The lady that works here has literally kept me coming back. She’s truly a joy.(The middle aged black woman that LOVES selling yogurt and sounds like she has a slight southern accent). I actually go hoping she’ll be there, because she makes everyone around her smile. Someone give that woman a raise! She’s a rare bird. She has even asked my husband about me when he came in without me once. «How’s that pretty little wife you have? Make sure you’re a good husband and bring her back somethin’ sweet to get some more weight on her tiny seld! Is she still not eating dairy?!?» It cracks me up. She’s so welcoming that she treats this place like her home. The quality of their yogurt has always been a family favorite, but the only reason I’m going down to 4 stars is simply because they are starting to phase out their almond/soy milk alternatives. I can’t eat the regular, I won’t be able to keep coming here if they take it away. At this point they keep a few pre-poured containers in the freezer, so there goes the joy of having a silky soft serve. My only other option is the sorbet, but it’s too tart for my preferences. The sad part is that the Silk soft serve is so good, that it’d sell more if it wasn’t advertised as «dairy free». For some reason, that scares so many customers away before they try it… But TCBY’s version of it is identical to any other. They do it right, and I hope they keep it around(for my sake at least, I’ll miss the lovely worker lady AND the coconut, vanilla and eggnog vegan choices).

I seem to be on a trend of going to chain restaurants that aren’t keeping up with cleaning too well. This one wasn’t bad but it wasn’t good. The service was fast and friendly. The pumpkin soft serve was awesome!

TCBY beats all these other yogurt places if you ask me. I don’t want to have to serve myself, pick all my toppings, then find out at the end I just spent $ 10 on one cup of yogurt. TCBY always has yummy flavors! I like the location because I can just walk over and have a treat after paying my electric bill at King Soopers. I, for one, am happy that TCBY is back in The Springs!

Wow!!! I too purchased the white chocolate mousse for myself and my mother on Thursday, April 28th. Probably between 6pm and 7:30pm. I had mine the same night and later in the night through morning suffered the same symptoms as the previous reviewer! Next day I finished it off — same thing :-(My mother had hers yesterday and sure enough — same problem. Realizing at this point that the illness was specific to the TCBY I called the store about 30 minutes ago to alert them to the problem. I didn’t catch her name but, I per the woman answering the phone I had reached the store manager. I asked for the owner who I was told would not be in until later this evening, so I put my stock in the store manager and went on to explain what occurred. I couldn’t have been more disappointed, dissatisfied or concerned with her response, which was: We are a new store and conditioning the machines, it will take some time but it will sort itself out.. . No apology, no offer of amends and certainly not an excepted excuse or justification. #1 This was my 3rd time in the store since open. On each prior visit, I ordered the same flavor and did not suffer any side effects at all. #2 You can’t honestly think it’s okay to tell a consumer that basically you are aware that you’re product may make the public sick and we should just bare with you and suffer the consequences while you’re machines takes their sweet time. If it’s accurate that the machines need time to acclamate without causing illness to the public then you’re store should not be open yet… On my 1st visit I was surprised with the experience. Exceptionally long wait for a shake with only a few customers in store. The store was new and the staff clearly still working through training as I could visibly see they needed assistance and were eventually guided through the nearly 30 minutes it took them to complete my order for 1 medium shake. I chalked it off to their newness and returned a 2nd time. The second time my service was speedy though I was the only consumer in the store and purchased 2 pint containers of pre-made yogurt from the freezer. However the customer service was horrible. After speaking with the«store manager» today, I have to believe the cashier who checked me out on the 2nd visit was the same manager. When I approached the counter with the pints, she said to me as though I were ignorant that If I were buying the same flavor I should have just purchased the quart which was less money. I found it a little concerning that I had to clarify to the cashier her own product, 1. being the difference in color between the 2 pints purchased and 2. the more obvious difference in label…strawberry and the second, white chocolate mousse. As I left I knew this was no longer a new store issue. There are some major problems here. And I hoped(and still do) that they work this out and resolve all grievances because frankly — I HAVEREALLYMISSEDTCBY. Ever since they closed the franchises in NY I have missed it. There haven’t been any out here and I was so excited when they opened. Bottom line in Colorado Springs though, the service problems alone I’ve encountered are the equivalent of a death sentence to a new restaurant in Colorado Springs per the trend. Typically about 3 months of that and a restaurant can read their own slamming obituary from one of the food critics in the local Gazette as they close their doors for good. Causing illness though…That is MAJOR. More then a loss of business but, a lawsuit. As much as I love and have missed TCBY I’m not willing to risk my own health for it. I seriously hope the owner get’s wind of these Unilocal reviews and makes the changes necessary so that this doesn’t happen and should they, please for goodness sake — give your staff a protocol on cleanliness and service expectations and include in that how they should handle a dissatisfied customer, at the very least a guideline to have the appropriate person call the customer back if they aren’t equipped to handle the concern on their own. I really don’t want to see you go under TCBY but, I’ve got to tell you — if you don’t resolve some of these issues and fast for the colorado springs community you ARE most certainly headed there.

Ambiance: Small retail space for this national chain. On a recent Saturday evening around 8pm, the place was packed with no seating. Questioned the cleanliness of the place, as the dining room did not appear it had been tended to for several hours — dirty, sticky floors, garbage cans over-flowing, and the floor behind the counter looked like it was in good need of a mop and broom. Service: What you would expect at a fast food place that pays minimum wage. Food: Falls into the 2-star Unilocal definition of «I’ve experienced better». Not bad, but nothing special at all. Limited flavor selection. Went with blueberry, that didn’t have a lot of berry flavor. Better ice creams and yogurts at Glacier or Josh and John’s. Overall, not a place I am anxious to return to.

I’d never«gone out for Frozen Yogurt» until this shop opened up a few weeks ago. It’s pretty good. The rumor is that Frozen Yogurt is better for you than Ice Cream, but I really don’t care. I don’t go out for dessert to find something nutritious – just something yummy! This location is really small. When I took the family here a few nights ago, there were no seats available, and there were people standing because it was so crowded. I guess TCBY’s just stuck with what the developer built, but it is painfully small. And there’s no outside seating. I tried the Blueberry Frozen Yogurt. It was ok. Nothing stellar. I think I’ve decided I like Ice Cream better than Yogurt. If you’re a big TCBY fan though, there is one HUGE benefit – there’s finally a TCBY in Colorado Springs!
