Wingate By Wyndham

No thermostat in the room so I listened to a fan blowing all night. But that drowned out the traffic noise. Not to mention the TRAIN behind the hotel and the people in the hall. There’s no fan in the bathroom so you shower and can’t use the mirror. There’s no toilet paper holder in the bathroom – paper just sits on a railing. The bed is painful. Two of us are staying in two different rooms, so I can tell you – the musty smell is pervasive. On the up side, the staff was very nice. It’s overpriced for what it is but at least I know to steer clear of Wingate.

If you were ever wondering if you should stay at this hotel you won’t be sorry.. I have stayed at Wingate for a few years nit and they are affordable and always clean.. My biggest request is clean!
I have never been sorry!

We stayed here for the graduation of a family member from Ft. Jackson. I recommend it to anyone who wants to be near the fort.
It was clean, quite, comfortable and had a very good free breakfast.

Clean rooms with free breakfast… Their waffle batter has been awesome. The waffles tasted as good as the ones at the Waffle House. You also have a good selection of cereals, fruits, and yoghurts.
It was easy and free to park on their private parking.

I got the king jacuzzi suite at a great price compared to others online, the inside of the hotel is lovely, receptionist was very helpful and kind in booking us, the room for a suite was kinda small I’ve stayed in bigger actual one bedroom suites with huge jacuzzis but none the less the room was is very clean, nice décor huge comfy king bed lots of pillows marble countertops I really have no complaint other then the size for a so called jacuzzi suite the size is comparable to a regular king/​sofa room any where else, the breakfast in the lobby was great pool was decent as well! Definitely a return hotel on my list

«As we Expected»
Exactly as we expected it to be. We stayed here due to a sports event and wanted to stay with the team. Average accommodations… but again, we got what we paid for and what we expected. The breakfast area was demolished and never refreshed or tidied up. There are lots of chain restaurants and stores nearby, but we ventured towards the nicer end of Two Notch Rd towards Clemson Blvd for some finer places. Try the Solstice Kitchen and Wine Bar! A great local find.
BEWARE of their cancellation policy… know what your booking means!

After finding a great deal/​non-​refundable deal via Orbitz, I booked this hotel to attend my sisters graduation from Fort Jackson, which was supposed to be this week, however 2wks before her graduation she got injured and is recovering, currently unable to graduate. Her graduation date is pending her recovery. I contacted Orbitz who told me that I cannot get a refund (which I understand) however said the Hotel would not allow me to put my reservation on hold. Obviously, my sister will graduate, we just don’t know when. I contacted the hotel left a message for the manager and have not even been gifted the dignity of a response.
SO, if you are looking to stay here for your Soldier’s graduation, DONT! God forbid something unexpected as your soldier gets injured delays your stay, they obviously don’t care.
It’s a shame that our soldiers are so ready to serve their country when obviously, some of us in this country (Wingate by Wyndham) are not ready to do the same for their soldier.

I like to write my reviews as simply as possible so that readers can get to the point.
Con’s: Bed was a bit too firm for my husband (he prefers a medium to soft mattress).
Pro’s: 10 Minutes to Fort Jackson. GREAT breakfast! Clean rooms, granite counter tops on everything. The rooms were clean, well appointed with little homey features to include a microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker and the usual hotel amenities. I did think it was quite nice to have makeup remover towelettes in the bathroom. Very nice and accommodating staff and a nice late check out.

Stayed here on our way home from Florida. The place was really nice, the room was very clean, high def flat screen t.v. In the room. All the staff we dealt with were all very nice an helpful… had good continental breakfast in the morning, all in all very nice place to stay!

I stayed here one night while visiting my brother at Fort Jackson, the other two nights I was at Super8, so this was quite a step up.
The continental breakfast was great, waffles, bagels, biscuits and gravy, plus the usual fare. Rooms were large and clean.
My only complaints was that HBO didn’t come in on the tv and the noise level from doors slamming. The room doors have strong springs and unless closed by hand, they slam shut and echo in the halls. A bus load of guests arrived at 9:30pm on my floor and spent the next hour going in and out.

This place is also known as the Wingate by Wyndham… and my in-​laws and I stayed here during our visit to Fort Jackson.
Staying here was pretty relaxing. The rooms are decently sized and they provide Neutrogena products, as well as various other amenities. The breakfast selection was nice, since it was MUCH more than just a continental breakfast — but I was never that hungry — so I didn’t quite take advantage of that. Aside from that, the staff was accommodating and kind, and the wifi provided was consistent.
It was also within walking distance of Texas Roadhouse, which was AWESOME — because after having a huge meal there — we really needed somewhere to crash.
My biggest complaint would have to be that after coming into my room — which had been turned down — there were no pillow cases to be found… o_​O?
Also, I wish they separated smoking and non-​smoking rooms by floor, because although I requested a non-​smoking room, getting to it through the halls was always an unpleasant task to be done… :(
