This place had been around forever! An staple in Irmo. No fru fru dishes here. I recommend the pimento cheese burger. The pimento cheese just oozes off the burgers. Grab you a hand full of napkins cause this burger is messy! Delish! The ham salad is also very good too. I just eat it out of the cup. Go here if you want some good ol greasy burgers, sandwiches, soups, veggies. .etc. the staff is very nice. Support your local restaurant.

I love Mathias! Great local place, best bacon cheeseburger! And it’s under $ 5. My only wish is that they’d stay open just a little later in the evenings. The sandwich trays are great for taking to events, tailgates, showers.

This place needs more work if it is going to survive. The sandwiches I make at home are better then this place. The people are nice though but some nice people don’t need to be in the kitchen. Nice to hang out but not to eat.

Awesome neighborhood deli. I had the pimento burger, and my husband had the turkey club. Both were good. My fries were awesome. Definitely no pre-​fab fries served here. I wish there was a Mathias in lexington, as it is quite a challenge to get there as often as I’d like.

I have no idea why people eat here. I can make a better sandwich at home. Ordered a BLT and it was served on plain sliced white bread with burnt bacon. How hard is it to make a BLT? I’ve been one other time for breakfast and it was awful. Not going back.

I have been coming here since I was a kid. Mathia’s is Irmo ’ true institution and I have s feeling it will be for a b long time to come. The owners are amazing. The deli salads are great, cold sandwiches are amazing, grill items just as good. They cater to any size event and do so in a perfect manor. Their weekly buffets are always an amazing deal. It is Irmo ’ perfect lunch spot. –Ryan C.

If you want a good local restaurant, here it is. Typical «diner» type atmosphere. They have a small breakfast buffet, but has all of the necessities. «cheers» type atmosphere.
