I love Bd Mongolian but i will never go back to this location! I waited about 5 minutes just for someone to take my name. After we got seated it took a waitress 5+ minutes to come and take out order. We ordered drinks and it took 15 – 20 minutes to get them because the bartender was gone. Once we got our bowls to get our food the buffet was out of everything so we went and sat down for about 5 – 10 minutes to wait on someone to come to our table so we could tell them they were out. They finally filled the buffet back up. We got our food and sat down(this is when my drink came). The food was under cooked, my vegetables were hard and under cooked and there were egg shells in every bite. The drink i got(double vodka with pineapple juice) came out in a huge glass way over sweetened and had something else besides what i asked for. So i left without drinking or eating anything. The waitress was rude every time i told her something was wrong and a manager never came to talk to us. When i looked around there were others in the same boat we were. So never again will i go back to this location.

I like this place because you are your own chef. You can create your own stir fry bowl. Some of the ingredients you can add is fish, sausage, steak, shrimp, veggies like carrot, broccoli, onion, ect… just to name a few if you like making stir fry this is your place.

I loved this restaurant but my husband wasn’t as impressed. You create your own meal or «bowl». You start off by placing all of the raw ingredients in your bowl. They have everything from pasta to chicken, steak, seafood, vegetables, spices and sauces. This in itself was a turn off to my husband. Adding raw chicken on top of pasta had him questioning our dinner choice at the very beginning. But it was very clean and I thought it was super cool. After you get everything you want, you get your place around a huge grill and watch your food being cooked before you by 4 – 5 cooks. When we got back to our table with our creations the waiter had delivered our drinks and some delicious fried rice. You can fill up your bowl with as much as you want, and mine was small in comparison to most, but I still couldn’t eat it all. I loved it and can’t wait to go back!

Well, I usually would not write a review without having actually ordered food from this restaurant, however the environment, lack of cleanliness, and rude service were all too much to stay very long at all and saying to ourselves never again! First of all, personally I dislike entering a restaurant and seeing Jack Hannah serving sprawled out Zoo animals who dindu nothing, but sure enough, that was the wonderful sight to see at this fine establishment! Aside from the uncontrollable aspect of that, the dirtiness of the restaurant, in particular the bathrooms, was just too much. The rudeness of the server/waitress was probably the result of working with Barnum and Baileys having opened the iron cages somewhere nearby, however if politics is what this restaurant wants, then I ask all reasonable and good people to boycott this establishment, to further prevent the tanking of the country. Walk right in, and walk right out is my suggestion.

Having eaten at other mbbq in the north east, I was expecting similar flavor. I know it’s not fair to make comparisons like this, but it was different. Enjoyable though. The cost was right up in my sweet spot.

Usually I would say that if you don’t like the food here it is your own fault considering that you do half the work preparing it. And the majority of the time I am not disappointed. This last time the flavors just didn’t pop for me. Could be my fault not using enough spice, or the ingredients were not up to par. But for the most part its a good place. A little pricey, but load up that bowl if you can.

This is hands down one of our favorite places and one of our kids favorite places. We love that you can make your own and there’s a huge variety. You can ask for lettuce leaves, rice(brown or white) and/or tortillas with your meal. With the variety of ingredients you could have fajitas, chinese, pasta… really the possibilities are almost limitless. Their salad bar, while small, is very good with quality ingredients as well and the soups are delicious! We did have an unfortunate incident when we took our son for his 13th birthday where the server really dropped the ball but the manager is amazing and he more than made up for it! We are fans for life!

Sat in the bar area for 5 minutes listening to the servers and bartender argue about who would get our drinks… not me, I’m not doing it was the consensus. I can see why there were only 10 tables filled up! Then called to complain to manager and it went to voicemail! Seriously… pathetic!

Visited this place tonight. Raw meat on the floor, handles to pick food were dirty, slow service at the grill and alot of the food ended up stuck to the grill. I have had this concept of food before but this franchise seems to have a less desirable setup. Would not recommend commend. Saw likely cross contamination at the meat bar and veggie bar. Scary. Don’t go.

This is another restaurant that I always go to when I come to Ohio. I wish they would open some in the South. I love the variety of meats and vegetables that they have. I tend to get the unlimited bowl and make several small plates with different flavors. I love that they have the flavor cards, but you can always make your own up, as well. The atmosphere is cool and I love watching them cook the food in front of you. I have been to all locations in Columbus and like them all equally.

If you enjoy Chinese buffets, this place will satisfy you. I enjoy choosing the amount of an item to put into my meal. There is no special requests needed. You designed the dish. Sunday at noon for lunch. We were seated immediately without a wait. Our server would have rated 2 stars. How much work does a server do here, other than bring drinks, a check, and clear the dishes. We waited too long to request drinks. Other tables were receiving extra napkins, spoons with rice, complete table condiments(sweetener, S&P). All of the food containers were full and fresh looking. I changed my protein choice, after seeing someone ahead of me, dig their underwear out of their crack, before handling utensils. Buffet settings are not for the germ conscious. Everything is thrown on the grill to cook at the same time. So if you cook yourself, and know cooking times, be careful of marrying quick and slow cook items. That was my fault for the overcooked items. Egg can be added also. Your sauce choice is not added until the very end to mix. Add entrée and dry rice to my lettuce wrap. This is a little dry. Go back up to get some Yum Yum sauce. WHATHAPPENED? The church crowd that followed in that short time was only moderate. The food bar was wrecked. Food and sauce is slopped everywhere. During my entire visit, I saw no one attending to the food bar. Too busy spending waaay too much time making foil birthday hats for guests. PLEASECAN I GET A DRINKREFILL! She’s missing or she forgot. But she did drop off that check, after the 3rd bite. 5th bite… «Are you saving room for dessert?» «Where’s my refill?» Mom needs a box. Isn’t there a visual evaluation of take home container size. She gets a too small paper rice box. Manager stops by to see if we need anything. She mentions the quantity, and gestures at other tables large plastic take-out container. He drops another paper box, and runs away before we can say anything. Server drops off the credit card statement without a writing utensil. Figures. Bathroom was clean. Parking was abundant. Noise level is loud. Less gloomy lighting up front in the bar, by the windows. I have cancelled all offers from their email club.

