The breakfast sandwich is delicious as are the crepes. I know others have commented on it, but the corn cookies are to die for and I don’t even like corn. It’s like corn bread and a sugar cookie morphed together, but better! The atmosphere is great and the staff is always awesome.

Almost overly friendly service(not a bad thing). The food is pretty tasty, familiar yet unique. A little pricey but worth it. Kale Caesar; Fresh and rich with zesty, crunchy croutons and savory cheese. Spicy baked chickpeas; spicy, salty, crunchy what’s not to love. Shrub Fruit Soda(peach); nice fruit flavor, not too vinegary Sweet corn cookie; raved about, rightly so, a near perfect cookie.

Acre is just OK. I’ve been a few times, and I always leave underwhelmed. Upside: It’s always hot and fast, plus it’s relatively reasonable for the portion sizes and quality ingredients. Lovely décor, plates, silverware, etc. Friendly staff. Wide range of dietary options represented on menu. Downside: Bland bland bland. Everything needs more salt, fresh herbs, spices, and textural complexity. If I order curry, mole, or tabbouleh I want them to be bold and authentic.

Three words: sweet corn cookie. Mmmmm. I visited Acre with my wife and one year old. First let me say, they were very nice and accommodating to our one year old, which we appreciated. Also, it was impeccably clean and organized. For our meals, we both chose sandwiches, I had the Sharacha pulled pork and my wife a chicken sandwich(our one year old had a quesadilla), both came with a side of chips and salsa. Everything was very fresh however, as far as taste, the sandwiches were just ok, not bad, but not something I’ll order again. I’d be willing to give Acre another shot because I’m curious about the tacos and burritos, which have a more prominent place on the menu and have been mentioned by other Unilocalers. The good: kid friendly, clean, fresh and corn cookies. The bad: sandwiches tasted ok not great, pricey.

I really love what they are doing here. Nothing over the top just a really solid menu. I like how they switch up the menu consistently, and use as many locally sourced items as they can.

The food was ok. I expected more to be honest. I got the Thai bowl. It felt like the portion was not enough for what I paid for. The food was fresh but nothing special. Will try them one more time

So fresh! Highly recommended. I’ve dined here twice now and have no complaints. Friendly service, menu has just enough options so quick choices can be made. Not too many, not too few. The food is well prepared and full of flavor. I’ve had a salad and a Mole Bowl with pork. Both were delicious. Prices are very reasonable as well. If you’re a healthy eater like I am, you’ll definitely enjoy Acre.

I had wanted to try this place for some time so I was excited to get over there. It was good, but didn’t meet my expectations. Perhaps my expectations were too high, as it is more in the fast food category than any other(don’t try and compare it to north star). It even has a drive thru! I really enjoyed the Bbq chicken bowl I got. Very tasty. The spicy chickpeas I got on the side were only so so. I would skip those. I want to give it another try! I am open to the concept of fast FRESH food.

Saw this place while driving up High St looking for a Starbucks. Seating is a mixture of rustic and hipster. Good for singles, couples, and larger groups. As for the food, I’m not a fan of broccoli, so I’m glad the lady taking my order talked me out of the Shanghai bowl, even with trying to replace the broccoli with another veggie. I ended up getting chicken tacos, two Baja and one Thai. It all tasted really fresh, but I was underwhelmed with the portion size. The soft shells could/should so much more than what was given. Basically a few chunks of chicken, a slab of salsa, and some green onions and cheese. Had good taste, just wanted more. Will definitely come back in and try some of their other dishes, as I like the atmosphere, the people are friendly, and I like how fresh the food tasted.

The problem I have with Acre is that this is one of those restaurants with food that is so simple that I can’t justify going out and paying for it instead of making it myself at home. When I go out to eat, I do it less for the convenience and more for a unique experience. Unfortunately, Acre didn’t really live up to what I wanted. I do like the food – it tastes great and I really appreciate the concept of fresh, local food to go. Acre has a sleek, casual atmosphere, and the building is an aesthetically nice addition to High St. I can see this being a great option for busy people who want to eat quality, simple food while on the go.

I seem to forget about this place. Some weird form of cognitive dissonance, because it’s a great lunch place. Their seasonal specials are always my fave, their soups and salads, omgod I have dreams about them. I love a mean butternut squash soup and they kill it vegetarian-ly. They always have a unique salad on special. Over the summer they had this corn, tomato, blue cheese, croûton, light vinaigrette salad… summer why did you leave too soon and take this delicious salad with you.

Love the ambiance here! Lots of light and space, and it’s perfect for catching up with friends. The menu has lots of different bowls of rice and veggies — my favorite. Food quality is pretty good, though not amazing. The cashier and other staff were super friendly and nice, which made the experience even more pleasant.

After months of everyone raving about this place, I finally had the opportunity to try it. I love the concept, and the décor was great. There was plenty of parking available too. My girlfriend and I went in here one night and I have to say that not only was I pretty«eh» on the food, but the pricing just sticker shocked me! For the two of us to eat and each have a drink, plus one appetizer, I spent over $ 30! Just not what I had in mind for a place that I consider to be a step above fast food. And the actual meals themselves didn’t feel that expensive, but by the time you add in the other things, that’s when it jumps up to bite you. I’m not saying I would never go back, but it’s certainly not something that I’ll go out of my way to get again.

