Among the best… in Ohio. Lived in NY for many years and not on that level like Totonno’s, Grimaldi’s, Patsy’s, Frank Pepe’s(New Haven, Yonkers), Federici’s(Jersey). But it is among the best here. Old school approach.

I live in Maryland. When I drive home to Missouri, I plan my departure days and times just so I’m here at a meal time. It’s that good. Crisp crust. Sharp tomato sauce. Chewy cheese. Super awesome

Light bite! Yummy. Rubino’s specializes in thin crust. Staff are all as sweet as pie. Prices are great. Service is quick. If in Bexley, its a must try. NOTE: If you prefer a heavier meal, make sure to add a salad. :-)

I really don’t hand out 5 star reviews willy nilly, but Rubinos pizza is the kind of pizza you just can’t forget. The dining room is definitely a bit dingy and the service is just ok. All of that considered I STILL deducted no points. It’s that good. No wonder it’s been around longer than I’ve been alive. Now I really want to head over to Bexley…

I’m always amazed at how they have managed to get the right balance of tangy and spicy into the sauce. Tonight, I ordered a pepperoni and mushroom pizza. The combination of the meat, mushroom, sauce, and cheese were a perfect compliment to the cracker crust. I only get to Bexley a few times a year. But, whenever I’m in the area Rubino’s is a must!

Had Rubino’s for the first time. First off the waitress/staff is SONICE. Second, I had the pepperoni and the sausage. Third, both pizzas were delicious. But my favorite is and forever will be pepperoni pizza. 10⁄10. I’m from New York City and from one big city to another, this was TOTALLYWORTHIT. Thanks Rubino’s!!!

I’ve heard you either love Rubino’s or you hate Rubino’s. I fall in the«love» category. My husband grew up eating Rubino’s… would have it every visit to his grandma’s in Bexley. He’s been raving about it the past 6 years we’ve been together and I finally got to try it. Thin crust. Easy sauce. Easy cheese. Nothing fancy. Just delicious pizza. We picked up a ton of pizzas for a dinner, and even when room-temp, they were delish. The only knock is that the crust got a little soggy … but only bc it is so thin. I would be willing to be that eating it fresh out of the oven is AMAZING! I’ll have to try that the next time we’re in Columbus.

I grew up in Bexley. Rubino’s Pizza was the local hangout after football games .It looked like an old school mom and pops joint. Years later I had stepped inside to visit the ladies room. It was disgusting, and filthy. This dingy room reminded me of a mechanics bathroom. It looked, as if, it hadn’t been cleaned since 1960! This came, as a major disappointment. Rubino’s had the best tasting thin style pizza I have tasted. The kitchen’s proximity, to the lavatory, places this old hop, off the menu.

This unassuming pizzeria lived up to the hype. We ordered two pies: a pepperoni and mushroom & sausage. The thin crust was perfect. Each of the cross hatched pieces of pizzas was filled with meat. No holding back on toppings or taste. The place holds on to the past & it’s unique style of graciousness. The owner’s daughter was friendly & eager to answer all our questions. They still have a rotary phone & take orders on a yellow legal pad. I will def return.

Always a fan of the«mom and pop» pizza joints. There’s always something charming and rustic about one of these places. This place keeps it simple and old school by only accepting cash. Instead of pizza boxes, they make this little«tent» out of a white paper bag. My large pizza was only $ 12. And the sauce was tangy and had a slight bite to it. The crust was thin and slightly crisp with just a hint of some well-done spots. The toppings were plentiful and you could tell a lot of care went into making my pizza«package».

After reading an article about Rubino’s being the best place in Ohio, I decided to come try it. It’s the best pizza in Columbus that I’ve tried as of the day of this review. My other favorite pizza places are Nidovi in Dublin and Carlucci’s in Powell. This place reminded me of the typical old school pizza shop. It’s 60 years old and they use the brick ovens instead of conveyor ovens that the major chains use. No employees wear uniforms or hats to try to improve«the image» of each company. They focus on the quality of the pizza and nothing else. They don’t accept credit cards so make sure that you have cash. This was an ultra thin crust pizza. By far the thinnest I’ve ever seen. Probably ¼ as thin as your typical thincrust pizza. Everything was handmade. The pepperonis and sauce were delicious and plentiful. The cheese was great too, but they don’t put a lot of it on the pizza. They use sliced cheese instead of the shredded cheese. If it’s your first time, the person at the cash register will explain all of this to you. Price of the pizza was only $ 11(totally underpriced) and they sold canned pops for $.75 /can. You have to try it at least once. I live off 161 /Sawmill and don’t usually drive further than Polaris and OSU Campus but this was definitely worth the drive and will go again. Finally, if you live far away from here you should eat in the shop. They have about 8 booths and 3 tables for you to sit at and the staff is friendly. They don’t have pizza boxes. They just put it on the tray and put a bag over it so it will most likely be cold when you get home.

I’ve been going to Rubino’s for over 10 years now and, even with my tastes evolving over the years, it still is my absolute favorite Columbus pizza joint for cheese and pepperoni. People have different preferences for pizza and mine range from the ultra gourmet(Nataile’s Coal Fired, Harvest, Bono) to the classic casual(Houndogs, Jets, Adriaticos). Even with all of the great pizza Columbus has to offer, the texture created by a Rubino’s pie is unparalleled. The sauce and cheese are spot on. But it’s the crust… Oh, that crust: Roman-style thin; cooked to perfection; air pockets that seem like an ingredient in themselves; so light that you can eat entire large in one sitting; balanced mixture of crisp, cracker crunch with softened doughy top. There really is nothing else like it.

This pizza is da ! My husband and I always order this pizza for our out of town guests as it’s so tasty & did I mention CHEAP?! While it only takes cash, you can easily take out $ 20, get a large pizza, 2 salads, &2 drinks and still have change left over. This is a Bexley Institution! The pizza is really thin with a tasty sauce and if you’re a fan of old world pepperoni, then you’ll love Rubinos! They also do a thinly sliced sausage which is excellent. I’m not even a sausage fan, but I also do the sausage here. Also, make sure you go extra cheese, otherwise it’s lightly cheesed.

Great place if you’re not hungry because the crust is super thin, and I mean SUPER-OOBERTHIN! The cheese pizza was great, but the vegetable was a big disappointment. It only had onions and green peppers and not enough cheese. It barely covered half of the pizza. If I had choices, I probably wouldn’t go here again. I’m all for good pizza, but for the price, it was too thin and not enough topping. Oh, and they’re CASHONLY!

Classic pizza joint that’s been around for 60 years! They don’t even have pizza boxes for takeout/delivery! If your order’s to go, they wrap the pie in Saran Wrap. Nothing spectacular about this establishment. You walk in, a few tables spread and a couple of booths line the wall. A server will come to your table, or you head up to a small counter to place your order. Pizzas are made behind the counter so you can watch it you desire. Oh, and no alcohol served here. Several friends and I decided on Rubino’s after a day of hiking. I made my own concoction: sausage, extra mushrooms, green pepper, lite onion, oil/garlic«sauce». And the verdict? I loved the taste! Fresh out if the oven. The crust is super thin, thus the dough didn’t take away, or mask, the toppings. I am glad a friend picked this place for dinner — I will absolutely be back, in time!
