Kindred Nursing and Healthcare – Bayberry

Cncd Bayberry was terrible. I went there for PT after my knee surgery. I was a fall risk and it would take up to 30 minutes for an attendant to come. They have minimal AC, I also have MS and the triple digit heat was terrible. I had my caretaker purchase fan from Walgreen’s. I am also Diabetic and Lactose intolerant. Every meal I was served milk, ice cream, jelly with sugar to mention a few. They have one ice pack for you injuries. Once you utilized it you are given chipped drink ice in a pillowcase. This proceeded to wet my bed, stitches and the floor. The floor became a slip hazard. The floor wetness was hard to see as my overhead light blew out on the first day. The patient advocate took away the pills she had just had me sign out from their pharmacy and charge to my insurance. Her statement was «Thats’ my problem.» It would be better to take your loved one to Oregon for the Oregon Death with Dignity Act.

I finally had a chance to submit a review. I don’t know why the lady posted this place is terrible. I can tell you everyone has a preference and different outlook. I heard so much great things about the Kindred organization and well recommended from local hospital. I heard they manage complex patients and well known in the area. As far as care goes they go above and beyond. My love one was there for a month and when I ask the case manager and the director of the nursing department was very knowledgable and take pride in his nursing staff. If there was issues it was addressed right away. You have to take a tour and talk to the admission person he was knowledgable and been there for awhile now. They are friendly and don’t worry how the facility looks like. When I walked in it was a good feeling and it doesn’t smell at all. The only thing I have to say is meet with the director of nursing and ask questions. Also there are several rehab facilities in Concord and its not all about the looks of the facility look for the best rehab is my recommendation. Overall I would recommend to family and friends.

This facility was terrible! Do not place your family member there. They will nicely tell you that they are taking care of important health care issues then not follow through. They discharged my uncle with an active infection, no medications (for 3 days), would not communicate with me to resolve safety issues. My uncle got very weak and dehydrated there. Very bad news. In addition, he was bedridden and they did not order any equipment for him upon discharge and he fell out of bed once he left.
