This is my favorite place for dinner! When you ask for«spicy» here you get tearing up, runny nose SPICY!!! It is a bit over priced in my opinion but there is a Groupon available that I recommend purchasing. Beer and Wine are inexpensive here. I have never ordered anything I did not like. They also never answer the phone so I suggest just stopping by, I have never been here and not got a seat. It is hard to find, if you put your hand on the Starbucks next to Todos Santos Park and follow the wall, you’ll find it in the back of the building by the Parking lot.

My husband and I are big fans of this place. We introduced this place to our friends and they all love it. We love the combination of garlic naan and butter chicken. ミ()ミ Well, technically, we love almost everything on the menu.(Lamb tikka masala is fantastic too, must try!!!) The restaurant has great customer service. Waiters/cashiers are nice and friendly. The food is a bit pricy compare to other Indian restaurant. But worth it.

I’m quite satisfied with the quality of food here. I’ve ordered take out from here a few times now. Orders are always packed well and made exactly as ordered. I’m a big fan of the goat curry and lamb biryanni, mildly spiced and with bone! Big portions and they don’t ruin the dish by adding nuts and raisins. Vegi dishes like dhal makhani, egg plant, and okra bhindi have all been very good also. Phone orders are usually ready within 30 minutes with a sofa/lounge area if you do have to wait around.

Indian buffet is one of the bests in Bay Area. The foods looked freshly cooked. One time I reached almost when the buffet was about to close so some of the items were empty but the owner got different entrees to compensate that without extra cost. Nice gesture. Should visit. Thanks.

This place has really good flavors. I have dined in and taken out. Their groupon coupon is a really good deal, and sometimes they will let you order take out with the groupon, if you call first to confirm. I was really sick on my birthday and I wanted to come here– I knew I would be able to taste something even though I was really clogged. The biryani is packed with veggies and flavor. Their curries are rich and tasty, service is okay. Price is $$/$$$$, but the groupon is a great deal and they respond positively to it. The atmosphere is casual and intimate, a good place for a date or an impromptu dinner right across from the park and shop.

This is our second delivery order from Himalayan. The Unilocal24 app said an hour, food arrived hot and utterly delicious and perfect in under 30 minutes. The portions are perfect, the 99 cent rice feeds 2 generously and is perfectly seasoned. Note that you’d like chutney or raita or chili or tamarind sauce on any of the note lines which we did the second time-the first time none came and I’m somewhat of a chutney junkie. Their sauces are delicious. The meats are so tender and well-trimmed. The leftovers are even better so get extra. :) Ordering for delivery on Unilocal24 app is so easy, then hit apple pay and 30 minutes later-dinner.

This is the best Indian food I’ve had in the east bay(and I eat a lot of Indian food). Would have been an easy 5, but the food took seemingly forever to get to the table(~45 min). There wasn’t a bad dish — we had the butter chicken, lamb korma, chicken tandoori, and one other that I can’t remember.

Came here for the first time with a groupon, but been here more than a handful of times. This is our go too place when we’re feeling non Asian or America food. I love this place. I love the atmosphere. It’s nice & quiet. The food is awesome & affordable. My boyfriend & I have great service everytime we go here. They’re vegatian options are good too. I haven’t gone to lunch but it looks like a steal for $ 9.99 lunch buffet.

Ok first time here and it was Amazing! Service is a little slow at times(I’ve heard) but it was well paced last night with 4 of us on a Friday. Food is at the OMG level Probably go back for the lunch buffet soon. But seriously the food is a knock out

TL;DR: Deceptive portions, slow service, unique food! This place was pretty quiet on a Saturday afternoon. My table of two was the only party at the time, and the food still look a long time to come out. We started with the Chicken Momo, which were essentially chicken dumplings with a nice red dipping sauce. The dumplings reminded me a lot of Chinese Xiao Long Baos. The outside was chewy and the filling was delicious and juicy. It was kind of lukewarm though, it might have been tastier if it was hotter. We were surprised the food wasn’t warmer despite how long it took to bring the dumplings out! We also ordered the chicken curry with rice and garlic naan. The meal was pretty deceptive; at first it didn’t seem like there was enough food, but we were extremely stuffed towards the end. The chicken was tender and delicious. We ordered it with medium spice and was moderately spicy; I suggest getting mild or maybe no spice if you can’t handle spicy well. I would definitely come back to try more dishes! The food is similar to Indian food, but has its own distinctions that make it a completely different experience.

