Great beer selection. Menu has traditional English pub items plus items with their own twist. The Korean fries are really good. All the sandwiches are great. The house made chips are amazing. They are also very kid friendly, even made Shirley temples for the kids. Service is always great and even when they are busy, the kitchen is quick with food. Prices are reasonable for quality and quantity of food, this is often hard to find in Columbia.

This place is our favorite restaurant in Columbia. We’ve eaten here twice and both times were phenomenal. The beer selection is incredible(we don’t get a lot of these beers in Springfield). The servers are extremely knowledgeable about the food and the beer selection, which is nice. The beers on tap all have a 5 oz. pour option which is nice when you want to pair a different beer with an appetizer, entrée and dessert. First time we went we had the cheese pub fritters with the mustard porter sauce. Super yummy. My entrée was a butternut squash and apple sandwich with goat cheese and apple cider vinaigrette with a side of Brussels sprouts & bacon. The fiancé had a burger with a fried egg and the colcannon on the side. Colcannon is my favorite thing on the menu. And we had a dessert which I’m pretty sure was bread pudding. We left extremely happy and full. The second time we came we ordered the Welsh rarebit for the appetizer. The fiancé had the lamb sausage with goat cheese polenta, fried egg and sautéed baby kale and a red pepper Harissa sauce. I had a roasted pear, goat cheese, walnut, arugula onion sandwich with the colcannon. For dessert we did the flourless chocolate stout cake with a chocolate sauce, berry compote and Chantilly cream. We were extremely pleased last night as well. This place can do no wrong in my eyes. Incredible food/beer, atmosphere and service. You’re missing out if you haven’t been here! Met some friends here for the dinner. It was my husbands and I first time here and we were both impressed. The food was very good and great portion sizes. The prices are reasonable. The lamb sliders and salmon were great! The staff was friendly and attentive. They have a wide selection of beers and whiskeys to pick from. beer and whiskey lovers this place is for you! We will come back here again when we are in the area

Service was terrible… birthday dinner… go figure Asked for extra dressing for my salad, still waiting. Ordered the most expensive steak on the menu and received the most disappointing meal. It was cold. I ate at White Castle yester day and received better service and food. Very disappointed.

The food was great but the service was not. Me and my family went there for my husbands birthday and his steak was cold.

I personally LOVE the food here, haven’t had a bad dish yet. My coworkers hate it because it’s «too pricey» but they complain about any beer over $ 2.50, this isn’t a typical college bar. Thank you for that! The beer selection is outstanding! I recommend going here for lunch, much less crowded and I never had to wait for a table at lunch time.

Went here for my birthday dinner and ordered the pork belly sandwich. I loved all of the components of the sandwich but there was an excessive amount of sriracha aioli, when I tried to scrape some off there was probably 1⁄3 of a cup on my plate if not more. I ended up not even eating most of the sandwich because the only thing I could taste was the sauce. I really liked the sauce but don’t see any benefit in drounding the sandwich in it. Oh and there was so much on both pieces of the bread even after scraped it off that if you poked the bread it would ooze out more sriracha aioli. When I told the waitress she informed me that many people have had the some complaint about hat specific sandwich but that the kitchen continues to prepare the sandwich in the same fashion despite her relaying that information. The buttermilk mashed potatoes on the side were delicious but I’m not happy that the sandwich I barely ate was not taken off the ticket. That being said, the atmosphere is nice, and the two meals my parents ordered, steak and the half chicken, were both delicious.

Nothing really stands out. Maybe everything would have been better with beer. They looked like they had a really nice selection but no one was in a beer drinking mood. I’m from out of town. Came in with family that had heard good things about this restaurant but all anyone could say was Meh… Sorry, probably won’t go back.

44 Stone is one of this restaurants where you can feel comfortable trying something new because they do everything well. I have yet to try a dish I don’t like. The pork belly sandwich is my favorite, and the Seoul Disco Fries are a must as an appetizer. Last time there, I tried the Z.L.T. sandwich and loved it. In addition to the food, they have a great selection of wine, beer and cocktails. The servers definitely know their stuff. All around a great experience every time.

