Mmm… mmm…toasty? Pretty much. I was in Cambridge City photographing a basketball tournament and stopped at the closed-for-a-wedding Hilltop Drive-In. Seeing all the choices in Cambridge City, I went to Connersville. I haven’t been to a Quiznos since they closed the store in Richmond. Unlike Florida, there aren’t many in Indiana or Ohio. This one was in a Shell station and convenience store where a Noble Roman’s used to be, not unlike the Quiznos in Richmond. The staff were friendly and helpful, and wanted to do the best. They even asked multiple times if the food was good. I had a Classic Italian on Rosemary bread. I don’t usually try different breads since I’m not in love with bread already. I’m sure it would be good for someone else but it brought back a memory of some rosemary-infused potato chips combination. I also got a small bowl(the small is more than a few spoonfuls but not much) of the broccoli cheese soup, which is good. I’ve had several recent experiences with Subway and I still find the meats and cheeses at Quiznos to be better but Subway has closed the gap quite a lot. The overall experience was so much better, even in a convenience store atmosphere. Tables could use more attention but there were several available and that’s a plus.