Mediocre food. That’s all I can say about this restaurant. The service was too slow when it wasn’t that busy. I had better Indian food in a buffet before. Maybe this place is the best one in Concord but I won’t be coming back here.

Find yourself a Bestfriend who’s down to eat whenever and wherever because if it wasn’t for mine, I would have never stopped by this place and I would have missed out on such a great spot ! Now, I’ve only had Nepalese food once and that was from a food truck that I stumbled upon at Off The Grid last year where I tried some chicken momo’s which I personally thought were pretty bomb at the time but Himalayan Cuisine’s chicken momo’s were a little overwhelming than I thought they would be. THEY.WERE.THE.BOMB. Service was prompt, there was only 2 tables in the building at the moment but we did notice others picking up to go orders. The food did take a little while to come but since we were busy talking, we weren’t bothered by it. MUSTTRYS: CHICKENMOMOS $ 8.99 — steamed chicken dumplings with tomato chutney on the side BREADBASKET $ 4.99 — trio of naan’s: plain garlic and onion HALFCHICKENTANDOORI $ 10.99 — comes out in a sizzling plate. CHICKENMOMOS: The dough used to make the dumplings were light and tender. The insides were delicious and adding that tomato chutney literally kicked up the flavor. BREADBASKET: Piping hot, light and fluffy. They were cut into triangles which were more presentable to look at. The onion and garlic naan were so good, we forget to try out their plain naan. HALFCHICKENTANDOORI: TENDERRRRRR and flavorful, that’s all you need to know before trying this out. What stood out of our meal, as funny as this sounds, was their onion naan. Besides the momo’s, their onion naan was out of this world and I’m usually not fond of onion naan either. Many people have mentioned that the buttered chicken was something to try but I wasn’t a huge fan of it. It was too rich for me and it was served in a significantly small bowl and for $ 11.99, me thinks not this time. REDFLAGS: — as others have mentioned, take out and delivery should be steer cleared. When I see enough of the same pattern in reviews, I know I should take that as a sign. — since food did take long, I suggest not coming here starving. All in all, I’m very glad that we stumbled upon this place. I can’t compare this spot with Naan n Curry like others have because they’re literally Night and Day, to me. OTHERDEETS: — parking is tight, carpool if you’re a big group. — they take cash and card — they had an awesome groupon deal that my Bestfriend purchased.(Don’t forget to tip off from the PRE-DISCOUNTED amount!) — they have inside and outside seating -$ 9.99 lunch buffet 11am-2:30pm — inside looks kind of intimate so a great spot for a date!

I had the strangest experience the other night ordering delivery from here. My wife is very preggo and we wanted a nice meal in and watch a movie. Ordered the indian food and they say it will take 45 min. We wait until over an hour and start trying to call in but just get the busy signal over and over as we try to call in 5 min increments. We finally get through after waiting an hour and a half. The guy doesn’t know where the driver is. I complain and say I want a refund. The guy says no, it’s in the way. It will be there in 10 minutes. I call back after 15 minutes to say where the hell is the food, give me my money back. The guy offers to give me the drivers number and I said no, he’s your driver you need to figure this out or give me a full refund. He says he will call the driver and I stay on the line. He says the driver said he steady delivered the food… I said wtf, no he didn’t. Then he talks some more to the driver and he tells me the food is on the way. So I wait and the food finally arrives, the driver is very apologetic. The food is warm surprisingly but very spicy when we had ordered mild. And let’s not forget 2 hours+ late. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere.

I went here for the lunch buffet. Compact menu, fresh and good tasting items. Big up on using mixed greens instead of iceberg lettuce in the salad section. Please don’t change. The staff is also super friendly. And O, did I mention all this for 10 bucks?!

Location: It’s located between Wells Fargo and Bank of America across Sharetea. Parking can be tough. Ample space for indoor and outdoor seating. With only 3 tables including ours, I could hear the kitchen staff. Service: Very pleasant, attentive, and informative server. Food: Portions were fair. The flavor was there, but I was left wanting more. Pricing could be better. We had the Fish Pakora, Butter Chicken, Aloo Gobi, and Basmati Rice.