Fast, nicely priced, healthy, largely locally sourced, tastes great, veg-friendly, and has enough menu options to keep anyone busy for a while? What’s not to like! I’m in love with the wraps in particular and alternate between the moo shu and Thai styles with tofu. When there’s a special on the menu board that works with my eating habits, I’ll often try that. One memorable one was a salad with, I believe, sweet potato in the late summer/early fall. And the special board options always sound great. I’m a big fan of their ginger sodas — both the pom one and the pomless one(or ginger spritzer, as it’s called on the menu!) — and the only thing wrong with the banana smoothie was that it was too small. I haven’t delved into their sides yet; a main dish is always plenty filling. But believe me, I’ll get to them! I have been pleased both eating in and taking out here. It’s got that Trendy New Place sheen that makes the employees’ flannel theme run more hipster than farmer, but it doesn’t take away from the warmth of the atmosphere and certainly not from the taste and freshness of the food.

I want to like Acre so much more than I do. you have such a good idea but lack the follow through. Your food was lacking in flavor and the stack of 6 corn chips on the side of my wrap was borderline offensive. Really 6 chips? I mean you did stack them all pretty like but I am not a 6 year old. Food like yours is why people refuse to patron«healthier option» establishments. Salt even! just something to add some flavor to your food.

I had been wanting to try this place for a while ever since I heard of it. I saw a review written up for it in the Columbus Underground so I thought maybe I should really pay this place a visit with my friends. The place is nice for meeting with your friends or family for a quick casual meal. When you arrive inside there is CBUS love all over as you walk in. You can also easily spot the menu to browse over. The choices are all healthy options like protein bowls with rice and veggies, wraps, salads and tacos. Then you can add sides like roasted sweet potatoes or a sweet corn cookie. As for a drink options you can get a fountain drink, iced chai tea, kombucha, and smoothies. I tried the BBQ Chicken Bowl. I think the sauce threw me off a little bit because it tasted like BBQ sauce mixed with apple butter. Mixed with the veggies and brown rice inside. I also got the mixed berry smoothie and that was okay, I really could taste the apple juice in that. I also tried my friends sweet corn cookie and man was that the bomb. The flavor was so sweet and corny. The cookie was literally bigger than my palm. Then I tried my friends iced chai tea and I actually really liked how that tasted. I rarely drink my chai tea’s with ice. In all, I’m happy I came here and actually got to try it and check it off my list of places to try. If you want a health conscious place I would recommend trying it to see how you like it.

I’ve had this place bookmark since hearing about its plans of conception. I was thrilled to finally make it here for dinner with some great Unilocal friends! This place has some great positives. The casual atmosphere makes it a great place to converse. Also, healthy options to choose from. The price point isn’t bad — about what is expected for the menu and area/location. I tried a small Buttermilk Ranch side salad, the Thai burrito, a sweet corn cookie and their Iced Chai. To start, I thought the chai could have used a bit more flavor. But, hey, I respect the fact that this place is trying to do the healthy/no extra additives thing. So not a big deal. Just an fyi for myself. On to the burrito. Good. Outstanding, makes a lasting memory good? Not quite that far. I enjoyed tasting all the components. The amount of sauce did not over bare the concoction. Here, you order your food at the counter, come get it when they call your #. Personally, it would have been even more awesome if they brought my tray of yummies out. But in hind sight, a minor peeve. Overall, this was a perfectly good meal. Just… I don’t think this has left that much of an impression to make me notice this joint, and stop in, when I this part of town.

Acre is a great spot for a quick, healthy lunch or dinner. Clintonville is my new neighborhood so I was excited when Acre opened close to my house! I’ve had the tacos, wraps and bowls. My experiences with the food and staff have always been positive. The chicken mole tacos are my favorite. $ 8 for three tacos and a side of chips & salsa. Acre is really affordable for the quality of food you are getting. I’ve had a few wraps and the tikka bowl special. I loved the tikka bowl and hope it stays on the menu! I have had a few of the drinks that are offered. I thought the drinks were overpriced for the size. The ginger spritzer wasn’t very good. However, I usually get my meal to-go and drink a beverage from home. Definitely end your meal with a sweet corn cookie. The cookies are pretty large and perfectly baked. Crispy edges and a soft center — the way a cookie should be.

The best way to describe this place is an off-brand North Star with a twist. Most of the ingredients are locally sourced and they do have some different menu options which is nice. Lots of vegan/vegetarian/gluten free options too! I had a Thai chicken bowl which had just the right amount of spice, and the Thai peanut sauce was delicious. The veggies were all fresh as well, especially the curried cauliflower which was different but surprisingly awesome! We didn’t get a chance to try dessert, but I have heard great things about their cookies! One warning is that the seating area is very small and you may have to wait for a table. And since they have counter service, you may end up standing around with your food before you can get a seat. But other than that, I think this place is here to stay! It was a great addition to the area.

Stopped here for a quick lunch on the way to the airport. It’s very casual dining in that you walk in, place your order and find a seat. Then when your order is ready you retrieve it from the counter. I ordered the 3 Thai chicken tacos and the sweet corn cookie. I am fairly unfamiliar with the Farm to Table concept as it’s not something that seems to have caught on in Las Vegas to the degree that it has here. I enjoyed tasting my food without it being covered in a lot of sauces and seasonings. Everything looked and tasted clean. Even the chips that accompanied the tacos had a nice corn taste and were not greasy at all and didn’t shatter when you bit into them. I’m glad the sweet corn cookie was recommended to me. It was the perfect blend of sugar cookie with a hint of corn. I wish I had ordered one to go. This is definitely a place I would revisit next time I am in Columbus. I am knocking one star because for as busy as this place is someone should be at least bussing the tables. As a customer I am doing everything else, which I don’t mind, but stalking a table because it’s crowded and then it being not wiped down is not cool. And just based on the size of Acre I would avoid traditional busy times for that reason.
