the place is near my house so whenever we feel like some pizza near by we just head over there for something simple. i had the buffalo chicken sub, was too spicy for me. wont be trying that again.

We’d gone here for my wife’s birthday last year and the pizza was pretty good — even my Anchovie pizza was fresh and delicious. They were served hot and in a timely manner with friendly service. All of the ingredients were fresh and delicious. However, the simple pep. and mush. pizza I ordered for take out this afternoon was dry and tasteless. It seemed as though the ingredients were old and had very little of their original freshness. As others have stated, I agree that the crust was hard and less like pizza dough than cardboard. I must admit however, the service(inside) was wonderful and atypical from what has already been reported. At least Cinnamon, the young lady behind the counter, was quick to take my order and serve it to me for take out. She was very polite and personable and an obviously good choice for the front counter. As I have to use a walker for mobility, Cinnamon offered to open the door as I left and even carry my pizza to the car for me and open the door if needed. I hope Cinnamon is appreciated for the extra mile she goes in service to Donatos customers for the lunch hour at this store.

The delivery wait time is long, they do not deliver within the time that is given. They will deliver your food cold. And if you place an order online, they will get something wrong every time. I’ve tried to give this store a benefit of the doubt, but they have let me down for the last time. If i can’t find another store near by, I will just have to go to their competitors.

Ordered on line. Took an hour for it to arrive, a simple pepperoni. Tasted like it was made last week and re-warmed. A visitor to a great city ordering and receiving a lousy 20.00 pizza. I’m sure there must be a better pizza to be found.

Terrible, terrible service. In an area where expectations are low, unsafe after dark/fast food places everywhere/having to know another language to order at most places, this Donatos location manages to still limbo way under the bar. Over the past year living down the street from this location and longer– but I started paying attention after the third screw up– I have decided very carefully to write this review as a warning to others who may have a lapse in gastronomical judgement in an area where there are much better pizza places around, some marginally so. This location has managed to: 1. Give unrealistic delivery times that are constantly exceeded to the point I could have shopped for and home-baked my own pizza. 2. Sent multiple delivery drivers over the course of an hour apart with different orders to my address and insist each different order must be ours even though the address for the following orders after ours came wasn’t ours on the ticket. 3. The shop«lost» their delivery driver– literally LOST the guy. They claimed, «we’re sure he’ll turn up shortly. He doesn’t have a phone for us to call him.» This was after the order was MIA for over an hour and 20 minutes. 4. The people who answer the phone don’t know their menu and can’t seem to read their computer screens and therefore ordering the same thing every time is always a different price by $ 2 up or down… They also have issues punching in credit card info when certain people are working. 5. I have gone directly to corporate with all the listed complaints and more after a year of crap service. Corporate was very fast in responding– 24 hrs– but their answer was to give free food from the same location and I’m on the ledger– not coupons. The problem is that the location is useless and when trying to use the ledger– the location didn’t offer delivery service for an indefinite amount of time because they didn’t have delivery people. How do they stay in business?! Why can’t I use the other location 2 miles further down the road? It has been months and I still can’t get service from this location. So let this serve as a warning. When in the 161 /tamarack area and you get the urge for pizza, you have choices. Both good and mediocre. But, there are many many other choices that will deliver a much better tasting quality product. Unless, of course, you are into ambiguous delivery times that are like the points on «Whose Line is it Anyway», or wrong orders showing up, or delivery guys who can’t read clearly printed tickets– if that’s your thing, you’ll love being treated like the guy the prison cafeteria hates and have to question your food on each delivery. Before you think I am just being a hater– this place was once good 10 years ago when I went to a pizza party there. And even 3 years ago when I first moved to the neighborhood it wasn’t terrible.

Donatos, at least at this location is a ghost of itself. Perhaps its a reflection of the neighborhood. I’ve been going to this Donatos Location since 1981 and this restaurant, like the neighborhood has gone downhill. We use to get almost all of our pizzas here, but overtime we quit coming. Today I was in the mood for that tasty sauce, their pepperoni, and that trademark sausage. Today, for $ 16 bucks I got an ok crust, barely any sauce, I had to search for the pepperoni and there was a few pieces of sausage. The only thing in abundance was the mediocre cheese. A once neighborhood giant has fallen. On a winter Saturday afternoon with Ohio State playing on TV, this place should have been busy, but I was the only customer. I will hate to see another Northand business go under, but I don’t intend to buy another pizza here, unless I decide to give it another chance in another year.
