The waiter was nice but the other waiters were sitting around while food we there at the window. Some were singing around not asking if we needed anything. Our dip never came out… the food sucked. Never coming here again. Giving two stars to the waiter.

Didn’t have that great of an experience. My mom and I went in for lunch. We should’ve known that there’d be issues when we sat down and had to wait there without any menus or any waitress to great us for about 10 minutes. After the waitress eventually came, we got the menus and we told her what drinks we wanted. We then had to wait another prolonged amount of time. There was only 1 other table occupied and the waitress was just talking to other people that worked there. We almost walked out, but then our drinks came. The margaritas were near tasteless and unsatisfying. By the time we got our food, we’d already finished our large margaritas a while ago. The food was subpar. I was expecting it to be amazing since we’d waited nearly 40 minutes. We waited even longer to get our check. So, if you like to wait large amounts of time for inadequate service and subpar food, you’d love it here. Needless to say, we won’t be returning any time soon.

Food is always GREAT and consistent, the chips and salsa are the things that vary on freshness and quality.

I wanted to like this place. I really did. I ordered #3 combination. Taco enchilada and chile relleno. Too greasy. Only fill option was ground beef. No side of rice and beans. Maybe this is not at fault to the restaurant. Free chips and salsa at the beginning. Place kind of dark. Service ok to good. 8.50 for my plate. Not the best. I might give it another try

It was ok compared to a couple other ones that I’ve been too. We’ve been there a couple times but like someone else mentioned, you really do roll the dice rash time you go. The first time we went, they stuck us way back in a back room where no one else was, and the lights weren’t even turned on. I really wouldn’t have minded that if our waitress didn’t constantly forget about us. To the point where I literally had to walk back to the front desk and ask for her. That irritated me quite a bit. But we did finally get our drinks and order our food. There are 5 of us, including our children, so it’s always a pretty good size order. With this said, I ALWAYS have them go back thru the order and make sure it’s correct bc I tend to have a really picky child and his is rarely right. She had everything right from what she said, but of course after waiting a good 25 – 30 minutes the good finally comes and his was wrong. So now he’s upset bc he’s hungry, so then I’m upset bc he’s upset and also bc we had went over this specifically so that it would not come out wrong. Bc now I had to hunt her down and tell her that his plate was WRONG! So now everyone but my son has food and everyone feels bad and doesn’t want to eat in front of him. The food in all was good. Nothing to write home about but it was good. Everything else? Not so good. A lousy waitress can ruin a meal at a restaurant in a heartbeat and make it so you don’t ever want to go back to that place. That is sad bc like i said, the good was good. And good priced I might add. But this waitress just blew it for us. We might go back but it would definitely have to be without the kids. Seems to just be too much for the waitresses.

Okay, here’s the deal. I went to Los Mariachis for the first time, last Saturday, August 15th, with a couple of friends. We had a great time. Service was great, and the food was brought to our table in record time(under 10 minutes), even during a busy afternoon. The place was almost packed. Food was great, too. I had the Special Enchiladas. I bragged to my family about how I should’ve went there sooner, and they should try it sometime. So, tonight, August 20th, my parents suggested we go there, so they could try it. This time — 5DAYSLATER — THISPLACEDSUCKED! The hostess/waitress just gave us a blank stare when we came in the door, then walked to a table, put three menus down, and asked us about drinks. She gave the impression that we were seriously bothering her by just being there. My parents said, «coffee», I said iced tea. When they said coffee, you’d have thought they asked for the most difficult-to-make item on the Starbucks menu! It took almost 10 minutes for them to even get it! I got the iced tea in about 5 minutes. We sat there for almost 20 minutes, and had to motion to her that we were ready to order. Dad got the Chicken Taco Salad, which was basically a bed of lettuce, with chicken, peppers, and tomato on it. No dressing, no salsa, no nothing! Mom got a plain Taco Salad, that she said was«okay». Nothing to get excited about. Again, no dressing, no salsa, no nothing. I had the Special Enchiladas again, and have nothing to complain about. They were really good, as they were when I ordered them last Saturday. But, the waitress never returned ATALL, to re-fill drinks, or ask how everything was. She sat at the register, and just stared into space, waiting for the second shift crew to arrive, and take care of HER customers, and let her go home. The second shift crew was attentive, re-filled our drinks, took the dishes from the table, and did our waitress’s job for her. It was really disappointing, that on Saturday, it was great. After I’d bragged about how good it was to my family, their first, and my second experience(5 days later) was lousy, and one of the worst excuses for service that I’ve seen. My food was good both times. But, what my parents got was just ridiculous. They said they’d never go back, and I’m starting to wonder if I will. So, you’ll have to try the place yourself, and roll the dice. I’ll give them a 4 for the food that I’ve ordered there. But, the service today, and the quality of what my parents ordered, barely warrants the 2 stars that I did give the place. This trip today just thoroughly pissed me off. There’s my experience.

