June 30, 2014 The screen on my Galaxy S4 went black so I couldn’t use it. I went into the store and asked if there was a way that I could buy a phone that didn’t cost $ 300 plus to use for the remainder of my contract. I also asked if I could do an early upgrade since I’m do for an upgrade in November and I’m a longtime customer. The clerk came back and told me that the manager said I could upgrade my second line, but I could ONLY get an iPhone… I had/have no interest in owning an iPhone. I asked if there way any other, preferably droid, phone I could get. I was told no. I explained that I was leaving town the next day and I needed a replacement phone because the temporary Incredible 2 I was using doesn’t have a working charge port and I would be getting on the road to drive to Ohio later that day. NO! I left the store. With 14% battery power remaining and 4.5 hours of drive time on my trip, I called the Verizon 800 number later that evening and asked that guy, Chad, the same questions I’d asked at the store earlier. He told me that there were two phones I could buy outright, the LG Lancet($ 120) and the Samsung Galaxy Core Prime($ 167). he then called the stores in Ohio to see which had the phones available. After locating the phone for me, he asked the store to hold it until I arrived in Ohio the following day. The manager of the store could have done the very same thing that the phone operator did, but she didn’t. It saved me quite a bit of money, especially since I was prepared to spend at least $ 250 and buy a Samsung Galaxy from eBay or Amazon.

Had a pleasant experience here, when I made the choice to switch cell phone services. What brought me into Verizon was the 2 for 1 deal on the new Samsung Galaxy 5. The sales associate helping me «Daniel» was patient, and diligent. As a new implant here in Columbia, there was an issue of my residency. Unlike other times, I was patient because it took me some time to provide the info needed to be approved for an account with Verizon. It was also an added bonus that as an Amazon employee I was offered an 20% discount on my bill, 25% on accessories, and the waived activation fees. So far so good. I am looking at a $ 70 bill per line. I’m pleased with the service provided by Daniel and service of Verizon. Thanks
