This is a great place to go and grab a drink or two. Bartenders are always friendly and drinks are always strong. Cash only but they have an atm machine or there’s a Wells Fargo a minute away. Come in on Tuesdays and listen to mike ofeish, he takes requests and if he doesn’t know it he will learn it and play it the next week!

My favorite hang-out spot, especially for karaōke!!! Spider the bartender is the absolute best! I definitely recommend coming in, it’s friendly and always a blast!

These folks are here to entertain, serve and comforts everyone that walks through their doors. You have to be a real d-bag, idiot or total tweak to get on their bad side. 95% or more of the customers are really cool too. Not a huge place but you’ll find huge hearts and great conversations anytime you drop by. Great neighborhood watering hole that will make you feel relaxed and peaceful when you need a break from the Bay Area rat race…

Awesome spot for a eclectic group of people. Cash bar which sometimes can be a hassle. Bar staff is excellent and personable. Karaōke is king here and they get quite a crowd on Fri/Sat nights. I own the song Tequila!

Captain’s Chest is money. Bring that too… cash only. Laid back vibe. Good people, good times.

James had a heavy pour and is easy on the eyes. Don’t waste your time elsewhere in town. Appreciate the push and the pain associated with Captains, respectfully.

This place is great! Very interesting mix of people, but that’s just one reason why I love dive bars. It’s a pretty small and intimate spot, which makes people watching that much better. We came on a Saturday and that happens to be one of the nights that they do karaōke. At times my ears started to bleed, but there were a bunch of people that were really good at singing. Shout out to the woman that sung some Amy Winehouse and sounded just like her! Everything from the service at the bar to the friendly regulars, made it an enjoyable experience. There are only two bathrooms, but what I really appreciate is that there is one women’s restroom and the second is unisex. So yes ladies, you don’t have to sneak into the men’s bathroom when there isn’t a line, we can use both. Captain’s Chest is cash only and there is an ATM inside.

One of the best dive bars out there. James runs a good house, and no matter the time of day, you can come in, knock back a beer or two, and have some fun discussing the topics of the day. They even have Karaōke three nights a week — Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Go on down — you’ll have a great time!

Yes, this is definitely a dive bar. But some people like dive bars. I happen to love them. Drinks are cheap, karaōke is great, bartenders are always friendly. Certainly an interesting mix of people. They have an ATM but be sure to bring cash if you want to avoid the fees.

This place is fun. Super cozy, cash only, good prices, darts, and the bartender Kevin is super chill and legit! Come here with friends and catch up and queue up some good songs on the jukebox!

Captains Chest is surely a dive bar, I had never ever been inside before. When I walked In I felt as if I was transported back to the 1960’s. This place is so outdated and it smells too. I went in with a friend, we ordered pa beer each. When I pulled out a credit card to pay for it the bartender said they only take cash. I mean, what kind of business, in this day and age, only takes cash! Never ever will I go inside that nasty place ever. I recommend, whoever reads this… don’t go!

Came on a Saturday night for a friend’s birthday gathering. I personally prefer going to box karaōke places, but the karaōke atmosphere here was pretty fun! I’m still too shy to go up by myself to sing, but the lady doing the DJ-ing was pretty encouraging to all guests. She kept the music going(mixture of hip hop, Top 40, and country) in between people performing. It looks like they have a full bar, with a few beers on tap. I only wanted soda that night, and the bartender was nice enough to only charge $ 1 instead of $ 2. There was also a big high school reunion at this location but we still had decent service from the bartender. DJ even gave us a birthday shout out! Please note — CASHONLY& I didn’t see if there was an ATM inside. But there’s a Trader Joe’s in the same shopping center so you can get cashback there.

This place has pretty cool décor. The bartender that day, was a super friendly girl, who gave my friend diet coke on the house, while my other friend and I ordered other drinks. I tried a mimosa for the first time and was not disappointed. The only downside to this place is they do not have beer on tap.

When you walk into Captain’s Chest you feel as though you are walking back in time. The car has no windows, so there is no natural light. It feels like an old eighties bar with the same get up. Make sure to bring cash, because they don’t accept credit or debit cards. We enjoyed sipping some beers while listening to equally good and bad karaōke. It was the perfect environment to let loose and sing. They have good well drink options as well as plenty of beer and wine. I was really enamored by the charm of this dive bar. There was something really comforting about the décor and bad karaōke. I would definitely make this place a regular stop if I were a local.
