They refused to give me a table with a grill and told me there is an extremely lame 2-person minimum. How f*cking stupid.

Our favorite Korean place! We came in at lunch time, and decided to go with their lunch menu instead of all you can eat Korean BBQ. They provided a variety of small dishes before our meals are served. The food is SOGOOD! Favorites: Spicy pork($ 8.99) — Flavorful BBQ pork with spicy sauce, best dish! Huge portion and delicious. Yookgae Jang($ 7.99) — spicy soup with noodles and vegetables Dislikes: Lunch bento– Grilled Mackerel & Spicy beef($ 8.99) — Bento box’s portion is smaller than spicy pork plate, but it’s good if you want to choose 2 different main dishes. Spicy beef is not cooked with red sauce, doesn’t have much flavor.

First time at a AYCE Korean bbq place, and my experience was super awesome! The staff are super attentive and someone always notices you when you need something. The side dishes are wonderful, and you get unlimited refills! Well it’s all you can eat, so we got loads and loads of meat, glad we had a big party to finish it all or else they’ll charge for leftovers! To wrap this all up, this place is very nice and I would definitely come here again, I’m actually craving it right now !

Atmosphere: nothing but meat eating factory. Food: Nothing special Service: Feel like eating in a desert. Very difficult to get attention from anyone. Have to repeat the same request for at least three times. Conclusion: Bye bye.

We were craving Korean food and decided to try out the AYCE. We chose a variety of meats and selected the option A in the menu. The meat was bland, lacked seasoning and flavor. Certain types of meat were not included like shrimps unless you selected a different option, not like other AYCE places. I would have gave the restaurant a 4, if the service was good. All we got was stares, staff speaking in other languages and felt as if we were being rushed.

I did not have the same experience as my friend Marcella K. who posted here. Service and food has always been great. I went here the first time with my daughter and her fiancé and the BBQ was excellent. The service was quick and attentive. They brought the meet to us when they saw that we were in need of more. When our mouths were burning due to the spices we had water or beer right away. My co-workers and I have gone to this place for lunch and the food is excellent. The server little appetizer bowls that my buddy Jeff vacuums up! Enjoy Korean BBQ in Concord at Seoul Jung.

I came here with my girlfriend during the summer. The serving amount and the service was alright. We had our bellies full this day, we couldn’t even walk! The only reason why I didn’t give it a 5 star was because my girlfriend told me that she had been to better Korean AYCE places and that she didn’t find the sauce she was looking for. It was also my first time going to a Korean Barbeque place and so far I really thought it was amazing. Overall it’s worth the $ 23 if you really want to have a different taste rather than your typical American food. I would come again because this is obviously the only K AYCE Bbq out in Concord/Pittsburg/Antioch area right now.

Décor is nice and atmosphere is good. Food was tasty and reasonably priced. I ordered beef bulgogi which came with a side of rice and banchan. It was a lot of beef but it wasn’t the best I ever had. They have a deal Monday through thursday for ayce kbbq for $ 18. UPDATE: I went back the next day for their AYCE menu. The short run was amazing and the bulgogi tastes so much better when you cook it yourself. The waitress remembered us which was nice. Definitely coming back.

Things have change with this place. The Manager(Sunny) is friendly and attentive. Still gets pretty slow though when they are busy. Best time to come here is weekday nights or right when they open.

Great Korean Barbeque place for groups. Love the interactive and hands on experience. Always looks pretty clean and organized. Since my family is not an all-you-can-eat crowd, a staff member recommended the combination at the menu last page. It’s a hefty amount of meat but you can also take it home if not finished or cooked. Extra orders for sides, vinegar, drinks can take awhile, not sure why. So far, so good.

