New owners! Now called T’s Rocking Roadhouse! It’s been renovated and the menu has changed. Prime rib was great!

Came in with my wife and I and my adult children had dinner the food was really good and the service was excellent it is under new ownership now and they’re totally changing and updating all the interior, looks like they added about 10 more TVs for watching games, they’re putting I hear a video game room in the back for the kids, a pool table room and I understand they will be starting leagues in the spring for all different activites, they also have, comedy, Bands, DJs, Tribute Acts Etc. We are excited for them really nice staff as well, the beer on tap were reasonably priced too. Definitely go on up and check it out

New owners, new chef, new menu, great bar, large dance floor, cool bands on the weekends. Good people run this place so give it a chance folks. The transition from the old Crockett’s is complete. At the very least, come out on the weekend in the evening, have a drink, some appetizers and enjoy the live music. I saw some unknown rock band playing there(The Groove Riders???) they were monster players. Cute chicks dancing everywhere too. Seriously, a totally unexpected good time.

Took my grandson there for dinner on Thursday. Nice, clean atmosphere. Great menu. Prompt and courteous service. And, very quick from ordering to eating. The chicken wings are very meaty and done just right. The smokehouse burger is huge and delicious. Grandson loved the mac n cheese and the bowl of fruit that came with it. Very comfortable place to eat. Lots of space. Would definitely recommend to friends and family. Would like to try some of the other selections on the menu.

Saturday night and this place was busy; but we had an amazing waitress that was funny and attentive. They were out of a few beers on the list, but once we found something that they had she made sure there was always beer in our mugs. The food wasn’t bad, we ordered burgers and sandwiches that came out quick and hot.

I’ve been to this place twice now. The food was average, nothing to write home about. The service was below average. As I looked around not one server had a smile on their face. They all seemed to be miserable. It is nice inside and the patio looks nice in the summer when I drive by. This place could be a gold mine, there are not many places to eat out in this area. They owners should really make something of it. Have some specialty dishes that are fresh. On my first visit I wanted Fish & Chips, I asked the waiter if it was fresh fish and he said no. Makes me wonder what else they serve is frozen. I opted for a burger and under cooked fries. Overall the food is average and service is blah. I wouldn’t make a special trip out there, just go to any coney island and you can get the same food.

My family is a fan of this place. Wait staff is usually pretty good. The host is fantastic! I have no clue what her name is tho!

This is the former Crockett’s, one of my former faves. IMHO, it’s lost a little something, but it’s not bad. Service is usually pretty good, and the food is tasty — but Crockett’s had some of the best Prime Rib and phenomenal selection. It also was a little more fun to me… but hey, I’m getting older, and maybe that’s just me being sad about the loss of one of my standbys. Updated as of 9÷19÷2014 — yeah, every time I go, it seems to get worse. Service sucked this time, and food was kinda bla. I doubt I’ll go back unless it changes hands again.

I love the look and location of this restaurant. The wrap around porch an country setting make the outside a good place to stop. The food is hit or miss. One time it’s excellent and the next so/so. Either way it’s never bad. The salad last time I was there was plain. Seriously icebirg lettuce(and a small amount) and 1 slice of cucumber and a small wedge of tomato. The sandwich was delicious the iced tea weak. Hubby had a club sandwich he says was good and a soda pop, chicken strips for the daughter were nothing special, frozen and deep fried. The service was fine and I do like the décor inside — it’s better than when it was crockets but falls short of being 4 stars due to small portions and lacks 5 stars because of plain food presentation.

This restaurant location is a favorite of mine. It sits nestled along the historic Gratiot Avenue, which runs from the heart of Detroit at Woodward Avenue, all the way out to the city limits of Port Huron. The setting is in rural Columbus Township, and is a stone’s throw from the legendary Emil’s Bar, where they used to have buffalo out back in decades of the past. This family-friendly establishment is open for lunch and dinner. It has a large parking lot on the side, and a very nice porch with outdoor seating along the front. As you walk in, you are presented with a large and airy room, with a comfortable arrangement of tables and booths, to taller tables with bar stools and of course, the bar itself. With varied seating arrangements, they can accommodate from dining alone to large groups, and they also have a separate dining area for special occasions. Immediately inside is a white board display showing the daily soups and meal specials. Directly ahead is the nice bar, with restaurant seating to the right and left of the entrance way. Lively country music plays in the background. My server turned out to be none other than Karleigh H. She greeted me at the door and offered seating anywhere of my choosing. Upon being seated, she provided me with their double-sided menu, and took my drink order. While they have a full bar, I ordered an Arnold Palmer to start. My drink was excellent and arrived in due time. While the menu contained anything from appetizers to burgers to full steak dinners, I settled on one of the daily specials, Kielbasa –n– sauerkraut with complimentary side salad. My salad showed up shortly thereafter. The salad was well made, with lettuce, sliced cucumber, bits of onion and a couple cherry tomatoes. I had ample time to finish before the entrée was presented. After the salad, a slight hiccup occurred. My server changed my mind and brought out the perogies special, sprinkled with with bits of chopped tomato and onion, directly atop a bed of lettuce, with sides of sour cream and salsa. This proved to be an excellent selection, and I was much pleased. A great meal that hit the spot. Upon completion of my meal, I inquired about a military discount. Karleigh told me that they had one offered during the recent Memorial Day, and on other patriotic holidays, but unfortunately, there was none presently. I gave her my debit card and she brought back my receipts shortly thereafter. My bill came to $ 9−¼ before tip, and I was happy with that. If you are in the area, or just want to take a drive out in the country, I highly recommend Tom’s Backwoods Bar and Grill for a nice meal, or perhaps a simple refreshing drink or two. Oh, and one more thing — don’t follow the Unilocal map marking, because the current listing shows the location as being 3 miles north on Rattle Run Road. Trust the street address as given.

Had lunch on February 22, friend had the Hot Roast beef Sandwich. Some of the meat was very tough, but all in all she said dinner was good. I had the prime rib sandwich. Would not recommend. The only good thing was the cut of meat. The prime rib was good, but they over powered it with to much onions and cheese. Soggy bread underneath the meat and not enough to make a sandwich. Fries were good, but hard to mess up fries. The owner Tom came around to see how everything was, we told him what we didn’t like and he was kind enough to offer something else. They are new owners and learning. Service was good, place very clean. Will try again. Also if anyone is interested the business is for sale.

Thought we try this place out. Well all i can say is it is a clean place. Service was slow and our server would not stop talking about their personal life. Then the food came, not only was it cold(which didn’t surprise me) but it had no flavor. I told the server and they did nothing. We paid our bill and will not go back
