Well maybe it was not a good idea to go there within a couple days of visiting Taste of Philly. When I walked in, about an hour after they opened, the place was empty, but it was very clean. I was greeted by this very friendly guy who took my to-go order. I didn’t have to wait for a long time before I got my steak. I ordered a half Little Philly. It was pretty good, though it was not as good as the one from Taste of Philly. I did not taste any cheese, though the wrapper had a glob of cheese whiz on it, which makes me wonder if my taste buds are failing me. Maybe other sandwiches are good. And for that, and to keep an open mind, and because I drive through this place once a week, I will try other sandwiches, and edit the review as it happens.

Good portion, decent cheese steak at best. I ordered a 12′ cheese steak to go, add peppers and mushrooms. No drink, no fries, just a sandwich, my total was over $ 16. Really? I think I’ll stick with taste of philly. Better food, lower prices.

I was expecting a dang good hoagie based on all the Unilocal hype. But, it’s just a hole in the was sandwich shop that has pretty okay food. My bread was soggy because of how wet the marinara ‘sauce’ was, but the flavors were good. Most people seemed to get their cheese fries, which looked gross to me using cheese from a bottle.

Good but not great. Had the Pastrami Sandwich, and while the temperature and bread were good, the meat was a little dry. On the plus side, I ordered a foot long, but probably could have gotten by with a 6″. I’ll hie them another shot sometime.

Noticed Lina mentioned me and said«giving a restaurant one star just for the wait is kind of harsh”– I would agree, but that’s not the case here! As I wrote, the cook started making other people’s food who came in long after I did, and only was going to grab mine when I said I was leaving. As far as some items taking longer and the advice to be patient, I think waiting over 30 minutes for a small sub is particularly ridiculous, especially considering it was only meatballs. that are surely already made and ready.

Dunno about all these stars. Nice folks, decent menu. My food was poison. Fell ill and had to go home from work… Not exactly my ideal lunch.

Sorry this location isn’t as good as the original location down on South 8th street. They use to own this one but it has changed hands a few times.

I read Dan’s review and honestly, giving a restaurant one star just for the wait is kind of harsh for this cute little establishment. It’s definitely a hole in a wall but I think that’s what I love about hidden gems like these. Perhaps some items take a little longer to make. I believe the owner is the only person working here so be patient. Afterall, patience is a virtue. I was recommended to go here after visiting Garden of the Gods and I’m absolutely glad I did! I had the cheesesteak hoagie and basically scarfed it down because it was that good! The onions grilled in with the cheese never tasted so good! I wanted to try their hot wings but I think I will save that for the next trip I’m out here! Thanks for satisfying my taste Trivelli’s Hoagies!

The sandwiches were amazing! To make them legitimately like Philly they need cheese whiz on them. Pepsi products are a plus for. Great hidden gem.

A no-frill hole in the wall, but they’re there to serve a good sandwich. And they do deliver on that. I’ve never had a Philly Cheesesteak, but it’s everything I imagined it would be. They do use Callicrate beef, and everything was made when I ordered it. The bread is nice and soft. They use lots of meat. Not too much cheese, but it’s nice and creamy and in every bite. And the onions are plentiful. Got it to go, and it was still piping hot when I got home. And the best part — it wasn’t greasy at all, which I was worried about. Can’t wait for my husband to try the leftovers.

Yes, have to agree Trevellie’s has great tasting steak sandwiches! We stopped in there one night to grab a bite to eat before going to a workshop at the school. The place is clean and staff friendly. We had the cheese steak sandwiches and it was flavorful. We went back again and the owner cooked to order what we asked. Although the sandwiches were good, it just didn’t have the flavor of the steak sandwiches we had in PA. Those are mouth watering just thinking of them.

Trivelli’s beats Tony Luke’s, Pat’s and Geno’s this side of the Mississippi. Good Italian food too. Good quality breads. But you must have a foot long cheesesteak! EXCELLENT.

Holy cheese steak! Best cheese steak in Colorado for the last 20 years. Go there. Get one. Your brain will be tattooed with warm cheesey love.

Trivelli’s is a great little sandwich shop. The prices were comparable to other sandwich shops, but their portions were big and really tasty. The service was very friendly and what I would expect from a mom and pop. The Philly was really good.