I had my birthday dinner there yesterday and I really enjoyed myself. This was my fiancé’s first time ever eating there and he really had a great time. He’s allergic to shrimp so they took his bowl and cooked it in the back. We look forward to going there again.

This place is very good and the concept is fun! Easy access to parking and easy to get in out of Easton. They have a good happy hour. $ 2.00 off of drinks.

This place was amazing! The food is cooked to order so it’s always going to be hot. This was our first visit and we were not disappointed. You build your own stir fry with your meat and veggies and all that so options are very plentiful! I would definitely recommend for lunch! We will be back

I had a pretty crummy experience here. I’ve been to other locations and enjoyed the food/service but that was definitely not the case here. We came on a weekend in between lunch and dinner time. The server gave us lunch menus. I was expecting it to be busy but it was not too bad when we arrived. I went through the line and went up to the grill to have my food cooked. I guess I stood in the wrong spot. The cook came up to me and started yelling at me! RUDE! He moved my bowl and someone else took care of my food. As I waited I noticed that they hardly touched my food. When I did get it there were parts that were cooked and other parts that were uncooked with no sauce. There was also some blackened bits. I couldn’t eat it! I asked the server if I could just do the salad bar instead. He said that was fine and he would only charge me for the salad. The salad bar was pretty small. I wouldn’t come here just for salad. Anyways, we spent over and hour here and my husband got one small plate of food and I got some salad. Even though we had a lunch menu they still charged us for dinner. The server still charged me for the full dinner. We spent around 40 dollars on crap. We ended up having to go somewhere else for food after. I had pretty bad service and even worse food here. I don’t see myself ever returning to this location.

Excellent place to eat dinner. When I come to Columbus, I have to have bd’s! The food is create your own bowl with meat, veggies, and spices. It’s usually busy but little wait time. The only draw back of this place… It’s noisy.

One of our favorite places to visit when we have company from out of town. Everyone can get exactly what they want and all be served at the same time. It’s also a great place to eat low carb and when you’re on a diet. YOU control what goes into your dish and YOU control the portion size! Anything I’ve ordered off the menu tasted frozen and I’ve seen better salad bars, but it’s not bad. Just know it’s not haute cuisine. The fried Oreos are so white trashy good, they’re worth coming back for on their own!

The fact that there is always a line happily waiting to get in and get their grub on was encouragement enough for me to try BD’s Mongolian BBQ. I won’t be fooled again. I expected a wait and got one(though not too bad). A cheap drink menu at the bar made the wait worthwhile. Once inside the vibe nearly gave me a panic attack. High energy paired with rushing wait staff in crowded spaces made for an awkward experience. The meat/veggie bar had lots to choose from-everything looked super fresh. The disorganized, chaotic crowd of customers swarming the bar made it a little hard for me to make my choices-my kids didnt really know what to choose and they were rushed along so that I didnt get the opportunity to help them out. The jovial singing of the employees working the grill was pretty fabulous but overall-the food was overpriced and tasted just okay, the experience sucked.

Make your own meal, who doesn’t like that. You get to pick the meat(s), the vegetables and the sauce. You can get multiple cups of sauce and don’t forget as many eggs as you like to bump up the protein and size of your meal. Then they cook it in front of you. I bought the Christmas special. Buy a $ 25 gift card get an extra $ 5 dollars free and receive $ 240 in coupons good til the end of 2014. That deal has helped me save some money this year. They also have an unlimited soup and salad bar for only $ 6.99. You can get this separately or with your bowl. Honestly who needs it on top of the bowl? Your bowl meal comes with white or brown rice and tortillas or lettuce. I go for the lettuce and brown rice, while my man gets the white rice and tortillas.

For starters, if you don’t like BD Mongolians grill you have only one person to blame, the chef… and that would be… YOU. You pick out all the fixings here, inc. meat, veggies, sauces, spices and other misc items(egg!) and then take it up to the grill where the showmen running the grill do their thing and cook up all that delicious food. One criticism my friends used to have was the limited amount of choices of meat, it used to be just beef, chicken and seafood for the most part but they have really expanded upon the choices as of the last couple of years and now have sausage, sometimes crawfish and all kinds of interesting combinations. I have a couple of hints for you at this place, whether or not you’re a newbie or a veteran to it. First of all, go when it’s not too busy, that way you can get a bigger bowl(extra trips cost more) on the first go round by getting the VEGGIESFIRST. If you do that you can pack the meat on top of the veggies and get more in your bowl. I’ve been known to stack mine about a foot tall and get three meals out of one trip to the grill. They may joke with you about charging extra or whatnot but they won’t have a problem with it, trust me, I have done it a hundred times at various BD Monglians. My second tip is quite simple, don’t be afraid to experiment and see if you strike gold! And lastly, and this one’s very very important, remember to get three little bowls of sauce. That’s right THREE! Most people only get one and I have learned from experience that isn’t enough. I love this place and swear I’d eat here once a week if my fiancé liked it as well. She likes it ok but it’s just not exactly her cup of tea a lot of times so we just only occasionally get over to a BD Mongolians. Oh and don’t forget to register with Club Mongo, you will get a free stir-fry on your birthday!
