Despite repeated requests Sbarros, who sell their pizza by the slices like all other New York style pizza places, will still not customize pizza slices. They claim that they cannot do it which is odd because all they do at other shops is to pick up a piece of pizza, throw some mushrooms on it, add some cheese and stick it into the oven for 3 to 5 minutes… but I suppose that is quite impossible for Sbarro’s. As for their pizza, it’s acceptable for mall food and will get the job done if you have a pizza craving but the plain pepperoni by the slice is really nothing special. I have emailed corporate two times and complained to management multiple times about the fact I cannot customize my slice and since they refuse to do so, I will only patronize this shop when I’m at the mall and have an intense pizza craving, which will be not all that often. Sbarros really needs to adapt to the market, from what I have read they are not doing well financially and have remodeled most of their shops. The places do look nicer but the look of Sbarro’s wasn’t the main problem and still isn’t the main problem, it’s the fact that they do not listen to what their customers want in regards to their food.

Its mall food court pizza, you probably have tried it all over the country. Sometime around the new millennium tomato prices went up and it seems like many pizza places skimp on the sauce. Thats the case here, all the topics in the word don’t help a dry pizza. Try the calzones, with the marinara dipping sauce they are pretty good.
