one of the worst starbucks. They don’t even understand«Americano on the rock». instead they put hot americano in the cup. they told me rudely that I should say ice americano. such unprofessional way of treating customer. in the end, they still don’t know the definition of «on the rock».

This one is really pretty close to where I used to live. One day when i was there I met the manager Megan the district manager and the regional manager that was really pretty cool. This all happened in one day.

The service was okay, they weren’t rude or anything but when I asked for a cherry blossom frapp they said they didn’t know how to make it. If you have something up on the board then you should probably know how to make it, right? So when I got my cherry blossom frapp it was more like a chilled strawberry milk. If you’re working at Starbucks and don’t know how to make a frapp then you probably shouldn’t be working there.

Unfortunately this place has gone downhill. After they moved KC to another store the new manager isn’t doing a great job at managing. Besides her rudeness & no customer service skills, the store is messy, bathroom is no longer clean and it’s no longer an enjoyable place to get our coffee. There’s only a few baristas we go in for now. I would suggest going to another location.

The cashier was rude and curt. There was still a customer in front of her and she motioned her head towards me saying, what’s your order hon”? It’s my first time at this place and it’s kinda confusing where to get your order. There was the pastry display and the cashier in the middle and you get your drinks at the small counter towards the end. I’m not coming back unless I have to. The staff needs more customer service training and a better lay out of the store.

I have three Starbucks options within walking distance of my home.(I like to take a tea or coffee break midway through my morning walk.) The Clayton Road Starbucks ranks lowest. The drinks and food are pretty much the same no matter which Starbucks I go to. But I have a couple of complaints with the Clayton Road Starbucks. First the layout is odd and there is limited seating. But of more concern is the MESS. No attempt to wipe down the tables, clean the floor, etc. My last visit … and it may be my last visit … the place was a mess.

This Starbucks always makes our drinks right but for some reason the older lady behind the counter that calls everyone«Hun» has a serious attitude problem with customers and fellow employees. Went in this morning and she was so short and rude to her fellow coworker it was ridiculous. Hopefully management can give her an attitude adjustment.

Ever since they’ve switched management from KC, whenever I come in, the baristas look moody, and the bathroom is always a wreck. I’ve noticed that Brandon & Jenn are the only ones who seem to be on the ball. I’ve been a regular here for years and I’m saddened by how downhill it’s gone.

Not a good location for few different reasons. I came there to study and needed to sit near an outlet, not uncommon for college students. I found there was only a couple tables with an outlet near it. OK fine. I got a table, all good. Parking isn’t so great. Narrow parking lot and in and out traffic is a pain. I know that’s not the fault of the coffee shop though. Now the experience with staff and shop itself was what killed it. First, the store is a mess. Tables needed to be wiped down badly and the floor needed to be swept just as bad. The staff was dry and didn’t smile, and I even heard one guy say he just«didn’t Want to be here.» Ok I know we’ve all felt that before, but you have to watch how loud you are or where you are. The two behind the counter seemed more interested in talking about how work sucked and even caught them take a pissy deep breathe when a customer walked in. I guess their doing nothing was interrupted. I usually go to Peets on down the road but had decided to change it up and get some new surroundings. Bad choice. Gritty customer service, dirty shop, and no outlets for studying will keep me going to Peets. I gave 2 stars because the kid who made my drink did a good job. I have a particular flavored drink I get and many baristas fuck it up. He did a good job, so an additional star for that.

Products are great but staff here is iffy. Inconsistent service, sometimes unprofessional, not knowing how to speak correctly in line with audience.

Attention: Management I’m a regular customer at this location but whenever this old short lady works, good morning turns out really bad. She needs to be more accomodating to paying customers, she seems to be in a hurry all the time & since i always use my gold card, i prefer to make separate purchases to get stars. First time, she skipped 2 items & it happened again today. I pay between $ 25-$ 45 on coffee & pastries most of the time before i go to work so have the courtesy of appreciating good business from us that contributes to your paycheck. Once again, genuine character & positivity makes a difference not roll your eyes for just a simple request. RUDE!

This is the worst Starbucks there is. I’ve actually given up Starbucks most days because this one is right by my house but all the baristas here are so awful that I end up just either making coffee at home or going elsewhere. I’d go to mcdonalds and get coffee before coming here. 1st strike — Barista corrects my boyfriend when he is placing an order for my drink. I expect you to be the expert barista, not me. This isn’t coffee 101 and you knew what we meant so you could have taken the order without acting like some self-righteous ass. And you can tell us what the drink is called in a polite manner, this guy had the nerve to laugh in my bf’s face and then correct him. Second strike: there was a lady who got my drink wrong every single time. I called to complain, because I didn’t want them to know we were complaining and we still wanted to go there without feeling embarrassed. The guy discussed it with the employee and the next time we went in she confronted us about the whole thing. Literally came around the counter to confront us. How is that an acceptable behavior? Third strike: I went in one morning, super tired and in desperate need of an iced latte and the guy tells me i can’t have soy milk in my latte. I stare blankly at him because I can’t have regular milk and I’ll have to change my order now, then after way too long, he laughs and says he’s kidding. Then, without acknowledging his joke, I continue my order. That should have been enough of a cue for him to realize I’m not here to play. But no, he continues the same joke when I ask for a larger size. Then of course when I ask for something they actually *can’t* do, I have no idea that he’s not joking for a third time. It was awkward, it was uncomfortable and it was rude. After all of this, the manager offered us a free drink. Giving me a drink for free, when coffee is already basically free, will not make up for bad experience after bad experience with several different baristas. I’d rather go without coffee than feel that uncomfortable. Don’t go here. Save yourself the trouble. There’s another Starbucks in the Safeway about a block away and several other places you can get coffee nearby. I would give zero stars if it were an option.

