I like Hollister a lot. The store is very hip and cutting edge, a standout place in any mall. The entrance is appealing and the darkness and vociferous music inside makes the store hip and provides a feeling of a great time. The items I usually purchase at Hollister are T-shirts, fleeces, shorts, flip-flops, and cologne. I used to buy their deodorant, but they no longer sell them, which is unfortunate. I also purchase their polo shirts, which I wear at a workplace where the dress code is strict. A co-worker liked a blue polo Hollister shirt I recently bought. Another co-worker appreciated a red and white striped polo shirt I bought at this store in 2008. I like this shirt as well although the top button keeps getting unbuttoned. I felt the styles of Hollister T-shirts and fleeces were much more stylish compared to the ones they’ve sold in recent years. But the current versions are pretty good. I like the pink and blue fleeces. Whenever I put on Hollister cologne, some people admired the scent of it. I find the swimming trunks to be stylish, but they’re expensive. I do have a few pair of Hollister flip-flops. They’re very comfortable for my feet and look perfect for my feet. The colors I have are dark blue, which is my favorite and which many of the female workers wear, and red, which I used to wear a lot, but don’t because it’s over a year old and the comfort of it declined. Having the Hollister logo on the strap of the flip flops makes it attractive. I also like the Hollister name on the heel areas even though it eventually fades. I think I look good in Hollister flip flops with a fleece and jeans, but better with a T-shirt and shorts. I’ve been to this store on days when they’re slow and busy. It’s good to go when it’s not busy. You can take your time looking at the various items. It’s hectic when it’s busy. The customers fill up the store and the employees are swamped with work. Also, the checkout line is very long. I’ve been in these lines a few times and I feel the upbeat atmosphere of the store keeps you from being impatient. It’s funny that there are female managers and workers who wear either jeans with flip-flops or dresses or shorts with flip-flops on the same days at this Hollister. I feel it would be better if all the girls would sport either jeans or dresses or shorts on the same day. It used to be that the managers and associates of any Hollister only wear shorts during the summer and that the girls are the only gender that could sport them. But recently at this store, I’ve seen males wear shorts and the associates, overall, wear them during the winter. I’m not sure if that’s appropriate during that season. But the female managers and workers look the best in shorts and dark blue flip-flops, which can be stepped on. One time, I had a conversation with a female manager wearing shorts and dark blue flip-flops, which I stepped on. She told me I was on her shoe, which was funny. When the flops of the female workers are stepped on and you apologize, they say you’re fine.
But the workers, in general, are pretty nice. There’s always someone who greets you whenever you enter the place and when you leave. I feel it’s a way of them making you happy to visit the store, which I appreciate. I also admire how they ask if you need help with something. I think it’s a way of showing that they care about the customers.

Nice store with good selection, but it is pretty dark in there, making it more difficult to shop. I was in there this morning for Black Friday, and really there weren’t that many people in the store. They had difficulty streamlining a line of only about 10 – 12 people, so I hate to think what will happen when they actually are busy today. I was very disappointed that 2 different male sales associates were unable to tell me what their most popular deodorant body spray fragrances for guys are. That seems pretty basic to me. Neither one bothered to suggest one or tell me if they had a favorite scent… sales 101.

Wow! This place stinks! As a mother, the perfume is too strong and the lighting is horrible. My teenage daughter however, loves the store. This is exactly what Hollister is trying to achieve. Kudos.
