La Playita

This place has a beautiful picture menu all around the walls, which I am a fan of. I did not get food, but I plan to come back to try the menu. I did get a smoothie, with a friend. The smoothie menu is extensive with lots of choices. My smoothie was good, not too sweet, and pretty big and filling. My friend also got a smoothie that she liked, and I paid $ 9 for both combined. A little pricey, but they could easily be a meal.
The lady at the counter was friendly and it seemed like she was doing everything. The order took a long time, but I understand if they only have one person, and one blender that they had to use and wash between orders. Anyway, pretty cool place, and I’ll definitely be back to try more stuff and get a better idea of the restaurant.

Was really Hungry Decided to give this place a go Ordered the Burrito Al Pastor Got it in Less then 5 Minutes When I got Home Still very hot Despite me taking long getting home And It was a very delicious burrito!
Oh and there Salsa’s are amazing !!!

Was highly turned off by their lack of customer service…, I was ready to spend some money for their ridiculously high priced food, but the girl at the counter didn’t even bat an eye at me, and I was just standing for a good 3 to 4 minutes (which is way too long when you’re the ONLY one in line!!)… I just left to go elsewhere.

This is a recently opened Mexican Seafood restaurant and it shows.
It’s very small. They have about 5 tables for 4 and 2 tables for 2.
The picture menu is plastered on the wall above the counter (it’s stretched all the way across to almost the length of the restaurant itself, so it does get pretty hard to look at) Look down, you’re see the breakfast menu. They don’t have any regular or To Go menus, the picture menus are it. I got a slight neck kink from looking up lol. It’s pretty hard to decided what to order, when you’re going across the room just to see the other side of the menu.
They have a salsa bar, with 3 different salsas, a guacamole type concoction, cilantro, onion, lime and pickled radishes. I liked the smoky salsa and the guacamole.
The lady taking the order is very nice and helpful.
I got the #2 Filete de Pescado (Vera Cruz Style). It was fried sway topped with peppers and onions (Vera Cruz Style). It came with rice, beans, salad and corn tortillas. The fish was good. Getting it Vera Cruz Style was the way to go with this dish. The peppers and onions added a very good flavor to this dish. The beans were very tasty. i usually don’t like beans, but these were good. The salad was shredded lettuce with a couple of slices of tomato and avocado. Rice and tortillas were okay. All in all a very good dish.
I also got a horchata. Very good one at that. Drinks are usually canned or bottled. fountain drinks are limited to the horchata and jamaica.
They have about 45 items on those picture menus. Tacos, burritos, sopes, tortas and more.
I originally wanted their Birria plate, but they didn’t have it. So I ordered the Posole, they didn’t have that either. Like I said, they’re starting out and are just limiting themselves to some items at this time.
The food was cooked to order (for the fish), not sure about the other dishes though. It took awhile for the food to come out. Surprisingly the place was packed, so the food took a little longer than what I expected. One cook, One waitress/​cashier operation.
I’m rating this place 3 ½ stars and rounding up.
They have a few issues, they need to work out, but the food was good.
I hope they succeed, I’ll be pulling for them.
I’ll definitely be back.

I wanted to like this place… I always give new places a chance, I did wait so long for it to open oh well won’t be back had the tacos they had a deal buy 5 tacos get a free water not bad i said tacos are small but it is to be expected for a $ 1.00 each they were out of a lot of meats so they said i went with a friend they got barbacoa it was grey and dead looking eew my reaction still we ate there salsas are bland meat low quality and we both had the runs and threw up about 45 minutes later. Kind of sad since lady was nice but once a place makes me sick I do not go back sorry
