I Actually had to leave and go do my grocery shopping at King Soopers. The produce section at this safeway store was so disgusting and priced way too high. I’ve complained about the produce quality before, but clearly management sees no reason to improve. Well today was the worst. Empty shelves. Brown lettuce. Mushy vegetables sitting in wet puddles of goo.

Just left Safeway on Powers, we decided to try out something differ than King Soopers, and it was a huge mistake. I can’t believe how incredibly rude all of the employees were, especially our cashier and the man behind the Deli counter. Needless to say we won’t be shopping here again! Learn some customer service skills, no wonder the ratings are so low.

I’ve always had a positive experience whenever I come in here. I would say this location is by far one of the better Safeway locations in the Springs. Deals ran are usually really good and you can save a lot of money by downloading the Safeway app and loading coupons onto your card. They have some very helpful yet friendly staff here. It was a little tricky to find things and I found in general, prices are higher here than at King Soopers. Other than that, this is a great Safeway store!

Okay, I consider going to Safeway to be the place you go only if all the gas stations markets in the universe are closed. That said, all the gas station markets in the universe were closed so I went to this Safeway. It is the most beautiful store, ever. Expensive as hell, but if you want an experience where you feel you are in a land of beautiful stores with beautiful food and beautiful aisles and no one bothers you. OTOH, they are union, so + 1 for that.

Eh, it has some hard to come by produce other stores have run out of. But the lines… Brutal. Don’t even try to checkout with produce after 9pm. You will be stuck at U scan hand punching in all the produce codes on your own. It is so time consuming.

This grocery store is by far one of the worst I’ve ever gone too. There’s always huge lines and never enough lanes open. I’ve had to ask multiple times for additional registers to be opened while other angry customers vocalize their unhappiness all around me. They rely too heavily on U Scans… More then any store I have experience with and it’s almost to the point where it’s weird. I’m not joking. The management team is incompetent and all around uninterested in efficiency in all the forms. On top of the lousy service and a bland selection of food, they also have high prices! Shop elsewhere!

This Safeway is definitely the closest grocery store for us, but I refuse to go here anymore. Every time I find myself so annoyed with the long and slow check out lines. There is always a long wait and never do they open more checkers. I drive further to avoid the frustration this place gives me.

What used to be THE grocery store on the Powers corridor 30 years ago has become nothing more than a Kum ‘n Go with a StarBucks …(and to have the StarBucks in the store baffles me, as there is a full blown retail StarBucks just at the end of the strip mall) … THEN: You couldn’t walk down an entire aisle without an employee asking if they could be of service … NOW: You can literally walk the entire store and not be approached … More so you would be hard pressed to find an employee if you need one … THEN: Bright interior, clean counters and floors, fresh smell … NOW: Dreary lighting with noticeable burned out lamps … produce counters and freezers that have certainly seen better days … not dirty; just old and dated … as far as smell, you are over powered by the floral shop as you enter the store … I’m sure that was done for a reason … The floral smells attach to you and linger for a while on you after leaving the area … THEN: You could find about anything you needed as far as food selection NOW: Most everything is branded ‘Safeway Select’ now … anything else has a limited selection and usually pushed to the back of the shelf … want the latest and best from the commercial you just saw on TV last Saturday? … you’ll wait weeks before it shows up on the shelf … THEN: Pick an open checkout register, any register … and every register has a bagger . NOW: Minimal registers are open now … two dozen registers and you’re standing in line trying to get to one of the three that are open … There is one thing about this Safeway that I like … Ample parking … Plenty of spots open … That’s because no one shops here anymore!!! One more thing I like … the PA system … playing Journey today at decibels surpassing a kids thumper car was excellent … I didn’t mind it at all … I’m thinking not so much though for the rest of the senior crowd in the store … this Safeway has become an extension of the old folks home for groceries … there is no young crowd … playing some Lawrence Welk would be more appropriate … This particular Safeway needs serious money for a facelift … A major clean up from top to bottom … gut it and bring it up to the standards of it’s competitors who only live a mile either way down the road … And while you’re at it, redeploy the employees … Farm them out to other stores to relearn customer service … I’m leaving with a two star review vice one star due to the fact that I got such a great parking spot!!! … Carl …

Tired of endless unmoving lines and inefficient uncourteous cashiers. Gonna start driving farther for faster service and better quality product from king soopers. Will consider being a regular here again if they put in more self checkouts.

Safeway isn’t my usual grocery store, but this location is convenient for me on the weekdays for quick errands when I’m not buying key items. But the downsides are I’ve never had success finding decent meats and fishes, even in the early afternoons, and their generic brands are not as tasty as the Kroger generics(except for Safeway’s Moosetracks ice cream — yum!), and it’s a hit or miss if I’ll find my favorite loaf of bread there(the Artisan Renaissance). Sometimes they have it, sometimes they don’t. Another strike is the sucky parking lot to this entire shopping center. It’s so popular you have to be super careful to watch for pedestrians crossing the main roadway to get into any of the stores. As I was leaving yesterday, I witnessed a middle-aged lady screaming at an elderly male driver as he backed out his car — he nearly hit her and continued to back out, clueless. To avoid all the craziness, I suggest accessing these shops by parking in the back of the lot and using the minor road that goes by the car wash, Burger King, and Texas Roadhouse.

I come to Safeway for their bakery section. They also have great desserts!

Safeway is expensive and not so great. I only go here for things I need ASAP… other than that, I go to King Soopers. Usually the prices are above what you can get just down the street. Especially veggies… way too expensive for what you get. Donuts are terrible to bad. And this location is strangly«darkish» inside. I like light open airy places. But it is close. so thats it.
