Love this place! Always come here to get my GoodDay fix. Owners are wonderful and are always willing to strike a conversation with me. I love Indians!

This store has always been a pain to go to but sometimes I have no choice because there are not many Indian stores in the neighborhood. No type of customer service at all! If you can’t find something they don’t get out from behind the counter to even help you.

So, this place is interesting. It’s funny when someone calls a place«interesting» because that could really go in a good or a bad direction… I’m not quite sure which direction this review will go, to be honest. This place has me a bit confused. When I need to go pick something up, such as moong beans or something, this is where I go. The common things you need for some good old fashioned Indian cooking can be found here. And, usually there are a few brands, so you have options. But be sure to dig around if at first you don’t find what you’re looking for. Things seem organized, fairly restricted to their respective sections of the racks. But oh no, don’t let that fool you, because neatly stacked behind and below many items are DIFFERENT items… Is that to be expected, sure, I guess so? Does it make you feel like the place is very organized? I guess maybe organized enough? Once you realize that things are kinda mixed a together a bit, it makes shopping here a lot easier. They’re usually in the vicinity of where you think they should be. And as far as the customer support, don’t expect the guy behind the counter to show much excitement. Not saying he is mean, or rude. In fact, he actually may be a great guy. I haven’t really tried to strike up a conversation with him. But for the most part, he’s just… there. He’s doing his thing, ringing people up as they come. And also answering questions with just enough detail and offering just enough help to make you wonder whether he is or isn’t helpful. I like to give him the benefit of the doubt and just think maybe I’m not asking the right questions.

Very interesting system of organizing DVDs… They were just arbitrarily flung in random stacks. I asked the proprietor for a title, and he starting sorting through the hundreds of DVDs. After watching him sort for a few minutes, I asked if I could help. He happily accepted my offer, and walked away to do something else! Then he told me to make sure I kept them in order as if there was a method to the madness! It’s like $ 1 – 2 to rent and only like $ 3 to buy. Just beware of the quality. One time, I actually saw a person’s head in the middle of the movie. At one point, the person even got up. In addition to renting/buying movies, you can also do all your desi shopping here. From rusk to tamarind paste, they have it all. If you need to seduce your partner after cooking some Indian food, check out the shop next door.
