The steaks and ribs and soups and salads are wonderful, but best of all, their staff is exemplary!!! I take everyone over there and I have yet to have a bad experience. I would eat there every day if I could, but then I soon wouldn’t fit through the door!!! Wonderful food, wonderful people, and good booze — what’s not to like?

Have had better. Got there on a Friday night was seated right away. Ordered and food arrived the ribs tasted like pre cooked frozen ribs. All the sides Tasted as if they all came from a can or frozen. Wasn’t wowed or amazed I have had better. I would only go back if I was stuck in a bind but wouldn’t make a conscious effort to go to dinner with my family. Ambiance was nice service was good

My wife and I came here on a Friday night at 7:45pm, The place was a ghost town. They sat us down right away then we sat and waited and waited, no water no chips no bread… no waiter or waitress. So we set a time limit and waited it out. It seemed like the workers there don’t want customers. So we got up and went to Premier Diner. The Diner was mobbed but we only waited 5 minutes and got a booth. Sorry Tony Roma we gave you a chance we were looking forward to the ribs. Why is this place empty on a Friday night? Texas Roadhouse was a 45 minute was Millers Ale house

I would not ever eat there again even for free, the worst service and way overpriced. Happy Hour should be called sad hour with the prices they charge. No wonder the place is always empty I should of taken it as a sign. Wont be long before they close the doors.

My husband and I went to this restaurant for the first time and were thrilled. It was the Friday night before Valentin’s Day at 7PM. The place was not at all crowded and we were immediately seated in a comfortable booth. We each had a half rack of ribs… and i added a small filet and he added the shrimp scampi which we both shared. The food was spectacular… the best ribs I have ever had on Long Island! Kuddos to our waiter Daniel as our service was excellent as well. We will certainly be going back!

I came here for lunch on President’s Day with my two daughters since they had the day off from school. The place was surprisingly empty, which I didn’t mind at all since that means we should get better service :). Our server, Lisa, was very attentive. My two girls loved their pasta with marinara. I ended up getting the chicken bites in thai chili sauce(with fries). It was okay but I wish it was a bit better presented. The dessert though was star of the day. I love the temperature contrast between the hot, soft brownie and the cold, delectable ice cream. Topped off with sweet raspberry sauce and you pretty much have heaven on a plate. I also liked the fact that it was just the right size(and price). Other places give you a large dessert in a large bowl. It’s like another main course by itself. But not here at Tony Roma’s — it was just the right portion to finish our our lunch. We’ll be back for sure.

I visited this place for the first time as part of a group lunch. The food was good and very reasonably priced. but while the service was friendly, it was also intermittent and not very attentive. My order was mistaken several times, and I didn’t order anything very complicated or with unusual instructions. For example, my waiter endeavored to give me a bowl of soup without meat, but I was served a cup of soup with meat instead. I was also brought the wrong dessert. It seemed to me there was some miscommunication occurring between waiters and servers.

I came here with some friends for a birthday celebration. It was a Wednesday night and we were the only customers in the dining room. The appetizers were good, as well as the chicken I ordered. There was plenty of food between the salads, appetizers and the decent size portions. I never heard of this place before as I live out on eastern LI, but I would definitely come back again.

I came here on a double date. We started off with the onion roll appetizer which was good. I wasn’t very hungry after eating a big lunch so I ended up just getting the chicken caesar flatbread appetizer which was actually very delicious. It came with fresh tomatoes, some lettuce, shaved parmesan slices which weren’t overbearing or too salty. Everyone else seemed pleased with their meals as well. Service was fast and nice. Bathrooms were clean and pleasant. Not too crowded or noisy and I must say, happy with the music selection which I don’t usually notice about restaurants. However, I am on the fence about the prices, not sure how reasonable they are. I would definitely come back to this place and recommend it to others when in that area. I am actually surprised by some of the bad reviews.

The most horrible local experience I’ve had in a long long time. Food mediocre, service terrible, full glass of wine $ 17.!! Really. I will not go back and will not recommend this place to anyone. I give it 6 months before they close. Off my list.

