I’m giving it four stars because people whose opinion I trust have posted, here, that it’s(or, technically, that it was) a good restaurant… …but the reason I’m not giving it five stars is because it’s… well… CLOSED! And by the, I mean PERMANENTLY… as of June 14, 2014. We went there last night(Sat 21 June 2014) and everything was dark. We walked-up to the front door and there was a sign on which the owners thanked everyone for 9 years of giving them their business; but stating that, sadly, they must close; and that the final meal was served on June 14th. The sign further stated that a hamburger joint of some kind, called The Wild somethingoranother, is coming soon at that location. So, I guess the Korean Bulgogi House is no more. Pity. We did, however, stumble onto a Korean BBQ place a few blocks to the west which we thought was quite nice; and I’ll be reviewing it here soon. Still, sad about the Korean Bulgogi House. We were kinda’ lookin’ forward to goin’ there. [sigh] Oh, well. [grin] Gregg L. DesElms Napa, California USA gregg at greggdeselms dot com

Bulgogi!!! It’s fun to say. Even better to eat when it’s made right. This place makes it right and the people that work here are genuine nice people. They have a very convenient central location by the park and very close to the garage. If you are lucky you might even find parking right in front. It’s not a hot pot and they don’t serve all the accompaniments such as the different kimchees and fermented and pickled veggies. That’s the reason I took a star down. But they are very reasonably priced and serve you a hot, piping, whopping plate of goodness. The tofu soup here is mouth watering wholesomely insane. Of course you should try the bulgogi because it is as delicious as the first rain in a desert. Been to many Korean places and this place definitely has a specialized niche. You don’t find many Korean places that serve rice plates and plenty of them. That’s what this place is. The combos are probably the way to go at a whopping $ 12.50 — OMG! Seriously, this is more than enough to feed two. I would recommend a combo and a tofu soup split by two. When you’re here… say bulgogi to yourself and whisper it slowly. Saying it seems to make it that much better of an experience. Shhhhhj! Bulgogi… shhhhh
