The Al Pastor … succulent with chunks of pineapple. Definitely will hit this place whenever I get that Taco Craving. This place is as hole in the wall as you can get, so don’t expect fancy pants service or dining area. They have some tables set up where you can sit if you’d like, but the food is located at the back of the market. ~ Happy Eats ~

The grill in the rear of the grocery has ordered items and a hot bar, quite a variety. I ordered a steak burrito, 7.99, and it was quite good with many chunks of beef The grill staff is friendly. There is seating for about a dozen counting all three tables.

Food was good as I ordered the combination fajitas. Not sure where it started of only giving three tortillas per order of fajitas but this place broke from the norm. I had more than enough fajitas to finish all that was given and even some left over. Maybe this combination platter of steak, chicken, and shrimp was made for more than one but hey I am not ashamed to say I put it down. The kitchen is in the back with a few places to sit and eat if you choose. While waiting I decided to do some shopping and picked up some hard to find Mexican sour cream. If you are looking for hard to find products this place has a good selection from Central and South America. Back to the food. The carne asada was cooked very nicely as much of the food is cooked as ordered despite the food such as rice and beans sitting in warmers. For the price it is a very good deal and the food is fresh and full of flavor.

I had the Carne asada. Meat was tough. Difficult to chew. I just gave up… Rice… eh, ok. Tortillas were homemade and you could see them making them. Not impressed. Unilocal let me down.

Drove around the parking lots around this area listening to my GPS for at least 20 minutes. I finally gave up. Can I get a big sign telling me where you are located???

I really enjoyed my three tacos I asked for one of each(carne asada, chicken & shredded beef). The girl who took my order didn’t understand at first, but by pointing at the items on the menu we were able to communicate enough to get what I wanted. It looks like they make their own tortillas & you can purchase fresh ones which are kept in the back. I think if you speak Spanish you will have no problem, but if you are like me and know very little just pick up the menu & point. The food is in the back of the store & they do have some tables, but I would plan on taking it to go. I can’t wait to try other items on the menu. The food defiantly reminds me of home in So Cal, but with a language barrier.

5 start tortillas. Made fresh, hourly it seems. They are great. The tacos were also excellent.

Come here for all your Latin cocina needs. This is my favorite place to get fresh corn tortillas — made fresh daily. Very authentic grilled corn flavor. Oh, and cheap! Only couple bucks for the real deal tortillas.(and so much better quality than any of that crap in your standard grocery store). Where else can you get banana leaves, pupusas, fresh aloe leaves and bulk jalapeños? This is the place to find those less common in the U.S. foods. I admit, I have never partaken of the«restaurant part» of the store, but it always looks and smells delicious. I will definitely be trying the eats soon. Not sure I’ve ever heard anyone here speak English, but everyone is so friendly, I imagine they wouldn’t mind if you don’t speak Spanish! Good prices, great products and friendly staff makes earns my top recommendation!

I can’t say much about the tacos, since I didn’t order them, but I was a big fan of the pupusas. The outside was nice and crispy and the inside had plenty of carnitas filling. I also got a torta, which was enormous. Portions seem pretty generous and my friend and I were both very satisfied by the meal. I’m definitely going to come back and try more items. I didn’t explore too much of the market portion, but I did see that they have some awesome Mexican candy, like the mango covered in chili and all the other candies I remember having as a kid in California. My friend was also really excited to spot some drinks that he had in Peru. At least now I know where to go if I’m in need of any authentic Mexican/Hispanic foods. Seating is limited. There are about 2 folding tables, but only one that’s really open for public seating. It might be best to order food to go and eat elsewhere.

Small restaurant in the back of the market where you can either take it to go or grab a seat at one of the few tables they have available. Speaking Spanish isn’t a must, I just do the«say what I want while pointing at the item» method! Works every time! But yes, English isn’t gonna get you far in this place. Onto the food — the carne asada platter is delicious! Flavorful, tender pieces of flank steak with rice, beans, pico, and hot sauce. Mmmmmmm, getting hungry thinking about it. It’s great, just get it. Oh and it comes with a ton of tortillas if you’re into them. I myself only need 1, they give you like 6! The chicken tamales are fantastic! Super flavorful! Make sure to grab one to try! And at 2 bucks, that’s a steal! Oh and their chicharrons are DELISH! Deep fried pork belly!?! What’s not to love? Grab some of that as well!

This is an actual little Mexican grocery store with a café in the back. They are mostly Spanish speaking, so come prepared to use basic English or practice your Spanish. The menu is in both English and Spanish, but if you’re really struggling, just point to the thing you want, wave your credit card if you aren’t paying cash, and the cashier will give you an order slip, which you need to take to the front and pay, then bring back the stamped slip to collect your food. Business aside, let’s eat! The portions are perfect(and for me, extremely filling). The tacos are 3 soft tacos filled with deliciousness. I got the platter of chicharron(fried pork skin/fat) and it also came with a stack of like 8 tortillas. The rice is fluffy, the beans are not too soggy, and the salsa is perfect. My friend ordered the burrito and it is literally twice the thickness of a Chipotle burrito. She took half home for dinner. The café venue is really small, really only eight people can sit, but it wasn’t too busy when I got there weekday at noon, so there was plenty of space for us. Anyway, I left happy and full and I would like to shop here for some interesting Mexican imported goods if it was closer to my home.