Horrible! We had been dying to try Tony Roma’s since we saw it being constructed. We went there on a Friday night and it was surprisingly empty. I had heard such good things about the ribs but we were so disappointed when our entrée’s came out. We had ordered the beef short ribs with«fresh roasted vegetables» and the chicken alfredo pasta. My ribs came out looking looking like a big slab of meat on a stick… wayyy overdone and my veggies were limper than the pasta we ordered — fresh indeed! Apps and drinks were okay — spinach artichoke dip with too much asiago cheese and overpriced drinks. I had ordered a small glass of wine and ended up with a carafe for $ 12(wth…that’s not what I ordered!) The waiter came by once to see how we were doing. My bf was shaking his head no, he didn’t like the food but the waiter didn’t even acknowledge it. I guess he didn’t want to be bothered and kept going. We didn’t see him again until he brought our checks. I had barely touched my food and wasn’t offered to take it home. I guess the waitstaff knows better too. Sadly disappointed Tony Roma…

Let me start by saying that the food is good. The Ribs are very good & all the sides are above-average. But there are 2 negatives that I’m still thinking about 2 days after my visit: 1) The service was sub-par, but I think it was a lack of training more than any maliciousness. We go to celebrate my wife’s birthday on a quiet Monday night. We are informed that they ran out of our favorite side, the ranch beans. Ok, I guess that happens. My wife asks to get the Mac & Cheese instead without the surcharge which the waiter says he can’t do. Ok. She says, «Even if it’s my birthday?» Yes, she may be pushing it, but waiter responds with«I’m sorry. I can’t do it» He doesn’t acknowledge her birthday in any way, shape or form which has not been my experience at any other establishment. Then, we get our drinks & the waiter automatically gives my wife the larger sized wine without the option of selecting the smaller glass. I order a fountain drink & I’m never asked again for a refill. At the end of our meal, the waiter doesn’t bring over any hot towels which is standard fare there & again, he doesn’t acknowledge my wife’s birthday. 2) The drinks are way too expensive. A bottle of beer for $ 11? A margarita for $ 14? Sorry, but Tony Roma’s isn’t Prime. Again, the food was good & reasonably priced, but they need to train their waitstaff & lower drink prices.

A great experience and meal. Clean, new environment, guest wifi, quick and attentive service from Andy, our server. If you like German beer get a bottle of the Ayinger Brauweisse! Hot bread came up quick. We ordered four appetizers all were excellent, especially the onion loaf. Hot towels came out after the appetizers and main courses. I had a full rack of ribs which was best so far I’ve had on Long Island — come here for the ribs! The manager is a really nice guy and was genuinely interested in our experience., this is a great place, great people, great food, 5 stars!

I’ve been waiting to try the restaurant since I’ve been watching them build it from the ground up. We went there tonight, Thursday around 6pm. We got seated immediately, due to the fact that they’re was almost no one in the restaurant. We sat for 10 minutes, without anyone coming to the table. Another couple that got seated 5 minutes after us, had a server go to their table within a couple of minutes. After a quick discussion, we decided to get up and leave. I remarked to the hostess that we were leaving because no one ever came to our table, she just said«sorry». Tony Romas had their opportunity to impress me, but they fell flat on their faces. I’ll never try to go there again.

Thumbs down!!! Was horrible — — fresh produce ummm no! all the fresh produce looked like it had been sitting around for weeks –when we asked for limes for our water they were so dried out you couldn’t squeeze a drop and the waitress replied that’s how limes come — had to go to bar to get another glass of water — had to bring my empty with me — wrong app served — we were only 10 people in there — will never go back and it’s not for long I am sure it will be closed — Tony Roma should be ashamed and embarrassed to have his name on this location!!! –The only saving grace was the manager who did the right thing and adjusted the bill — — ruined my sons confirmation lunch!!!