I haven’t been to many Korean BBQ places, but ever since trying this one, I haven’t felt the need to try many others. Their all you can eat price options aren’t too bad and the selection of meats to BBQ is extensive enough to satisfy me. Off the top of my head I always order the thinly sliced brisket, marinated beef, spicy pork, spicy chicken, and bulgogi. For the already cooked items which are still part of the AYCE menu, I love their spicy rice cake, kimchi fried rice, pot stickers, and mixed tempura. Everything is absolutely delicious! I would definitely say that whatever they are marinating the marinated beef in, is working very well! It’s a little sweet and has the perfect amount of flavor to satisfy my taste buds. If you want to avoid a wait, I would definitely suggest going on a weekday for lunch. Every time I’ve been on a weekday, I’ve been seated immediately, unlike the time I went for dinner on a Sunday night where we had to wait 15 – 20 minutes(which is still not too bad, but when I do AYCE I make sure I go in HUNGRY which makes the wait time torturous!) The one downside of Korean BBQ is that is unavoidable is that I always end up leaving the restaurant smelling like smoke and meat. So if you’re planning to go out afterwards, I wouldn’t recommend this as your dinner choice unless you don’t mind smelling like eau de bulgogi at the club.

The food use to be ok here, and I would come here for the sake that it was an AYCE place and it was below $ 20. Coming back a few times it seems like it gets worst each time and the food isn’t that great, the meats are frozen and are quite thin and the whole quality thing just seems to go downhill, so I’ve stopped coming here.

KBBQ in Concord!?! Yes, I know… there might even be more of these. But I was introduced to KBBQ in Southern California, so whenever I hear of a place in the little ol’ 925 area I’m totally shocked. As you know prices for this style of dining are racked up in the bay area.(Please forward some cheap KBBQ places in my direction if you know of any.) Seoul Jung has a happy hour which is pretty much all day! For just $ 19.99, you have a variety of meats and appetizers to choose from for your All You Can Eat! **Word to the wise, if you are already feeling under the weather, perhaps you should stay home from eating AYCE — because I didn’t** There are other AYCE options which are more expensive because the variety of food you can choose from grows. I would suggest ordering one of those if you’re with a big party. But if there’s just a few of you, happy hour is the way to go! Just between my sister and I, we ordered the spicy pork, bbq chicken, and beef brisket + seafood pancake, pot stickers, tempura, and steamed egg ~ this is not including the plethora of sides you can expect to receive at any Korean restaurant. So yeah, A LOT of food. Despite my feeling sick, I powered through the meal and was very satisfied. My favorite meats would probably be the spicy pork or bbq chicken. The beef brisket was tasteless… save yourself and stick to the other two! Pot stickers and the tempura were crisped to perfection but remind your server to bring out the sauce. For those of you who have never tried KBBQ before ~ you cook it yourself! Given two sets of tongs and scissors to cut the meat up. It’s very enjoyable but for pork and chicken, waiting on the meat to cook can seem endless if you’re hungry. Make sure to ask for what you need!

We dined here yesterday late afternoon, and we decided to do the AYCE for $ 19.99 during their happy hour. The restaurant seemed pretty clean, servers were kind of friendly, nothing out of the ordinary. First, we were asked to choose our five meats, so we choose bbq beef, pork belly, beef brisket, bbq chicken and pork neck. All of the meats were flavorless, even the marinated ones. The dipping sauce were weak and lack of taste. BBQ beef were sliced pretty thick, and we’re not tender at all after grilling. BBQ chicken were okay. The rest of the meats were weak after dipping them in the house sauce. The salad that came before the main dish lacked dressing, also flavorless. The cabbage in the salad was so bitter, we asked the waitress to take it away. On our second round of meats, we ordered just the BBQ beef and BBQ chicken. We ate all the chicken and half of the bbq beef because the beef sliced were too thick and were too tough to eat. Overall, in my opinion, I think our meal here was a total waste of money for the quality of food we received. For the $ 70 my wife, daughter and I spent on this meal, We could’ve had a much better meal ordering individual dishes at other Korean restaurants. We certainly will not come here again.

AYCE19.99 +tax for Happy HOUR AYCE23.99+ tax for Dinner. I have my reservations when going to Korean BBQ that has no wait time, hardly any Korean servers, and no Korean guest. This is base on the face that if people of that culture would choose to go out and eat their culture food then we can assume that the restaurant is good! This is not the case. I felt that I was really unimpressed with the quality of service and food I received here. AMBIANCE: It was great! I really think it was a nice clean restaurant. The bathrooms can be cleaner. Urinals could have an air freshener so that the smell would soften. But overall it was great! SERVICE: They really could be more attentive to us. There was no time after we order when they came up to us asking if we needed anything else. We had to tell servers that we wanted service, which I feel drops the restaurant hospitality. The servers were very informal and«looking like they were busy» when they really weren’t and we needed service. FOOD: It didn’t seem very authentic. There was very little Banchan and when we asked for more the server had to double check if it was okay but he never came back. The pancake didn’t have the nice crispy feel. It was a little soggy. I didnt like their kim chi fried rice either. :/ RECOMMEDATIONS: 1. Bacon! 2. PORKBELLY!!! Yummmmmmm… :) They also have a Japanses section. We didn’t get to try it though. BUTQUICKLY is around the corner. :) if your not too full.