This market is a hybrid of a bodega and a small supermarket, and they also have a hot foods station in the back with a great menu! My friends and I had lunch here today and we all loved our food. I got a chicken burrito, which was huge — it was much bigger than Chipotle and was basically the size of a small baby. The rice was so fluffy and the chunks of chicken were huge. My friend’s beef tongue tacos were tender and delicious, and the chicharron(fried pork rinds) were so crunchy while the meat was soft. There isn’t much seating since it’s a supermarket and not a restaurant, but there are 2 small tables we ate at.

The food is really good, and super authentic. So authentic that I had to break out my high school spanish to make my order. The beef tongue tacos are yummy, as is the pork belly. The burritos are the size of a newborn. Everything is well worth the money. The store is a little small. but there is space for 8 people to sit and eat in the store. The reason I lobbed off a star was because the food is heavy, and there was a bit of a language barrier. But it was still worth it.

I have been searching for good, real Mexican food and have not found it yet. This I have to say was the closest. I ordered the carnitas taco platter which came with 2 tacos, rice and beans. The rice was the best part although it didn’t taste like Mexican rice it was really good, I didn’t like the fact that they only had black beans but they were alright, and as for the tacos they put lots of meat which was nice but I did find hard chunks in the meat. I also got a chicken burrito it was pretty good but again there was black beans in it, if I ever go back i would probably just get the burrito with no beans and a big side of rice. Also, the market part has all the Mexican food ingredients you could think of, and the part that I liked the most was they have Mexican candy which I have been SEARCHING for!

I got three tacos: al pastor, de lengua(beef tounge), and puerco de verde(roasted pork in green tomatillo sauce). They were basically tortillas with the meat inside and topped with cilantro, onion, and pico de gallo. The de lengua was surprisingly awesome. It was a slightly chewy subtle meaty taste. It was pretty tender for a muscle that gets a lot of use over the life of a cow. The puerco de verde was very well seasoned. The cilantro and onion kept everything fresh and ready for more. But by the time I got to the tacos al pastor, everything just felt heavy, which was kind of a let down. For the menu, go here

Came in specifically looking for a dried chile so I could make enchiladas that I had been craving for some time. The place is hard to find if you’re not familiar with the area and the people that work there do not speak English very well. The place is tiny and a bit crowded to walk through without having to move aside for others to get through. I were out of the dried chiles I so wanted but what I did find were a handful of Peruvian ingredients that I had wondered where to find them so that was a pleasant surprise. Don’t come here to get stuff like Mexican chorizo or Mexican cheeses because they mark them up about 500% and you can easily find then at a Super Walmart for its normal going rate. I will still come here for those unusual Latin ingredients.

Finally ventured over to the market after leaving Blockbuster Video one day. Man, was I mad when I saw I could’ve been buying my favorite Spanish products like the Arnica lotion I buy in Orlando(clears up all kind of rashes and irritations; heals cuts FAST) and the Dominican shampoo and conditioner, Crece Pelo, right here all along. And, of course, it’s cheaper at Lily’s than the price I pay at the salon. As far as food goes, this place is packed to the hilt with all the favorite Spanish brands, if you know about that stuff. If not, be prepared to search the shelves and try to communicate with the barely-English speaking cashier for help. It wasn’t a problem for me because I love the feel of a bodega-style grocery store. Found some good deals like a GIANT bottle of Goya picante sauce for $ 1.99. Lots of breads, fresh meat and cool herbs, spices to add to my Spanish dishes. Thank God my Puerto Rican mother-in-law took the time to show me how to make this kind of food before she passed on. And if I may compliment myself, I make a pretty authentic version of Pollo Guisado!

My brother loves this place. Always spoke to me about how great the beef tongue tacos were… I love beef tongue. I love Mexican food. Its nearby. Lets try it out! Went straight to the back and ordered the 3 taco meal. All beef tongue(Bad choice) and my sister got the half chicken that was sitting under a hot lamp. We kinda knew the chicken wasnt going to be as great as it looked, but she got it anyways. When I got my meal, I immediately tried to pick a taco up and everything just went through the taco, onto the plate. Home made tacos which were great but the guy that put the beef tongue in them put alot of the juice on it too. Which made the tacos too soft for the rest of the toppings. The tacos literally fell apart. I had to eat everything with a fork. And as for the beef tongue it self? It was pretty good. As for my sister’s half chicken… She said some parts were OK. I tried a piece and it was like chewing tree bark. I tasted the flavor, it tasted like chicken. But the texture was bad. It was tougher than the most toughest beef jerky you’ve ever had! It was stringy and dry, tough and almost inedible… We kinda had a feeling it was going to be like that. But still… It looked so good! =/ Bad experience for us that time. But im still going to give it 4 stars because my brother doesn’t lie. Yeah call me biased, so what!

3.5 stars. The carne asada was made fresh to order, and the fixing of cilantro, pico de gallo and salsa verde sauce were solid(see pic). HOWEVER, despite the carne asada being fresh and tender, the meat was lacking the strong steak flavor, traditional seasoning and salt. Also it was fried not grilled thus char-flavor. Vani P’s review was on point: for Vegetarians, there are NO good options or choices. Minus a half-star for that. We had to go to R & R so my GF could get her Mexican-food fix. I was impressed by the market – a decent selection and the cilantro was super fresh(unlike many supermarkets).
