I mainly just come for the salsa. I love the cheese enchiladas, just don’t expect on going for real Mexican. When my boyfriend and I go, service is mediocre. I will say that Austin is the best server ever! He doesn’t ask if we want more salsa and chips, he just brings it! Always disappointed when we don’t see him there.

Horrible service and worse food. McD’s is better than this sorry excuse for a restaurant.

It has been awhile since I have been here so I decided to stop in at lunch. Some of the reviews I have read stated they had to wait longer than average for their food. I guess I came at a great time because mine came out pretty fast. The young lady that served my table was polite and helpful but the food was just okay. Nothing to scream about.

Okay… I was worn out from work. I wasn’t in mood to cook dinner because I finish work at 9pm. So I decided to go this restaurant with my girl and it was my first time! So we walked in and the server named Jackie. She welcomed us in restaurant and got us a seat… She came back asked us if we are ready to order. HOWEVER, we didn’t have the menu in the first place… We asked for the menu. She was nice enough to give us time to order a food. Then the food came… It was great. Then we are ready to leave. She asked if I wanted a box and yea I did. Jackie came with a receipt, I put cash in and waited for her to come and get my change… No that doesn’t happened because seems like she is busy talking to her friends over there and I was sitting waiting for like 30 mins until her FINALLY came and get my change… The result… Food are great! Jackie sucks at serve! She needs more training on serve better and focus on serving and not chatting with her friends.

Wow… service here was absolutely horrible and way over priced! We were greeted horribly and we had gotten a waitress how was being trained… she didn’t k ow what she was doing and greeted the table behind us(who had already been helped) by the time we got our drinks and appetizers we were ready to get up and leave. When i asked to pay for the 2 sodas, 1 tea, and the cheese and guacamole(no chips came with that) the guy had looked at me with the biggest attitude glare and then said sure… took my card with out showing me a receipt or bill. We will NEVER be coming here again.

First time at OTB, visited for dinner. After much deliberation over the delicious looking menu, I opted for the Mango Chicken Salad — YUM! After waiting a considerable amount of time for our food, I was a bit disappointed to discover that my MANGO chicken salad arrived without mango. After I asked our waitress, she said it may be because they were out and went to check. A few minutes later the manager came up to me, apologized and took my salad off the bill(how nice!!) Salad, though mango-less was still very good. Everyone else I was with really enjoyed their meals as well. As most of the review say there was poor customer service– I would have to disagree, the manager was especially friendly and helpful. Our waitress did keep referring to my boyfriend as ‘love’ which I thought was really unprofessional and didn’t really appreciate.

Service was good, food was bad, only warm. Sizzling fajitas were not sizzling. We will not return to this place. Prices are too high for the quality of food served.

We stopped in on a Saturday night because it was walking distance from our hotel. There was ONE server in the bar area responsible for making all of the drinks ordered in the restaurant and waiting on all bar area tables. On a Saturday night. Management take note — this is a bad idea. Food was generic Tex-Mex, nothing at all wrong with the dishes we ordered, they were OK, nothing special.

This is our go-to place for a reminder of Tex-Mex in Dallas; the closest thing we have found to real Tex-Mex in the Springs. And, the food is actually very good! Love the table-side guac and many of their dishes. It’s funny, in Dallas this would be one of the last places you’d go for Tex-Mex as there are so many others that are better, but this one for some reason has a higher level of quality and just seems to get it right. So glad it’s close to where we live! Sometimes you just gotta have the TEX-MEX!!! The only thing they missed with this one is where the door is located… should have used the backside of the restaurant as the main door(where all the parking is located) and utilized the Southgate-facing side for a great outdoor patio! Missed opportunity there!!!

The food was good, but the guy who creates the balloons was very disrespectful solely trying to impress the girls I was with. He continued to disrespect me till about the time we left the resturant. I will never go back again.

Horrible customer service over the phone! We order thousands of dollars of food from there through for our company and for some reason our company credit card did not work when our runner went to pick up our order so we tried to pay with a different card over the phone and the lady told our manager — We have had this conversation before. Umm NO we haven’t and EVENIF this had happened before, DONOT try to call someone out! We left our $ 150 lunch order there and ordered from elsewhere, as we will be doing from now on for our Saturday luncheons. Thanks for making it an easy decision to NOT deal with your rude employees. P. S. The manager better start recording the phone calls and screening them if this is what we as customers have to deal with.

I’ve given this place a few chances. The service has been the main problem here. Very slow even when it’s not very busy. The refried beans I had tonight were so watered down they should had served it in a soup bowl. The portions of beans and rice are not as good as they used to be. The enchilada and the chicken flauta was good. They either need to hire more people or improve their customer service.

We had a fantastic server but the food was mediocre. I wasn’t expecting much either. My house salad was too spicy to eat and just tasted very bland. I liked my shredded beef enchilada more and the black beans were pretty good too however it was too salty. By the time I left, I had went through four glasses of water! Overall, my mother and I got ok food for the price. Customer service here is really good and they do a fantastic job on checking in on you, filling water glass, etc. They are very friendly people! I probably won’t be coming back in here due to the quality of the food.

Went to On The Boarder for lunch while visiting a friend, both of us were disgusted! The«Ground Beef» tasted just like a High School Taco made with meat filler.(YIKES) They did have amazing Margaritas, and the manager did take my meal off our check because it was that awful. I was kinda disappointed. Also it was over priced for the low quality of food. Wouldn’t recommend it unless you just want a good margarita

LOVEIT, LOVEIT, LOVEIT! Great service, the flan is excellent, almost as good as Abuelas homemade… Good Happy Hour, customer surveys will score ya free queso ;) P. S. I hear the Southgate location is the best–

My boyfriend has been coming here for years and swears this is the best On The Border in town. We’ve gone together a few times now and everything about it is great. Food is delicious. Never ending chips are great. Their queso is amazing. The jalapeño poppers they have are amazing. Servers are very attentive. The only thing was the last time we went, because it was so busy we were seated at the table closest to the main door… on a windy and cold night. A bit chilly sitting there, but I’m not about to knock a star for something like that which will probably never happen again.

The food is as you’d expect from a Mexican restaurant, but the server was amazing and that made up for a few stars! The chips are free and unlimited, which is a huge plus. I wouldn’t recommend eating them unless you are willing to go all out and accept the few extra calories of adding a generous amount of salt. They’re way better with salt. Soft drinks are an excellent deal here. The cup is huge, and the refills are plentiful. I had the three enchilada meal with cheese and onion filling. Despite not detecting a hint of onion, the meal was tasty. In conclusion, the food is good as long as you aren’t in a diet!

Good food for stream lined mass chain type of eatery. I had the Enchilada Suiza; plate was piping hot though the food was not as. Good part was it was not over salted. Chips were good and fresh tasting. Best part I think was probably the waitress, she was attentive though not constantly at the table.

This is not a bad review… it’s a WARNING. Stay away from this place. But for real… everything about our experience here was TERRIBLE.
