Been coming for over a year and haven’t needed another barber since you won’t be disappointed

The place is kind of good but it served its purpose. The inside has potential. There is a lizard in the glass counter which is cool. The manager (I’m assuming) followed me to he parking lot to make sure I liked my haircut. Cool spot.

So my first time here at Taperz I had a few issues, but upon my second visit, all I can say is that I left a very satisfied customer. My barber was Luis and really took care of my hair. He paid close attention to detail and took his time to make sure the cut was just right! He even used a razor to make my cut look that much sharper. The taper was on point and couldn’t have really asked for better. Looks like I found my new barbershop. I’m only giving 4 stars because I have yet to have a combover done here but once my hair is long enough I will definitely give this place a shot at it!

I came in like 45mins b4 closing time. They told me we are not taking anymore people anymore. They where to lazy to clean after they closed. So they decided to start cleaning early so they could just leave. I mean change the time u close if anything. I won’t ever be back here again.

This is an update to my previous review. After leaving a negative review on this barber shop, I was contacted by Iman the owner. I was apologized to, told that he would speak to his staff and even offered a free haircut and tax preparation at his other business. With this is all and fine what a text book owner should do, what you fail to realize Mr. Iman is that when someone politely refuses your offer and wishes to let their review stand, it shows real lack of taste and maturity to berate them and call them a liar in your response comment. No Luis did not have an appointment at that time, because the gentleman who supossedly had that appointment asked who was next and Luis told him he was as stated in my original review. It was only when I interjected as I was the 3^rd person waiting there since a half hour before the business was supposed to open, that Luis stuttered and said oh, it’s because he has an appointment. How do I know that he takes others as preference before someone else, because I’ve seen him do it on 2 separate occasions when I was in there. Everyone in that shop looked at me like Luis was lying and they felt bad for me for having waited 3 hours at this point. It is very appearant by your response and lack of respect for a paying customer that my review was right on about the way you treat your customers. For an owner who cares little about the shop and is talked about by his own employees, I highly doubt you looked at any «video.» I cannot give this ghetto place enough low stars. Like I said in my original post, stay away! Take your money elsewhere, since this owner thinks he can tell you how to spend it.

I just had my hair cut by Louis. His attention to detail with his work was great. My only critique is about the establishment. The place could use some TLC as far as the waiting area and if you have operating hours that say you’re going to be open at 8:00AM then at least show up on time. I had to wait 20 minutes after they supposedly opened.

This is an excellent shop. A great group of professional barbers.
I tried this place out after my regular place turned into a salon. If you don’t make an appointment you will be waiting. They will get to you and treat you like a good friend.
I do not have the amount of hair that some people do but they take their time and pay attention to the details.

Place is in the cut. They got a pool table and ps3 why you wait. The barbers there know what they are doing. They are very cool and all talk to you when you are there too bad I didn’t find this spot before I’m moving. I definitely recommend this spot.

My 5 yr-​old Son needed a haircut, and my regular Barber was closed for some unknown reason. So we came into this place just a few blocks from my house. Parked, and walked in the back door. I guess your suppose to use the front door, because we got some puzzled looks from people as we walked in. Both Barbers were giving haircuts. Took a seat on an empty barber seat and waited. They were all having a conversation together, with some mild cursing going on. I understand that this is a Mens Barbershop, and that some cursing comes with the territory; so I didn’t mind at all. Just a fair warning that if you are sensitive about that type of thing, you might want to go elsewhere for a cut.
We were going to just get my Son a #3 fade, but he was scoping out all the different kids haircuts on the wall. I asked him which one he liked, and he pointed at a kind of faux-​hawk look. Then he asked if he could get that haircut. First time had ever had an opinion of how his hair was cut, so in the spirit of individuality I told him yes.
As one of the Barbers finished up, we were able to scope out the front waiting room. PS3, pool table, couches, Lizard mascot. Chill spot to wait for a haircut. Dude called us up, and I pointed out what my Son wanted.
Not only was the haircut done the way my kid wanted it, but the Dude did such a great job that it ended up better than what we expected. My Son was holding still enough to use the razor to line him up. We chopped it up with this Guy, and at this point, no cursing was happening. My boy was stoked about the haircut, he wanted to show it off all day!
I think I will bring my little boy here from now on, and I will have my teenage Son try this place to see if he likes it too. Its closer to my house, and it sells the really good brand of gel that I like.
Legit Barber Shop. Mad skills.

