I love this place. It’s my go-​to shop whenever I am in town.

These guys were incredible! We rented mountain bikes and they went over and above to help us. Tony even pulled up restaurant menu’s for our dinner. We highly recommend this local shop!

I’m a beginner, just looking to purchase my first bike in a looooong while.
I went into this shop after reading these various great reviews on Unilocal.
I was met by a young guy (about 20 years old) who directed me promptly to GIANT bikes, all new. He immediately asked how much I wanted to spend. I was looking for a bit of a talk-​through, wanting to pick to brain of an expert on exactly what I might need. He didn’t seem to know much beyond «uh, there are lots of different types of components»…awkward silence.
Not sure if I just got an unusually inexperienced salesperson, but I would certainly say that this is not the place to go if you’re needing education and are a beginner. It may be that this is indeed the «go-​to» place for people who really know what they’re doing, but for education and getting started… it is not.

I bought a mountain bike here about a year ago, and every time I walk out of there I’m a happier customer. Tony, Rick, and the gang treat me like I’m their best customer every time I come in, even though I’m in the Springs sporadically and don’t stop by too often. Tony spent two pretty full days with me helping me select my bike and then adjusting it to fit me. Since then, they’ve been maintaing my bike very proactively, getting anything replaced that they can while it’s still under warranty, and explaining everything they find or do to it. I’ve taken my bike in about 4 times, and my only cost has been one new chain (new bikes come with a year of free service and other perks). I really feel guilty for all the time they spend with me when I’m not even buying anything. Last week I even went in asking what size road bike I would need while I’m on vacation and left with a detailed set of my measurements (and an explanation of them!).
There may be other local bike shops give great service to customers who buy their bike from them, but I’ve seen the guys at Ted’s spend 15+ min making some minor adjustments on the bikes of walk-​in customers and not accept any money for the service!
By the way, this is only the second review I’ve ever written, and it’s long overdue.

Excellent business and customer service. We were at a family reunion over the 4^th of July and were calling around the Denver/​Colorado Springs area to rent mountain bikes. Everywhere else had none available but Ted’s had a couple of Giant bikes that they got ready on short notice. A great place to ride is Palmer Park about a mile east of the shop!

This place is great! Very nice bikes for a good price and it all comes with great customer service. I broke the chain and the chain guard on my rental bike (which was totally my fault) and they were very nice and apologetic and didn’t charge me to fix it. I would definitely recommend this place.

Undoubtedly this shop is the go-​to place in Colorado Springs. We came in on a Sunday not knowing the shop was closed, and the owner answered our questions and helped us with repairing a 23 year old bike. Expert knowledge, welcoming owner, and excellent service. New lifetime customers for sure.

Awesome place. Helmets were cheaper than other places. Lots of accessories on display. Staff was very genuine and helpful. I really like the small but organized layout of the place, even the repair shop in the back. I just found my new local bike shop.

I recently bought a bike rack for my coffee shop from Ted’s. Unfortunately, it was stolen even though it was bolted to the cement. I called Ted’s to let them know. I decided not to purchase another one for fear that it would get stolen again. One day, I come into the shop and a wonderful man from Ted’s was putting in a new one at no
charge. I was shocked and am so thankful for their kindness. What a statement that makes to another local business owner. I wish more people ran their business like this! Thank you again!

Super helpful and great atmosphere. Had everything a utilitarian bicyclist could ask for and ordered what he didn’t have. Best shop in the springs for commuting folk. A real LBS in a city blanketed by enormous chains with little to no customer service.
