Nye’s Marina Service

Great service. Friendly staff. My husband purchased our boat there many years ago so we’ve been doing business there for a long time. Boat started stahling so we took it into them for service, they worked on it and it ran great all summer and was a relatively cheap fix. We were very happy. Drove by yesterday and saw all of the boats they have stored in the blue plastic. Ours is one of those sitting there while we anxiously await spring! We highly recommend Nyes Marina!!!

Have stored my boat here for the past several years even though the price goes up every year. Most years without issue.
They made my wife mad several years ago so she won’t go inside ever. Seems the old woman/​owner said we how’d to wait for the salesman to come back from lunch to talk to him about buying a boat. Waited an hour for what turned out to be the grandson and who could answer only a few questions. When I realized I knew more about the boat than he did I asked for a price. He said he had to go ask the grandmother (the original woman we spoke to) for a price. Why did the old women make us wait when she controlled the selling price anyway. Wasted two hours of my life and no boat!
This year I called to get my boat out of storage. Picked it up this morning and was met with a $ 216 bill for a new battery and cables. Not as much as a phone call for approval. I do not appreciate repairs being made to any of my vehicles without authorization. Would have done it if they asked but the boat was running and starting just fine when I took it in. For that reason I question if the repair was even necessary to begin with. She said they noted it on my work order last fall that the work needed done but still after 7 months still no phone call. The said it was muskrat or beaver damage from chewing through th battery cables. I doubt it but it is possible.
Resolution: paid the bill and explained that one phone call could have save $ 500 in revenue annually from me. She said «we have over 200 boats we store, so we are pretty busy.» To which I said then I guess 199 is you limit. I’ll grant you the extra time in th future, cause I won’t be bac! Not the amount of the bill, it is just bad business to assume it is ok for you to work on MY boat without MY permission!
I do not recommend this place!
