IHOP

great quality. breakfast is good of course, but i actually come here when i’m craving some chicken fingers or a good hamburger.

The Commack IHOP has quality, delicious food and the servers make a great team. You feel welcome as soon as you walk through the door!

My family and I frequent this establishment often. And for good reason — they never seem to disappoint! Have you ever seen that episode of Family Guy where Stewie gets addicted to pancakes? «I want pancakes! Click-​click-​bloody-​click pancakes!!!» Well now I can sympathize. Their pancakes are warm, moist, and fluffy. And when you marry that with the sweet golden brown syrup, it’s practically heaven in your mouth. The eggs, hash browns, and ham are always perfect as well. I can’t get enough. And this particular location has that extra dining room attached, something I don’t always see in other IHOPs in the area, which makes it roomier and perfect when I go with my entire family. But don’t be fooled — if you don’t get there early enough, there WILL BE a wait! Attached is a picture of my plate afterwards. Enough said! Oh, and I also polished off my daughter’s scraps as well. I need to stop writing now because I feel a food coma coming on…

ehh, I have not been to an ihop in years. food was not very good but I kind of expected that. I went there for dinner and I should have known better. I’ll stick to breakfast next time. waitress was nice but not very attentive to our beverages. I guess if you eat at a place like this you should not expect much other than a cheap meal.

Great. Friendly staff. Food comes out fast and you never feel rushed, even on a weekend. Restaurant us clean.

It’s IHOP… more often than not the waiters/​waitresses are friendly and game to get whatever wacky concoction/​customized breakfast that you want. I struggled a lot between 3 – 4 stars, but I gave it 4 once I started to compare it to the other diners that are in the area… this is by far the best! hahahaha and they have a low «senior citizen» age, so my mum can get a cheap meal, and there are always coupons available!

I live in Syosset and my old IHOP was the one in manhasset. But now this is my new place! The service is great in the atmosphere is to die for! The two owners are a brother and sister and it started off as he as the cook and she as the waitress. It’s great to know the staff and be apart of this great restaraunt. They both know the people who come in and it’s like family to them. It makes us feel more Comfortable and they are starting to see us more. If you live on the north shore in Long Island, go to this IHOP!

I have gone to many IHOPs but this restaurant is one of the best. Alyssa was a fantastic server and my Swedish Craps were light and delicate. My bacon was perfectly prepared but did have to be returned because they were not burned to my liking. We did request that the bacon be so well done that they would shatter. The bacon was served perfect the second time around. I am from out of town and would definitely return to this IHop.

I love having breakfast ay IHOP but I made the mistake of ordering a non– breakfast item and was disappointed. I had chicken fingers that were dry and tasteless and my grandson had Mac and cheese that looked like it was right out of a Kraft box

You’re standard IHOP on Jericho Turnpike right off the Sunken Meadow Parkway ramp in Commack. This place gets packed as early as 7 am on weekends, parking is limited and so is the seating.

I have been going to ihop in Commack for many years. This staff there is very accommodating to me and my family. The food is always served in a timely manor. We can always count on great food, and good service with a smile. The restaurant is clean. Parking is not a problem as there is plenty of parking in the rear of the building.

I can eat breakfast anytime of the day. So we’d alternate between Friendly’s down the street and this place after the kids sports activities. Give me coffee and a stack of pancakes and I’ve good. :)
Over the years the waiters/​waitresses have turned over, but for the most part, the service is still pretty good. The food is prepare well. I have noticed the last few times I’ve come in, it’s taking them longer to get the food to you. They used to be a ot better with that.
They have two dining rooms, the one in the back is where they tend to put the families and larger groups. It can get a little loud back there if there are young kids… personally i prefer the quieter front area.
The parking situation here had always been a problem, especially with the weekend crowds. But it’s better now that they expanded the lot in the back.
This place is packed on the weekends around breakfast time, so if you go at that time expect a wait in the narrow cramped waiting area.
