Reading some of the other reviews, it’s really funny how critical people can be over HOTDOGS. It’s not Chez Panisse, you guys. It’s a hotdog. I LOVE the Angry Wiener. It’s one of my absolute favorite trucks in Columbus. They offer a plethora of different dogs with a large array of unique and thoughtful toppings that cater to all kinds of palettes and even some really accessible ones for your more stunted and boring friends/co-workers. My absolute favorite is the Hounddog. It’s a hotdog with peanut butter and a BACONJAM! If my circulatory system were made of steel, I would probably eat this most of the time. The flavor profile on this thing is brilliant and it just tastes really really good! Some others worth mentioning are the Coal Miner, the Chili Mac, the Hawaii Fido, and the BLT. The Angry Wiener also has some of the best fries I’ve ever had off a food truck. The fries are thick cut, beer-battered, and seasoned. I cannot eat them fast enough and I have even gone back to get more before. I’m just a person. I can understand why it’s easy for people to compare Angry to Dirty Frank’s but as a junk food expert, I have to say the Angry Wiener is waaay better! #1: New England-style buns buttered and grilled! It elevates the texture and flavor way more than a soggy-butt poppy seed bun. Gross. I mean, HELLO? #2: Price and consistency. I’ve had several hit and miss experiences at D. Frank’s but never from Angry. Also the basic dogs at Dirty Frank’s may be $ 3.00 a piece(average on angry is $ 3.75) but after sides, drinks, and a tip I’ve spent almost $ 20 and I never spend more than $ 10 at Angry, including a tip. It’s way cheaper than most other food trucks out there. Also, they’re better, so who cares? #3: They are ridiculously fast! I never have to wait, unless it’s at Dublin Irish fest or something but it’s still faster than everything else. If you don’t like hotdogs, stay away! BUT– if you like a good wiener as much as I do, do yourself a favor and find the Angry Wiener. I’ve never been disappointed! The service is SO fast and OHSO friendly!!! It is truly a pleasure to give them my money.

The food truck came to Rickenbacker. Where there is not that many great dining options to choose from. A welcome change. With that in mind, Thank you for coming. I had the $ 6(prices vary per event) ¼lb Chili Mac Wiener with spicy brown instead of yellow mustard. The split bun was toasted. The right touch for so many sloppy toppings offered. The dog tasted fine. I cannot notice any heavy sodium or special seasoning. The Mac & Cheese was a little disappointing. I like mine cheesy gooey. This, not so much. I was very happy that the chili is NOT Cincinnati style(way to sweet for me). No beans, and homemade. Big chunks of beef in it. The sauce had no taste flare. I always give high praise for good seasoning. The spicy brown mustard was not their own, but gave me the most flavor. To other coworkers who asked about it, I told them this… If they were down here again, I would go. But, I would ask for the dog to be split and grilled to add some grill flavoring. Now if it was an event where other trucks were present, I would be quick to sample someone new. Maybe the Coal Miner next time.

I really wanted to give this place a 4 star rating but just couldn’t bring myself to it, so we’ll go with a 3.5 star overall. The best way to find this truck is to head over to , which is basically my favorite website during the Summer months. I’ve had many opportunities to try Angry Wiener but always passed it up for something else, so yesterday was the day. I really had two issues with the truck, and that’s the lack of items and the pricing. First, they have about 10 – 12 dogs listed, but every time I’ve seen their truck, including yesterday, they’ve run out of half of them. Is it that hard to keep the items in stock? I mean, they’re hot dogs toppings. Also, don’t trust their site, because half the dogs listed aren’t actually on the menu. I feel like they’re better off putting like 5 core dogs that they know they’ll have and get a dry erase board to put any specials up. Second, the quality of the dog in relation to the price just doesn’t add up for me. I went with the Hawaii Fido(pineapple, red onion, serrano, cilantro, and chiles), Coal Miners Dog(Chili, coleslaw, onions, and mustard), and their Chicago dog. These were some good hot dogs, but were they any better than Dirty Frank’s? Not even and Dirty Franky’s is charging $ 3 for their’s as opposed to $ 3.75, and Dirty Frank’s are higher quality in my opinion. As far as my favorite dog of the 3, I’ll have to go with the Coal Miners Dog, which is a coney dog plus mustard. I really enjoyed that one. The Chicago dog was pretty tasty too, but I think the Hawaii Fido left something to be desired. The toppings were basically made into a slaw, and I feel like the flavors ran together. I didn’t try any fries, but they looked and smelled really good. The guys running the place are very friendly, and they get your food out to you quickly, like within a few minutes of placing your order, which is awesome for lunch. I would definitely come back here in hopes that they have some of their other dog options, but it wouldn’t be my first choice in food trucks unless I was really craving a hot dog.

