Worst service ever. Show up to find they’ve closed their lobby a half hour earlier than posted. Get in line as third car then have to wait another 30 min to get our order. No apology and zero f@$ks given by staff. Don’t bother with this place.

I haven’t eaten here in years since I no longer eat chicken. I decided to go today for a biscuit and fried okra. They have a few new items that looked tasty. I tried the lemon pepper shrimp combo. Shrimp weren’t bad, but as usual they were the small shrimp. The biscuit was coated with honey. Mmm… yum! Okra and fries were okay. The pleasant guy at the drive-thru window reminded me of a character from the old movie Car Wash. Lol! This place is not in the best of areas, but at least food was fresh and service was good.

I went thru the drive thru because they only have a walk up window. I had coupons and I asked the guy can I use two he said no. I said can a purchase two separate orders he said no. I ordered my food received it I asked is this everything? He said yes well it was missing my apple pies and I had to drive back. I asked him can I get a extra pie for my trouble he said I tried calling you back. Church’s Compton you lost a customer. I will eat Louisiana from now on. Plus my stomach is kicking my but behind your chicken.

I used to be a strict KFC guy when it came to fried chicken. But working in Compton, there are certainly a lot of choices in the fried chicken field. Church’s fried chicken definitely belongs in the conversation. My co-workers got me hooked on their fried chicken. Every other week I can smell the good aroma coming out of their offices and each time they’ve been to Church’s. The fried chicken is very good. Crispy skin and juicy and tender meat. It doesn’t have the 18 secret spice as the colonel but their simple spice works as well. The biscuit here is so so good. It’s small but man is it good. Get two, ones not enough lol. The good side: Fried Okra is really good. First time eating okra fried and I have to say, I liked it. Jalapeño Cheese Poppers are tasty and has just the right heat on it. Great dipped in ranch dressing. Mashed Potato and Gravy are surprisingly very good. Gravy is specially good. The bad side: Fries, not a fan. It’s not crispy = no bueno. Coleslaw — I think it’s under dressed, I want a bit(or a lot) more to the dressing. I recently tried the Fried Fish combo. Stick with the fried chicken. The fish was fried okay, but the fish itself was very bland. I would pass on this. Oh, this combo didn’t have a biscuit, double no no The service here is usually friendly and fast. Parking is not an issue here. Tip: they have a lot of specials and use coupons. You’ll save a few bucks for sure. With so many choices in fried chicken, Church’s still stands out. For a franchise restaurant, not too shabby. I’ll definitely be back

I love this place! The chicken is greasy as fuck, but packed with flavor, the biscuit was fluffy as shit. All for $ 2 bucks and some change. Service was pretty good too. So next time you’re mobbing through Compton and in the mood for some delicious yardbird hit this place up, you won’t regret it. Cock-a-doodle-do muthafukas!

This is only my second time at a Church’s & after eating my meal; #7 bone-in chicken half buffalo hot & chili lime, I have to say it’s not so bad. I enjoyed their biscuits and cheddar jalapeño poppers. That man that took our order was very nice and friendly also.

I cannot tell you the last time I have eaten anything from Church’s. It’s been a very long time. I just so happen to be driving down Rosecrans & seen a sign that says chicken tacos. I know, I know, I know… who buys tacos from a place that specializes in drumsticks, thighs and breasts. Apparently I do :-) but at least it was chicken and not beef. To top it off I had to order what I remembered to be my favorite which were the honey-butter bisquits… Mmmmmmmmmm…just like I remembered. Well anyway I don’t like the drive-thru there because they have these three yellow poles which i guess is supposed to keep you from driving into the menu(thats just stupid). Then when u drive up to the window its not leveled and its kinda far from your car to the counter so you have to reach over(stupid also) but the cashier who took my order was very nice upon ordering untill he gave me my food. On my receipt it says Victor. CHURCHS ! Give Mr. Victor a raise. I liked his energy :-)