I have been looking forward to eating here, the same way a young child looks forward to going to a big toy store. My wife bought me a gift card so we finally got to go here today. First off, the restaurant is hidden in between a few crowded stores. However, there is no signage or advertising whatsoever off the main road. I assume this is a large part of the reason why they were so uncrowded on a Saturday afternoon. Even though it was 3pm, after lunch and before dinner, there should have been a decent crowd at this type of restaurant, especially one that is relatively new. We started with boneless wings for an appetizer. They were ok, nothing special. Did taste a little freezer burnt. My wife had a chicken sandwich. It was ok, no complaints, came with a ton of fries which were actually quite tasty. I got filet medallions with half a rack of ribs. I may be a little bias because I am a big guy and enjoy food, but the portions of the filet were really small. Probably 2oz each. They were also a little over cooked. Still had good flavor though, and I liked the peppercorn sauce it came with. The ribs were not bad, but not as good as I was hoping though. Definitely needed more sauce. Sides of baked potato and corn were fine. Overall, bill came to over $ 70 with tip. No alcohol or dessert. A little pricey, not sure if I’d go back. A little disappointing but not a terrible meal either.

Good food, horrible location. Tony Roma’s is making a comeback in the NY area and for whatever reason, their corporate real estate people decided that this outpost was the perfect spot… not so much. Brand spanking new, the place can fit a lot of people — that is, if anyone other then the people who go to Target knew it was here. It is that tucked away in an off-the-beaten-path shopping center that I cannot fathom how it will survive. Been there twice and both times the place is essentially empty. It is a shame as it is nice to look at with a large bar area and plenty of seating in the dining room. The food was fine — I had baby back ribs both times and I had no issues with that. The upcharged«roasted» veggies were disappointing — they seemed precooked and then warmed over when ordered. Mashed potatoes were fine. Bartender was adequate: nothing outstanding and seems sort of like she was rushing me to order food– maybe out of boredom. Who knows but when I am ready, I will definitely let you know I want to order. Prices were average for the meal. They do have happy hour all day, every day which I suppose is meant to drum up business so that is a good thing while it lasts. Parking in front.

What a shame. We were really looking forward to trying out this location as I haven’t been to one in years. I will start to paint the picture. We arrived around 5pm for dinner and it was basically a ghost town, we were a party of 3 my wife, myself, and our 2yr old. We approached the host stand and let them know how many and they started to usher us to a table until we requested a high chair(I would have thought carrying a 2ft child would have told the hostess one was required or at least one would be offered). Once we got to our table it took some time(at least 10 minutes) before our server who introduced herself as Lisa Marie came over to take out orders. We ordered the appetizer sampler($ 15) the Full cup of the«Soup of the day»($ 5), the Full rack of St. Louis Ribs($ 27) and a kids meal for my son($ 6) as well as a soda($ 3). The Appetizer– $ 27 was a total ripoff of 3 pieces of boneless chicken«wings» a half a loaf of their fried onions and some spinach dip. The onion loaf was basically raw on the inside and overdone on the outside. The overall taste and value was pretty miserable. The soup of the day– Lobster Bisque was the soup and the broth tasted great but what wasn’t found were any actual pieces of lobster just a few shreds hidden in there. The soup if I had to give my best guess(I am a professional chef) was thickened with a slurry(corn starch/arrowroot based thickener) and I know this because there were chunks of it floating in my soup. No bread or crackers or anything was available or offered either. The St. Louis Ribs– I actually had to ask them to confirm they were the St. Louis style ribs they were so small. For $ 27 for a full rack of ribs that obviously was reheated as the ends were all dry and chewy and has that«overly basted» look, taste, and feel to the ribs. A total ripoff for the price charged. The Service– The service was pretty horrendous out server barely checked on us once and it was only for a quick second. I had to hunt down someone else to get a refill on my $ 3 soda. All the food is brought out by runners but yet none of them seemed interested in clearing away the empty used dishes(from the soup or the appetizer). The amount of employees wandering around should have make service exemplary but sadly that was not the case. Management– There were at least two managers spotted during the night and one of them«checked on our table». He said«how is everything tonight» and kept on walking doing the rounds before even staying to hear an answer, had he had stayed I would have surely have told him how things were. This location is in a prime spot for families it shares the parking lot with a large Target, It is feet from a Costco, and a popular grocery store meaning it should be a kid friendly location but that also wasn’t the case. The service was so slow an adult attention span would be taxed let alone one of a child. Thankfully they had free WiFi which kept my son occupied . The bill came out to $ 60 with tax which for the portion, food quality, experience, and service received was by far not worth it. This is sad because we very easily could have made this location a frequent stop. We will not be making plans to go back to this location any time soon or ever.
