We travel I-77 frequently so when looking for a gas station I didn’t realize we had stopped here before. Last time was during daylight hours and in our RV. This time was at night and in our car. First, this is not an RV friendly fuel station. Unless you are dangerously low on gas, wait. The turn around room for big rigs(gas and diesel at the same pump), especially if you are towing behind are going to be complicated. The interior store itself is extremely small and the price markups on their drinks/food are extremely high. Their gas prices were $ 0.20 higher than what we saw a few exits up. The biggest complaint is the restrooms. As I said, this time we arrived at night. I had to use the restroom after not stopping for hours. So I go inside and find they are exterior restrooms… OK…I get the key. I am female so men might not find this uncomfortable. I understand it is a small store so having exterior restrooms is something you have to live with I suppose. However, their restrooms are NOT facing the gas pump side where all of the customers are filling their cars. Their restrooms are on the rear facing side near the dumpster and the grassy hill that separates it from the next door fast food restaurant. I was hesitant but necessity prevailed. The restrooms were semi-clean I suppose. Upon exiting my worst fears were confirmed when I went outside and saw a man walking over the knoll from the neighboring restaurant. I quickly scurried around the corner to safety. Again, men might not have the same worries but female customers would be uncomfortable. All in all, over-priced gas and products and lack of safe restroom options.