I’m writing my review based on 2 visits. 1st visit. Came on a Friday Evening and it was SUPERPACKED. waited almost 30mins to be seated. The place got super smoggy. My eyes were burning half way through our meal. I’m used to eating AYCE Kbbq in SoCal so for the price that we paid(20.99 for A course) it was meh… But I figured to come back since it was cheaper than chopchop. 2nd visit. Less crowded. Same menu, but 2 – 3 $ raise on everything! WTF… They HELLA raised the price here… Happy hour used to be 17.99! And All you can eat(A) used to be 20.99! And now it’s 19.99 for happy hour? Give me a break. The sides if anything seem less than before too… I never gave Chop Chop in concord a try but now I might just consider. Raise your prices if your menu selection has gotten better or the quality of your food has gotten better… not for your own profit Seoul Jung. My rant.

Perfect for large groups looking to dine and socialize. Grilling your own food to your liking with a centralized gas grill is an option. Kitchen prepared dishes are offered as well. I’ve chose their All You Can Eat(AYCE) Option A. AYCE is also available under their happy hour pricing(See store for details). It includes a variety of grilling items such as pork, chicken, and beef. I don’t recall any seafood for grilling other than squid and baby octopus. Naming a few non grilling items are soup, fried vegetables, and pot stickers. There is also AYCE Option B that includes even more options if that is your preference. Customer service is great. They are prompt filling your orders. Also, your grill gets a continuous swap and that is a plus.

I came here after a day of fishing near Benecia. This place was enormous and I was not expecting there to be another restaurant next to it that serves hot pot and another that’s a sushi buffet, all the same name as this place! When I first entered I was immediately seated, my party and me were hungry and we decided to the all you can eat. Boy was the all you can eat good, we ordered like 18 things to cook! The price was pretty expensive but the food there was well seasoned and tasted really good. The price for the all you can eat was around 24 a person, there is also a A section of he buffet and B section of the buffet where you can order food from. However, the A section already has like 20 different meats to choose from. The place is clean and would be a absolute amazing place to bring a date. But warning you will smell like the food since you are cooking it in front if you.(grill) Try and come to this place for the happy hour during the weekday its a little bit cheaper 19.99. But if not its just a 4 dollar difference or a 6 dollar difference for the B section all you can eat. Warning they also charge for Food, and Rice that is leftover. Would come back next time, they can earn 5 stars only if they explained the meats a bit better we ordered a meat and this meat looked like it was cut straight out of a cow. A little overwhelming considering the size of the thing, some warning would’ve been nice. Clean, have individual bathrooms for both sexes.

This review is for Seoul Jung(Korean Food). There’s two types of eating here. One, AYCE Korean BBQ that you cook on the table or a la carte and order off the menu(traditional). TIP: When checking in with the front hostess, be sure to tell them if you are choosing to order off the menu. There’s normally not a wait to be seated as seats are available in the middle of the restaurants. Otherwise, you’ll probably be waiting to be seated to grill your own. Large spacious restaurant and it can get smoky. Tables seems to fit at least 6 people comfortably and I’m glad to see the overhead vent on each table. Service: Below par. Our server was not friendly at all and I kinda felt offended how she looked at me. :(Oh well… Food: Kimchee Fried Rice Grilled Pork Belly topped with tons of garlic Beef Bulgogi Kalbi(Grilled Shortribs)(tough meat) The fried rice was good however the pork belly and shortribs lacked flavor /taste that I had to ask for soy sauce and salt. I think I did wrong by not ordering AYCE. I could’ve cooked my BBQ meat to my liking and apply as much seasoning as I want. Overall, I’d give this place another chance next time I’m in the area.