This Starbucks is horrendous. The drinks were made incorrectly and tasted terrible. Is it that hard to mess up a latte? My bagel was burnt and almost inedible. The barista Debbie was EXTREMELY rude and rolled her eyes at my mom when she changed her order midway through. And then I went into the bathroom. You could tell that it had not received attention all morning(I went at noon). There were no seatcovers, minimal toilet paper(most of the roll was scattered on the ground), and worst of all, the toilet had not been flushed! One could say that this is the fault of the customer, but the employees need to be more attentive. I gave it another shot by coming the next day but it was equally bad. DON’T GOTOTHISSTARBUCKS! I usually wouldn’t take the time to Unilocal a Starbucks, but maybe the management would want to know. I came in on Mothers Day around 3pm. Wasn’t very busy. The store was a mess! Garbage all over, dirty tables, and the pastries were completely empty. The person that took my order seemed a little off(Male with brown hair, crust on sides of lips). He messed up almost all the drink orders he took. Even my simple tall, coffee frap no whip. I could see the frustration in the baristas face when everyone was sending their drinks back. The thing that really topped it was the blaring rap music. I listen to rap, but NOONE wants to hear Truffle Butter while at Starbucks. I especially don’t want my son hearing that. Im pretty sure thats not what the owner likes on the radio.

I’ve been coming here rather then one close to me for years mainly cause of the customer service I receive here(which should he a given anyway). Lately we have a few new characters(one African American lady and I’m guessing a Latino gentleman) . One would never get my drink right and the other keeps giving me these long stares without a smile which could obviously be misinterpreted. On top of it one or the other has hardcore rap playing on their phone every other word being a cuss. I do not feel this is appropriate behavior at a work site especially at a Starbucks. Not only are you killing the vibe for many customer like me who have come here for years but I’m sure your patient, nice coworkers don’t appreciate that either(but probably don’t say anything so not to cause issues). Your rating has went down one point due to these recent events, and I’m being very nice for giving you four stars mainly due to long standing kind and gentle employees you do have. Keep ones that need to be kept and rid of those who cause commotion. if you do not enjoy or respect your work, others will! I would appreciate if management took action and rectified these issues. Thanks

Drink was good but the male cashiers attitude was demeaning as if he were an exasperated dmv worker. We know its not the highest paying job but you did not have to give attitude. And this not usual of a starbucks barista!

Y’all know I’m a Peets fan.. . but this Starbucks(and Janet) deserves this shout out! I came in to get coffee and blast off a few emails to found Janet holding down the fort. The customer ahead of me fumbled as she tried to order a drink off the menu. Janet was patient, helped get the customer what she wanted, and didn’t scold her for not knowing«Starbuckian.» Then I ordered a «medium coffee in a large cup» and for the first time in history, the barrista didn’t correct me with«Grande in a Vente cup?» with that smug look that says I must speak the language to get served. Janet knew what I wanted and presented it with a smile! Hooray! Thanks for hiring Janet.. . she is a credit to the business by welcoming the loyal customer AND the tourist with a great attitude and common sense. Give her a raise, already, would you?

This Starbucks is the only one on Clayton Rd, situated on the North side of the street, about 1.5 blocks East of Treat/Denkinger. An easier way to place it for oldtime Concord residents, is it is in the old Hollywood Video area, adjacent to the Food Maxx/Ace Hardware strip mall. Awkwardly there is no direct access from the Food Maxx mall lot to this Starbucks — you can only enter from Clayton Rd. Parking is easy, because most if not all other businesses in this small spur mall have closed(Hollywood Video being long gone) giving the area a forlorn mood. I half expected to see tumbleweeds blowing past! Starbucks remains, in the choice location on Clayton Road itself, but unless you are driving West on Clayton toward Treat, it is somewhat problematic getting in and out of this location(may necessitate a left on Clayton across 4 traffic lanes with no light). This Starbucks is on the small side, with the available tables all in the southeast corner and fairly close together. It was not busy when I stopped by, so my time drinking my coffee was relaxing, but at peak times it might be difficult to engage in quiet study or work. There are some outdoor tables as an alternative. I found the service friendly and helpful, and drink turnaround was decent even at busy times. My caramel macchiato was well made, and the staff pleasantly warmed up the cookie I had with it. It’s nice to have a Clayton Rd Starbucks in this part of Concord, and for those in the area, a well-made coffee is the incentive to put up with the less than ideal access.
