I have been taking my family to this location now for around 4 years. The food is great, the owners are very kind. The owners actually work the store from time to time. Generous portions. I have ate at the one on Sawmill it was very large on the inside and I paid $ 35 for what I normally get for about $ 25. The sandwiches didnt taste quite as good either. If you in the area and looking for something not fried or grilled and questionable as to what its from. Go here… I get the traditional/original ham sandwich with extra ham. My autistic child actually eats here, the same for my 2 year old. If its the holidays and you order a ham — if you don’t have a coupon they will make sure you get one by the time you get to the check out.

Every year I come here to get a Ham to take to our Xmas party. I really don’t know why I don’t come more often. It smells so good when I walk in and I know it is going to taste good when I eat it. It would be hard-pressed for a Muslim to not eat a little of this.

Just got back from having a sandwich and a side order of macaroni salad at HBH. Man was it good! My first trip to the Polaris location. My regular stop was the one at Easton and it closed about a year ago. This store is a little smaller but they make up for that by having very nice people running it; a husband and wife team. And I brought back a half pound of ham for sandwiches. That’ll make two good sized sandwiches. For any of you folks who haven’t tried HBH, there’s nothing like it. It is the best ham you can find.

Apparently this is a new store(apparently took over the former chesseburger cheeseburger), which I didn’t know when I went there. I didn’t even know HBH had café style lunch in their stores. So I figured what the heck? After waiting patiently for the afrocentric ladies in front of me to place a fifteen minute lunch order for two people over the phone and going through the entire menu selection twice(thanks to them for reading it all off to me), I decided on a turkey/ham hot sandwich. The poor girl at the counter didn’t have a clue, had to state my order twice, with extra annunciation, to get her to understand it. Another ten minute wait for our food(1.5 sandwiches and a bowl of soup mind you). The sandwich was nothing special, actually tasted like they used leftovers to make it with(not a surprise, makes more sense then throwing a ham away from a no-show). The only plus is that the place was clean, thanks to it being new. Oh well, don’t let this sway your opinion from the usual spiral sliced goodness you get for xmas and t-day, just don’t bother stopping for lunch, especially in Polaris, where there are so many better places to eat.
