t catch it). The value for money was just fair.

We stayed here for a wedding. The room was clean, blah blah blah, service was excellent. It was a nice hotel at a good hotel rate. Next door to Kroger. 2 words: pancake dispenser.

Hands down the best bed I’ve had in a motel, hotel or B&B under $ 200 a night, ever. Heavenly soft to a point and then firm enough to feel good to my back. The desk staff were very pleasant and the breakfast was decent. On the downside, you could hear almost everything in the hall(or maybe we just had loud neighbors?) — but noise between floors was non-existant, so I’d still rate it as pretty quiet. Lastly, paying over $ 100 a night for this motel wasn’t that great, but, frankly, I’d probably book a room here again if I ever went back to Conroe, TX(God willing, I won’t, but it ain’t because of this hotel.)