Ilish the BARBER his haircuts are legit, he gets down with the cuts, clean shaved, razor old school meets new school, skilled, this place is great, great parking lot space, PlayStation and Netflix, pool table what more can you ask for from a barber shop excellent customer service –while you wait for your turn. ASK FOR ILISH!!! You will not be disappointed. Great prices the building is yellow so yeah it stands out.

My 5 year old loves coming over here & getting his hair cut by Louis. He is super patient. No other barber for us.

Finally! Found a good barber shop. After reading the reviews on here we gave it a shot. Walked in and got helped right away. Elish did a very good taper. They have a pool table in the waiting area & ps3 to play while you wait. I would definitely recommend this shop to any locals near the area.

I cannot believe how many good reviews this place got I came in and I asked them if they can do a specific haircut and I showed them a picture it was a simple taper fade the barber totally messed me up he left a bald spot on my head I told them I was not going to pay for the cut and he let me go without paying this goes to show even he know how much he messed me up
Please do not come here if you like professional cuts.

Call to make sure they’re open. Waited 30 minutes after they were supposed to open. No one showed up. My search for an IE barber continues…

I’m came down from the Bay Area … Best barbershop I been to in yrs I called and told me that they were busy but to come down anyways so I did and now want to drive 6hrs to get a haircut lol … Thanks it was a great cut and did my beard for me will come back for sure… Will bring my black light and strobe light as well «in side joke »

I’ve lived in the IE for about a year now and have had alot of horrible experiences with barbershops! Almost to the point where I was just gonna let my sons grow dreads, f**k it. but thanks to alot of positive reviews and recommendations from locals, I gave this place a shot and Im glad I did. Luis was very professional and didnt do a half ass job cutting my sons hair. I’ll definitely be back!

Came here for a haircut after moving to the IE and not knowing where to go for a Fro-​cut. This place is comfortable and unique. Great barbers at a great price.
Ever since the first time I’ve been here twice.

I started going to TaperZ, back on December 30, 2013, after I got out of a year stay in a medical center. The barbershop was the closest, to my house, only about ½ mile away! The first time, I went, I think Luis, cut my hair! Compared to other barbers, Luis worked on me, at least 45 minutes+, and even used a straight razor, and shaving cream, to cut the sides and back, of my head, to create a straight hair line, which allot of barbers don’t do anymore! I felt like I was getting, my time, and money’s worth! I like the haircut, and have been back at least 4, or 5 times since! It is easier to cut my hair, which grows fast. He uses a #6.5 clipper attachment, for the sides, and lower backside, and a #8 attachment for the top! My hair then, is cut «evenly», and feels good, and looks very clean, when done… not to mention cooler, in the Summer months!
Their bright «yellow» building (looks like it colllided with a psychodelic banana truck), doesn’t look like much, but they sure seem to do a nice hair cutting job inside, at a standard reasonable price, and have anywhere from 2 to 4 barbers!
What makes TaperZ totally different, from other barbershops is, that they are open, «7» days a week! They also have a flat screen TV, and a pool table to keep you entertained, while waiting for your turn, if needed! Plus, They sell hair cutting equipment too!
Try them out… what do you have to lose, except some hair!

I want to recommend this Barber Shop, today was my first time there.
At first, this place may look like a «hole in the wall» but let me tell you that you will be very satisfied with the professional service they offer.
The staff is very polite, detailed and professional.
I just got the most amazing haircut by Mr. Dimas!!! This guy is a real pro and very talented barber. I really recommend him.