Just had my first Angry Weiner – The Coal Miner with a side of fries. My lunch buddies and I have noticed they’ve been pulling up and setting shop at one of the buildings in our corporate park on Fridays. Today we trekked over to try. We all ordered and it took about 5 minutes from ordering to receiving. I first noticed that those who just ordered a side of beer battered fries received a whole paper basket of them, versus those who ordered dogs and fries. Your pup had to share the basket, meaning you got less fries but you paid the same price. Despite the smaller portion the beer battered fries were awesome and ketchup and malt vinegar was provided as toppings. The Coal Miner dog was topped with chili, onions, cole slaw and mustard. I added sriracha(cause, well, I put that SH*t on everything!) Although it was quite messy(and the bun was soaked by the slaw juice) and had to be eaten with fork and knife, it was good. Not the best dog I’ve ever had but a nice flavor for a fun lunch on a Friday.(PS. What’s with the knock-off Louis Vuitton insignia. I don’t get it. Am I missing something?)

Sister truck to the Cheesy Truck masterminds leaves more to be desired unfortunately. The one thing I really appreciated about Angry Wiener is how quick they are compared to their sister truck, but it don’t take much to make hot-dogs, you dig? I will admit the walking up to the window, paying, and leaving in less than 30 seconds was great. Their dogs are actually average price for dogs($ 3.75) in the Columbus area unless you’re speaking about dime a dog night at a Clipper’s game. Liz Lessner’s dogs will run around $ 3 – 4 a pop and so will skyline, so where the hell are all you hot-dog connoisseurs grabbing such cheap dogs not from a mediocre food cart? Fill me in. I must harbor this knowledge for future processed hot-dog eats. The so-so and not-so-great… I opted for something less spicy, because my gut was unfortunately not up for that party at the moment, so I ordered the Coalminer’s Dog, which was run on the mill, yet oh-so close to my heart southern hot-dog mostly found in West Virginia, N.C. and other southern places. Slaw, onions, chili, mustard. It proved itself to be A-OK, but it was soggy and messy as hell… I am not going to lie, and now after multiple hand washing attempts I am still detecting the slightest odor of toilette de mustard and onion where the ingredients ended up more in my foil and on my hands than in my mouth. No fries were had during this trip as a nice big black marker listed«Deep fryer broken». What a shame. What an absolute shame… So, I took my dog, can of pop, and left. The unfortunate part is that I’m still really hungry. Perhaps my advice is to try two of a kind on your visit to the Angry Wiener. I like what they’re doing, but over-all. I’ll probably never scramble around town to locate this truck. I’m just not a huge fan. Sorry, Angry Wiener… so-sorry.

First time eating at The Angry Wiener at the Dublin Irish Festival and I want more! Had the Hawaiian dog, with pineapple salsa. Yum-EEE. And, they have veggie dogs! And, they are locally made. Get some vegan cheese and I’ll be totally in love. Can’t wait to run into this food truck again…

Decided to give Angry Wiener a go while at the Dublin Irish Festival & it was a FANTASTIC decision! I had a BLT Dog with the most amazing Sriracha Mayo mixed in. I highly recommend if you enjoy a good hotdog with some flare. Another thing I was super pleased with is that they offer a beef, turkey, and veggie dog option. The staff at this particular cart were SOOO friendly but in the most natural way. Was really just pleased all the way around! :)

This food truck pulled up to my workplace and screamed my name. I walked up to them and the staff was super friendly and more than willing to explain everything on the menu. I eneded up withteh BBQ pulled pork dog wiht fries. SOSOSOSOSOSOGOOD! The pulled pork was just spicy enough, not breathing fire or anything, but just a kick. The dog was roasted to perfection and served on a texas toast style bun. The fries were some of the best I have had, beer battered then seasoned. I don’t think I took a breath while eating. I will stalk Angry Wiener all over town to get another taste!

I had the chili dog with mac and cheese and the BBQ pork and coleslaw hotdog. The coleslaw was warm and too much liquid; it made the bun sticky and doughy. The mac and cheese chili dog was meh. The mac and cheese had very little if any cheese. The chili was tasty though! The fries were AMAZING. Super crunchy and fresh made. They had a delightful crunch and light flavor. I dipped in sriachi ketchup and it was heaven. Good gimmick, decent food. If I had the choice between this and another option, I would opt for something else. $ 11 for two small dogs and fries was a bit much.

Interesting Dog Was looking to try a food truck that I hadn’t tried before at the Food Truck Food Court and the only one was The Angry Wiener. Walked up and gave a look at the menu. Many choices caught my eye, but I decided on the hawaiian fido dog. It did not take long to come out and I was at first disappointed at how small it was(considering it was $ 3.75). Anywho I took a bite and the hawaiian toppings on top of the dog were quite refreshing. Gave that sweet and salty kind of phenomenon with the sweet toppings and salty dog. 3 bites and it was gone. Maybe I’ll upgrade to the bigger dog next time.

Store bought hot dogs with pseudo creative toppings. Their specialty dog was fairly spicy. The cheese on the loaded fries needed to be melted more. Suggestion for improvement: make your own wieners.

I had the Angry Bird while at the Worthington Green this past Saturday. it was a revelation! I haven’t had a hot dog in a year, but this one with the soba noodles and Wasabi May was super. It really hit the spot and has me craving more! Can’t wait to try another one.

I saw these folks list on the food truck listings and I thought I’d give them a try. Today they were on the Village Green in Worthington. They had quite a lot of hot dogs listed but for $ 4.00, I’ve had a lot better. I think that someone told them«buy a truck and print some money.»