The amount of drinks they have in stock is outstanding. The knowledge the servers and bartenders have on all of the drinks and food as well is top notch. This has easily become my go-to place for dinner with friends and family.

Nice atmosphere, very roomy. Not a lot of healthy choices on the menu. Salads didn’t sound appealing(wedge, kale…). Tried the tandoori chicken with pita. Just ok. Not a lot of flavor. Fries were soggy and greasy. Cheeseburger on pretzel bun was big and had a nice flavor. Friendly service. Just not really worth trying again. Kind of a snore.

Sought this place out for an afternoon snack & cocktail. Things started out a bit rocky… hostess nearly ran us over when we walked in. We stood around looking for someone, anyone to seat us. Finally a guy from the kitchen came out and sent someone over. It was a lovely day, so we sat outside. The draft beers are listed on a chalk board inside. They evidently change often so, they don’t have the menu to handout. And, the waitress directed us to their web site that has a web cam with the drafts. Cool little feature. I had the Pimm’s Cup– super tasty and a wonderful cocktail for a sunny afternoon. My hubby had a few samplers of drafts. His fav was the Stone Urban Ale. We had the Ploughman’s Lunch, a charcuterie plate. It was yummy.

My girlfriend and I went here for brunch after leaving Café Berlin because of the 45 minute wait. Boy am I happy we did. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and I loved that they had a huge beer and whiskey selection. Our server was pleasant and brought us waters right away. We ordered a couple of $ 3 sunrise mimosas. Can’t have brunch without a mimosa or Mary, right? I ordered the eggs Benedict, and she ordered the English breakfast. Both were so flavorful and amazing. Very nice sized portions. I loved the peppery arugula with the rich yolks. Delicious. Even the English muffins had great buttery/grilled flavor, and didn’t just serve as a vehicle for the eggs. The potatoes were roasted perfectly and were very tasty. Will definitely be coming back for dinner.

This place has fast become my go to spot for lunch whenever I’m visiting Columbia. The 44 Stone burger is my main fare and it never hurts to start with some Korean disco fries! There are always awesome beers on tap but you’ll have to walk up to the bar to see what they’ve got — there is no beer list. There is also an extensive list of cans of bottles if you prefer that. I have never been here for dinner so I don’t know how crowded it is, but unlike other brewpubs in the city it is actually not hard to get a table here!

Great food! I am excited to go back and try more options! My Curry could have been served a bit warmer and the table was wobbly. But nothing from making this a go to spot!

Hands down the best food in Columbia, on my visit from out of town I read good reviews on this place but no words can do this place justice. They have am amazing atmosphere blending new and old style into a modern vibe that is an enjoyable place to with plenty of booths tables inside and out and a bar with a excellent beer and whisky list. The service was great with our server giving excellent recommendations and having tried everything on the menu she was very knowledgeable on everything we had questions about and was on point wit recommending the deviled eggs to start. I had the pub 44 burger and I have to say it was the best burger I have ever had combining so many flavors in a way that made the entire package amazing and you can tell everything was fresh and put together with care. If you like good food good beer and a great experience don’t think twice go here.

I was trying to find something interesting to eat when I was in Columbia and saw this place right away. Just about anything with public house in the title piques my interest! The bar was very nice and they had an awesome mix of local and other small breweries on the menu. The bar tender was super attentive and helped me decide on a beer with a couple of samples. That’s the easy part though due to my love of good beer. As for food, I went with the half chicken meal, which he suggested to me. Once i got a couple of affirmations from the other patrons sitting at the bar with me, I was sold. The meat was very tender and was very well prepared. The sides were incredible as well and paired perfectly with the chicken. I will absolutely go back there next time I’m in town!

Best pork belly sandwich I’ve ever had. It is a must try here. The deviled eggs are very good as well. Friendly staff and reasonably priced. This place nailed it on my book. Cheers.
