Wanted breakfast at 1pm on a Sunday… It hit the spot!

This place was very average for breakfast. Just like any other greasy spoon, they had eggs and bacon. Nothing too special. And nothing too bad. You will not be wowed, but you won’t be grossed out either.
If you’re looking for a great little breakfast place, this isn’t it. If you’re hungry and want to have a good meal for a good price, this place will serve.

Great breakfast. We eat here a few times a month. Lots of good choices on the menu. Do yourself a favor and order the waffle combo. The waffle is super soft and fluffy. Best waffle in the nation.

This is the spot for the perfect hangover meal… the portions are huge and the food is wholesome. It never feels greasy or makes my tummy uneasy. I usually get the french toast, and oh my goodness it is amazing!!! Comes with eggs and a side of meat. Their hashbrowns are usually good, sometimes need a little more salt, but nothing a glob or ketchup and tapatio can’t fix! The waffles are also good, nice and fluffy with a crispy crust. The staff is always friendly, and the prices are pretty good for what you get. This is my go to breakfast spot on my days off, and I love that I live so close!

I ordered the «Healthy» omelette. It was delish, and the fruits were all sweet. The service and people were great!

Been coming here almost weekly for the past several months. The waitresses are super friendly, greet you promptly, and are quick to refill your drinks… Love that! The menu gives you lots of options for breakfast or lunch, whether you’re a vegetarian or meat eater. The kitchen is open and kept very clean. I like to try something new each time and have been pleased with everything, so far. French Toast, Strawberry Waffle, Chicken Pesto sandwich, British Burger, Zucchini sticks,…I could go on

My husband Jaeson and his breakfast buddy Gary found this place recently, and are regulars already! I was invited today, and knew immediately why it’s a new favorite. The food was fabulous, the staff was friendly, and it was a perfect place to spend time together.
As we walked in, I overheard a patron walking out and saying to his companion that this is now his favorite breakfast place. I concur!

A good little café to eat at. Food is good. It’s quiet and a small town café appeal. Have eaten here many times. I’m a lifer at this joint.

This was a perfect place to have breakfast! We didn’t have to wait at all and we were greeted and seated right away. The interior design is beautiful and clean. Our server was very friendly, took our orders, and food was delivered almost immediately. They have sooo many choices. I am on a diet so I ordered an item from specialties (healthy scramble with red onions, egg beaters, cherry tomatoes, spinach) that came with whole wheat bread (I gave most of it to my husband lol, gotta watch those calories), and not just a regular cup of fruit but fresh sliced cantaloupe, watermelon, honey dew, pineapple, and grapefruit. It was delicious, healthy, and I would certainly try other items on the menu next time. My husband ordered a tomato juice, which was cool, salty, and delicious, served with a slice of lemon. He also ordered an omelet with sausage, green chilies, tomatoes, and mushrooms, that also came with slices of whole wheat bread and harsh browns. He says the food was exactly what he wanted, the sausage in the omelet were slices from breakfast sausage links, which were complimented nicely by the grilled green chillies and balanced by the other ingredients. We certainly intend to come back and recommend this place for breakfast, brunch, and lunch. One sad thing was no mimosas:(

I don’t know why people give 3 stars only… This place is awesome… Service so great… They super nice, place clean and food is good. I will definitely come again.

My family and I just left this establishment full and happy! We arrived close to noon for a late breakfast, and was told we may sit wherever we liked. The staff is friendly. They service was very quick too. Food came out presentable and tasted as good as it looked.

I found this little breakfast place on Unilocal a few years ago and have been going here almost every weekend ever since. I have tried every breakfast place in the concord area and this place is by far the best. The waitresses are fast and friendly, the food comes out quickly no matter how many people are there, and everything on the menu is reasonably priced.

The waitstaff was amazing-​so attentive and nice. The food was good and the outdoor patio seating was lovely on this nice day. It is a close walk from BART and has street parking right outside, along with 2 free parking garages nearby. It is a block stroll from the lovely Todos Santos plaza.

Bay Leaf Café deserves this 4 star rating… The waiters or employees were all really friendly, even brought out a cold water bowl for my puppy.
Outside seating is set up really nice, relaxing and very comforting! The food was very delicious had no complaints at all.
I ordered the Burrito Omelet it came with potatoes or hash brown, the potatoes were very flavorful and the burrito was heaven! With the Chicken Fried Steak, the gravy and Chicken fried steak just melts in your mouth. The gravy wasn’t thick or to soupy!
Really suggest this café for a brunch.

We moved to Concord a few months ago and happened on this place one morning simply searching for coffee. Ended up staying fire breakfast and have been regulated ever since!
Sit at the bar and watch the cooks master the beautiful spotless grill! Shop fun to watch them and interact with the chefs. And Everyone here is so nice. Feels like you’re visiting your family when you come.
My boyfriend and i usually make this a brunch date but we have brought the kids a few times and they love it here too!

I ordered biscuits and gravy with wet scrambled eggs. The gravy was flavorful and had a decent amount of sausage in then. I wasn’t blown away but I wasn’t disappointed either. Prices weren’t too bad either. My eggs weren’t over cooked either, so I’m giving them 4 stars.

Quality is suffering… Our Co. orders Brkfast nearly every week, and as of late the quality has suffered; all orders to go, yet, the lack of ‘toast’ on toast, a scrabmle of ‘scorched’ eggs vs an omelate that was ordered; orders not accurate, and the prices have increased…;-(((
all point to a downhill slide…‘Help Sign’ in window is now a bit more revealing… Help thyself Bay Leaf… before we and others exit… stage left…

We love it here! The food is amazing and always taste great! The café is always busy but the wait is never too long. Great for small groups too. And if you do have to wait away is always worth it!
FYI– They are great with kids but there is no changing table in the bathroom.

Very good service. Never been here since moving to Concord but I will return to try other things I. The menu. Went here for brunch and my main dish comes with hash brown or country potatoes but decided to substitute for fresh fruit! It wasn’t a fruit salad but actual slices of fruit (watermelon, pineapple, honeydew, cantaloupe)