We eat here about once a week and have been coming here for several years, even back when it was the other place. I would give it five stars, except some menu options are better than others, and the guacamole is truly terrible. The plus side is the chori pollo. We get it every time. It’s the best ever. My kids love the chips and salsa. I never noticed the place being dirty, but maybe these things fluctuate.

Literally the most disgusting guacamole I’ve ever tasted, and I’ve tasted guacamole out of a tube that a friend bought me just to gross me out six months ago. $ 3.25 for some crap made out of a powder, squirted out of a tube, or scooped out of some disgusting can. The salsa was the same story. Bland, lacking flavor and poured straight out of a 5 lb container in all likelihood. We were able to spruce it up a little bit with the Cholula sauce on the table. The chips weren’t much better. They at least tasted good, but they were thick like store bought chips. My guess would be they’re bought bagged, then dumped into a heating bin and kept warm for serving.(Most places actually by them uncooked and deep fry them themselves.) So basically, anything they can make instant or cheaply here, they do. I’d be frightened to try the shrimp or scallops. But nonetheless, my entrée was good. Lots of veggies, burrito was humongous, and the blanco cheese was on point. The price was okay at around $ 9. Be that as it may, I will not be coming back. There are far too many preferable options out there. Steer clear, my friends.

Better than it used to be. Seems the name change and staff change has made a difference. Food license is still in the Los comparos name if you look behind the register. But still. It’s an improvement

Walked in and ordered carry out. Free cold, greasy chips and salsa while we waited at the bar. Food was ready in about 10 – 15 minutes. I ordered the chicken burrito. It was disgusting, literally just large, old chunks of possibly microwaved chicken rolled in a tortilla. It was then covered in a flavorless cheesy gravy and shredded lettuce. My fiancé ordered a chalupa and a beef burrito. Both of these tasted like poor quality ground dog food. I would also like to say that I have never seen guacamole that was the exact color of sweet peas and the consistency of emphysema lung phlegm before this. I am unable to comment on the flavor due to the fact that I was down right frightened of it! That’s saying a lot considering that I’m an old street punk that has eaten food from the trash many times in my youth. This poor excuse of cuisine has definitely made our 2 year anniversary dinner a memorable one. If you are in the area and are craving Mexican food I would recommend the Taco Bell, it has higher ratings and it’s cheaper.

My sisters and I enjoyed Los Mariachi’s. We live on this side of town and have never tried it nor had Los Camperos. We love Mexican fare so we decided to try it. We are extremely glad we did. We had the Burritos special, steak and chicken, and variety platter. Our service was great. The young male server with curly hair who waited on 3 ladies who ordered a pitcher of margaritas and laughed a lot – he was awesome and went along with our jokes. In short, food was great, service was great and we will be back. Thanks Los Mariachis from the Ferguson girls.

Great place to eat. Management is new and really did a great job cleaning the place up. Food is always good. They have been really busy the last few visits so sometimes they forget to bring me small things like sour cream. But the great food makes up for that so no complaints here. Just wanted to point out.

Los Mariachi’s bought out Los Camperos this past fall after Los C got shut down by the health department. So a new start and I’m willing to give them a try I’m glad I did as they are really good. First of all, this is probably the most colorful restaurant I’ve ever been in. The kitch level goes to 11 here with more colors going on than a kids amusement park. If kitchy, tacky, themed dining does it for you… it’s all in fun. The food was excellent. I ordered the Fajitas Del Mar — Fajitas with Shrimp and Scallops. Excellent! They give you enough food to feed three people so it’s a great value and quality too. I also give them kudos for not skimping on the shrimp and scallops. Seriously, there was twice as much seafood as I was expecting. Service here is quick and efficient and moderately attentive. You’ll get your food and drinks before you know it. This is on my list for a return visit.