Best Indian/Nepalese food I’ve had in a long time… right here in Concord. It will be in my regular rotation. Everything is cooked to order so it takes a little longer but it was so worth the wait. We ordered samosas, butter chicken, basmati rice, and garlic naan. Everything was excellent! More than enough food for 4 people with some left to take home. Very reasonable prices.

Location: this place was a little hard to find. It is on a small side street between Bank of America and Wells Fargo Bank just across from Todos Park. Service: Our server was very courteous and took our order promptly. I liked how he also asked if we wanted mild or spicy for the dishes. We went for mild as we didn’t know what to expect. Our water glasses were always being filled(a plus because I tend to drink a lot when dining out). Food: When the food came out I was kinda surprised how small the portions were. But as we started our meal it became apparent that these were very filling with the rice and naan. Chicken Momo: These look like Chinese dumplings from the pictures. But that’s the only similarity. The minced chicken was flavored just right. It comes with a tomato chutney that did not overpower the flavors. Chicken Tiki Masala: This was delicious as the chicken was cooked just right. We scooped up every bit of the sauce with our naan. Aloo Gobi: Roasted cauliflower, potatoes, and spices made this a big hit with a very reluctant kid who didn’t want any vegetables. She even had seconds. Naan: Plain and Garlic was sooo good! It was not the thick naan that some places serve. These were on the thinner side and had a nice texture to them. Overall: Originally discovered this place from Groupon as I have never had Himalayan cuisine before. I found that the spices were not as overpowering as some Indian restaurants. We will definitely come back again and try the lunch buffet.

This is a rather small restaurant hidden from the main road and if not for Unilocal I doubt if I would’ve tried this place. The ambiance is casual. It is a quiet place with largely asian style interiors. We got seated immediately as the crowd was minimal. We ordered Samosa for starters, the bread basket and Himalayan style mixed vegetables for main course and mango lassi for drinks. The food is very high quality. The samosas were very fresh which is unlikely in most places given that they are prepared in advance and stocked. It didn’t seem like that here. The service is also good. The one thing I didn’t like was how the lights in the restroom were switched off which made me feel queasy. Overall, a neat place to have lunch or dinner.

Solid 3.5 stars, rounding up to 4. A few weeks ago, while standing in line during my inaugural visit to Sharetea, I noticed Himalayan Cuisine tucked away in the back of the adjacent building that houses Starbucks and a couple eateries. I’ve always wanted to try Himalayan food and when I saw a sign saying they have a weekday lunch buffet, I was sold on trying them out. An Indian friend of mine and I went there for lunch today. We arrived at around 1:00pm. Upon entering the restaurant, we were greeted by one of the servers. As soon as we told her we were there for the buffet, she pointed at where our table was and told us to go right ahead to the food. Do not pass Go. Do not collect $ 200. Go straight to the food! The buffet consisted of six vegetarian dishes(okra/eggplant/potato/garbanzo beans/cabbage), four chicken/fish dishes(chili chicken, butter chicken, curry fish, and chicken tandoori), and a few other items. My friend recognized everything since they were all Indian dishes and he did not see anything Himalayan items in the buffet. Basically, we were eating Indian food with a Himalayan twist. I was disappointed, but no big deal as long as the food was good. The food was fresh since all the dishes were made in small batches. I really enjoyed the okra, eggplant, butter chicken, and curry fish. Overall, all the dishes weren’t too spicy and they all had complex flavors. The garlic naan that came with the meal was the perfect vessel to mop up all the extra sauces. The staff was very polite and friendly, especially the owner. While I was getting food, he came up and introduced himself to me. He briefly explained the differences between Himalayan food and Indian food. I only got half of what he said(he spoke in the very soft voice), but the fact that he spent the time talking to me made a very good impression. The buffet costs $ 9.99(drinks extra, no refills) and it runs from 11:00am to 3:00pm on weekdays. Although I was disappointed I didn’t get to try true Himalayan food, the visit was still very enjoyable. I will go back again.
