I typically love Lord & Taylor stores, but today I experienced the worst customer service. The workers were gossiping behind the counter regardless of the fact that I was in front of them, ready to check out. In addition, they were extremely condescending and snobby. How this place is still in business with workers like these is beyond me. Never shopping again, back to Nordstrom and Macy’s I go.

This store can be a bit expensive, but they have a large selection of clothing and the store itself is very spacious and clean. Staff is friendly and helpful. I used to always shop here for prom dresses when i was in high school they have a huge selection and often the prices are discounted or on sale.

I was looking to get a sport coat for the winter season, but I was afraid that Lord and Taylor would be too expensive. I was wrong! They have great sales and a good selection of men’s clothing. The clearance prices were good and the products were great. After using a coupon, I walked away with two Ralph Lauren sport coats, each for under $ 50. In all, I got a better deal than I would have gotten in a discount store. I highly recommend this store because they have excellent prices and helpful employees.

Lord and Taylor has the best plus size department of all the department stores. It’s mostly career clothes: Tahari suits, separates from Allison Taylor, Nine West, Michael Kors, Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, Jones NY. Colmbia mall’s Lord and Taylor has more office clothes while the White Flint store has a larger selection of plus sized winter coats and sweaters. The Columbia store seems more upscale and spacious. Both have good sales. Check the website for coupons that you can print and bring with you.

I found the cutest pair of boots here. In an attempt to make up for my disappointment at other stores at the Columbia Mall, I went to Lord and Taylor. Their shoe department is always very hit or miss (often catering to a slightly older crowd), but I found a pair of Jessica Simpson boots here that were fabulous. And a pretty good deal, too (any pair of boots under $ 100 is pretty decent). And comfortable (her line of shoes generally is).
The sales person was incredibly nice and helpful, the shoes were great (and in my size!), the store was neat and well organized. Everything I’m looking for!
