My home warranty company sent out Paul and Julio from M&S to repair our AC which had stopped cooling. They diagnosed the problem apparently as a bad capacitor and contactor plate. The estimate was for 377 which as I researched it was a bit on the high end as it could have been done for about 250. My warranty company covered it, so I wasn’t so concerned. Paul came originally for the diagnosis and then returned on a Sunday morning to replace the parts. He was very professional and was on-​time which was appreciated.

Mike blew me away with his timeliness and stellar customer service. After I reported a broken gas heater to the property management company, he responded by phone and made his way over within one hour. He made a quick and effective assessment, promptly requested permission from the property management company to fix the issue, and within no time my heater was up and running.
I will definitely look to this company for any future HVACR issues.

A little strange. Pickup truck has no logos, name, etc., tools are covered with a plastic bag in a bag in the back of the pickup, no cover, cab/​bed inside is a mess! Picked them out of YP, advert said $ 35 for service call. Called them on 12/​24/​2012. They said they would be at my house between 3 and 5pm. They called about 2:30pm, arrived at 3:05pm, and reset a switch on the furnace — max of 5 minutes to fix, and 15 minutes here, filling out paperwork. Did not state what repair involved. I asked what the service charge is and tech said ‘normally is $ 35, but today is $ 150, because today is a holiday!’ All businesses I called were working as regular day, but were booked until after Christmas. I didn’t tell the person that on the phone when I called. Got ripped, even though was only here for short time, and did nothing but reset a switch. Will never use them again. No senior discount, wouldn’t adjust amount for short time. Could have kept a customer, and a recommendation, but decided to make the haul, and run. Won’t ever use them or recommend them, ever. Not a first class outfit, IMHO!

We’ve been using M&S HVAC for years — when the original name was Air Master — then it became S.A. Heating & Air Conditioning. Now, the business has taken on a partner with the original owner, and it is called M&S HVAC!
We have used other heating and air conditioning companies in the past, and we have never been satisfied for one reason or another — either they were late, overbooked, or cancelled appointments; OR they gave us outrageous estimates, OR other various reasons. However, we have ALWAYS been satisfied with not only the professionalism of this company, but also the customer service, the expertise of the person who came out on the job, and the price that was quoted and charged for a job. We’ve made up our own «Diamond Directory», and we keep this company on the front page of the section on heating and air conditioning units (and their repair). We don’t ever want to make the mistake of calling some other company by mistake.
We want to make special mention of Paul — the employee who recently repaired the thermostats and wiring on our furnace and air conditioning units during one of the coldest spells Marin County had around the holidays. Paul was not only dependable when he said he would be at our house at a certain time, but he knew what he was doing. He had to make several trips to our home because of the problems involved in our system, but he was always on time, always polite and courteous, very professiona, and he managed to give us the best possible price for the labor and parts involved in the service calls.
We would highly recommend this company. Even though we live in Marin County, and this company is in Contra Costa County, they came over to our house almost immediately after we telephoned them for service. There is no way you would be dissatisfied with this company. Ask for Paul — if you can get him. He is one of their valued employees!
