I was disappointed when asked if i wanted sausage, onion, or mushroom on my pizza sub. I said sure to the sausage then when I check out my bill I am charged $ 1.19 for it. I definitely will always ask every establishment if they are charging for items they are adding to my order.

It looks like this place has changed ownership recently, my meals have been more consistent and they seem to be taking better care of the restaurant. The tables are much cleaner than they used to be and the fries have been cooked well, not burnt.

My first time having the chicken teriyaki. I was hoping it would taste like the ones I used to get at Great Steak and Potato but it wasnt. It was pretty dry, kinda disappointed. But, Penn station Does have good italian and otjer subs which is why they get 3 stars.

Food is good as usual, but the staff were very snappy and not very polite. Would be a decent place to go if they would replace some people!

This was my third time coming to this location and every time I’ve walked through the door the smell from the nail shop next door is overwhelming. Not exactly appetizing to walk into a sub shop and all you can smell is the nail salon. Tonight when I went in, the 2 employees working were constantly complaining about how busy they were and how mad they were that they were short staffed. They had a store full of customers(who were patiently waiting with no one complaining) but the 2 employees were yelling back and forth complaining to each other non stop.

Got sick after eating here the other night. Yep, the employees don’t wear plastic gloves. They handle your cash, punch on the register, scratch their ass and head then make your sandwich. Counted about 10 health code violations here. Gross place. Not sure how they are open but I guess that’s Ohio for ya.

I stopped in to grab carryout for lunch since I was in the area and I had received an email about a free cookie with purchase of a sub. I got the grilled veggie sub and a small order of fresh-cut fries(the best kind of fries). The fries were pretty good, and the cookie was great(small but fresh). The sub was not the best, only because they don’t offer a great variety of veggies and I ended up with a lot of onions and it tasted like they added pepper, which I had declined. The bread is really good although I prefer wheat, which they don’t offer. The employees were very nice. I don’t know that I will return but it was worth a visit.

I’ve found my new favorite sub. Philly cheese steak with onions and banana peppers. And I LOVE the type of bread they use. Fries are so-so, but the subs are really. Tasty.

Loved the chicken parm! Fries are amazing but the fresh squeezed lemonade tasted like fingernail polish remover. Seriously it was awful. Other than the drink I was happy:)

Seriously, why are the employees so rude at this location? We’ve tried this location twice and both times were epic fails. Last night I came in for a to go order that included a medium fry. When I looked in the bag only half of the fry container was full. When I asked if that was the medium container, they said yes but they didn’t want to make any more because they closed in 30 mins! They were just going to short everyone so that they weren’t put out by throwing in another batch. Ugh. Such a bad location. I will never go back.

I haven’t had any issues with this location. They have great service and prompt service. I usually dine in and I enjoy the food. Been a long time fan!

I really like this place. They have the best fries around as far as I’m concerned. I’m pregnant & sick, 100% of the time, so I’m having craving for things I’ve not had the pleasure of vomiting up yet. On our way home from some Christmas shopping & as soon as I saw the Penn Coast sign I was drawn in! Denise took our order & helped prepare our food, both employees were friendly & quick. Hubs & I both got the hot italian, for our son we got a ham & cheese childs meal, which was perfect for him. 3 hot meals, not drive through, for $ 25, pretty darn good! Also the chocolate chunk cookies are the best I’ve ever had, I crave them all the time & always get one when we go!

Unhealthy, but can be great if you don’t care about that. Not an abundantly huge menu but let’s be honest, everyone comes here for the cheese steak. After all, this is the restaurant that boasts«east coast style». But I’ve been to the east coast and had cheese steaks out there, and these are the slightly resembled cousin twice removed. Pros: *Food tastes pretty good *location is tucked away in a shopping center where no one seems to notice. It’s not really ever that busy(see below though) *the fries are great *the lemonade is good. Cons: *$ 10 for a 12-inch sub. I can get actual steaks at restaurants cheaper if they’re having a special at said restaurant *I don’t like that the workers wear no gloves while making them Samiches *they don’t load you up on meat. They carefully measure and its not a ton of of meet, it’s all bread, mayo, and tomato or toppings. Slivers of steak. *staff isn’t extremely friendly but they’re not bad either. Just slow and quiet.

Dirty, dirt, dirty Every table top was dirty and had food underneath them. The monthly specials were hidden. Considering how dirty it was I would figure the single worker could stop watching TV and push a broom. The food was good but having to clean my own really put a damper on my meal.

Service was friendly. First time at any Penn Station. The sub and the fries were outstanding! I recommend and will eat there again.

Been here a couple times — I have had zero problems — but reading the other reviews now, I’m surprised I haven’t. The food has been good, the fries have been hot and fresh, and the service has been good(even when they were slammed). I’ll give them a third try and see how they come out.

They want your name. I’m cool with that. Gave my standard restaurant name, but they refused to take it. «No really, what’s your name?» Me: «What does it matter?» Manager: «I am going to call it out to tell you your order is ready.» Me: «Right. And I’ll answer to Optimus.» I don’t know if he couldn’t spell it, or what but he refused to complete my order without some other name that might be my actual name. Not the best customer service I’ve had. Food was standard for Penn Station.

This Penn Station was a last minute decision on New Years Day when we found out the restaurant we REALLY wanted to eat it wasn’t open. So we thought, «Hey, let’s get Penn Station.» This particular Penn Station seemed dirty and there were only two people working. One at the grill and the other was assembling sandwiches, taking orders, and bringing out orders. They were yelling at eachother and we realized we should have just ordered to go. We really like their particular sandwiches so if you like thick French bread and lots of cheese on your sub, you’ll probably like it.

I’ve eaten at this particular Penn Station three times in the past year and a two is giving them the benefit of the doubt. The service tends toward rude. My most recent trip involved me ordering lemonade and being handed a cup even though they have to get the lemonade for you. I stood there for a moment and then the girl said«you have to get your own ice» in a voice that indicated I was possibly the dumbest customer she’d ever had. It wasn’t a great start. Still, rude help aside, I still had high hopes for my cheese steak. I don’t know why. My previous two had been meh, and this third was actually the worst by far. It had more onion than meat, and my husband’s sandwich suffered from the same problem. It was impossible to pick it all off. The meat that was on the sandwich was overly chewy and left in large chunks since even the meat scrapers used on the grill were apparently unable to tear it apart. The fries were the only good thing on the plate, and they were just all right. Not nearly as good as fries found at surrounding restaurants. Suffice to say, Penn Station is now finally on the no go list.
