Old Chicago

Horrible is all I can say. It is a shame when a General Manager speaks to long time customers the way Roger (GM) did last night. I completed my first world beer tour September 1990, and currently on tour number 9. I am part of a Wednesday night beer group where we use to meet exclusively at the Old Chicago’s on Powers every week. The service had gotten so poor, we decided to venture elsewhere to spend our money where it was appreciated. It gets very tiring correcting the wait staff on a wrong food order, a wrong bill, or just plain waiting to be served. Service is so key in today’s market it can make or break your establishment. Powers Old Chicago lacks true direction and it is evident it starts at the top with their GM Roger. I know of another group that use to meet there that no longer will because of the service. Ours and this other group spent alot of money there and it’s beyond me how little they care. We started to go there a little more lately to give them another chance and what a mistake it was. Last night after getting the bill I noticed that the $ 1.00 discount was not taken off the bill for each pint purchased during happy hour, the menu clearly states that during happy hour from 3−7pm ALL PINTS ARE $ 1.00 OFF. It does not say pints are a $ 1.00 with a disclaimer that mini-​tour beers do not apply. The GM Roger came out to the table and spoke to me like a police officer would speak to a criminal. He went as far as saying that we go above and beyond for you by reserving tables (twice), etc. I’m not an idiot, they accommodate our group because we spend alot of darn money there. Mr. GM, if you want to see what true customer service is, go into Red Leg Brewing on a Friday evening and you will see what it looks like!!! Those girls and that owner realize where their bread is buttered, obviously your place has not figured that out yet. It’s only a matter of time before more people truly realize how poor the service is at the Old Chicago’s on Powers. I do have two bright points however, Lexus and Kaylie are your only shining stars, it’s just a shame they work in such a poisoned environment. Like I said last night Roger, I will never spend another dime in your restaurant as long as you are the GM. If zero stars was an option for a rating, that’s what it would have been!!!

Customer service was SAD! Took over 40 minutes and still no appetizer! Ended up leaving… This has happened at another Old Chicago Pizza in CS to my wife and I. Needless to say no more Old Chicago visits for us! I even remembered the poor customer service last time and told my wife «this is the same restaurant we had to wait so long last time»!
Different location though. Long story short-​if you have lots of time and don’t mind a long wait-​this place may be for you!

Food is good, however the last 2 times we have been there is has smelled so bad. Smells like they never clean.

A favorite place of ours to go to. The service is wonderful and the beer is always extra cold. We came in as a larger group of 6 after church. My sister ordered wings– they came out a little undercooked. Our waiter was great and very attentive and that made all the difference!

Ate here last night; and it will most likely be the last.
The restaurant did not appear to be busy. I felt that our waitress was slightly behind on length of time between stops at our table. I asked for a sample of a dark beer; and was brought some light thing; which should have been a clue.
We ordered our food with an appetizer; I ordered the Bratwurst Calzone, my girlfriend ordered the Turkey BLT, we also ordered cheese curds for an app.
Our food came out first; which is partially my fault for not ordering it with the drinks so I’ll give that one to her.
My girlfriend’s sandwich was wrong. After what seemed to be about 10 minutes or so; our waitress came over and I told her that I believe my girlfriend ordered the Turkey BLT; she took less than a half a second to say oh yea; that’s the wrong sandwich. Now I’m sure she’s very familiar with the sandwiches, but it did seem really quick; maybe I’m just paranoid. She said that we could keep the wrong sandwich and she would get the proper one out. Very acceptable answer.
Nearly 20 minutes later, after I was done with my food; the turkey blt comes out. The bacon is cold; the toast is cold. The bread was supposed to be sourdough, it was white. There was no peppercorn mayo on the sandwich. It literally looked like turkey lunch meat; 4 pieces of bacon; some lettuce and some tomatoes. I could have made this sandwich for $ 3.00 at home, rather than spending nearly $ 10, plus an extra dollar for soup.
Now, My food; I had the Beer n Bratwerst Calzone, was very good. Not enough brat in there for my taste; but it was hot; it was delicious, if only we had ordered two.
Our waitress brought the check, and I noticed that my girlfriend’s sandwich was still on the bill; we asked to speak to a manager. A manager hurried over and we explained the situation. The manager suggested that she could take the blt off the ticket; which we appreciated and said thank you.
20 Minutes later; we flag our waitress down. No new ticket had been delivered. We explained that the manager said she was going to take the sandwich off, and we had expected her to be right back. The waitress said she would take care of it. She came back quickly with the corrected bill.
Though the calzone was good; and may earn this restaurant another chance; I highly doubt we will be back.

The food was good but our waitress was not. When she asked if we wanted dessert we said no then she walked away for about 20 mins came back and asked if we were done. We said yes and asked for a to go box. Another 10 mins she came back asking if we wanted our check. Again we said yes and it took about another 20 mins for her to pick up our check and ring us out. They werent very busy while we were there either

Great food, always love Old Chicago, tried the boneless wings, they were ok but nothing to write home about. Pizza is still great.

We love this place!!! Many beers on tap!!! Love being able to create my open pizza. I have indigestion problems so l like a pizza with white sauce instead of red!!!

Here from out of town and was wanting some restaurant style pizza. I would definitely recommend this place, great food and great lunch prices. Salads are huge and sandwiches are a lot of food for one meal, can’t complain about that!

Come here for the pizza and stay for the beer. The pizza is an average pizza; however, there beer selection is legitimate. We have a lot of work events here and they have always impressed me. It is a chain restaurant but it is a nice place regardless. I enjoy their Sicilian pepperoni rolls and their all you can eat lunch buffet.
Recommend you get there right at lunch to avoid any crowds.

Stopped in for their all you can eat pizza lunch and was pretty disappointed. For a pizza place they really under delivered on the pie. I’m talking, Chuck-E-Cheese’s makes a better pie.
The service was pretty bad too, the waitress has a hell of a time getting our salads out to us and keeping our drinks topped off.
All in all, I’d skip them for lunch and probably wouldn’t be interested in dinner either. If you can bust out some awesome pies then I’m not going to find out how you do the other menu items.

Delicious pizza! While you’re waiting for take out to be done, they’ll take a phone number and call you when it’s ready. Plus any pizza up to $ 16 on your birthday? By far the best birthday deal.

So we went here a couple of days ago. The the calzones were amazing. They had yesterday’s game on that was great if you didn’t get to see it. The drinks I felt were a little pricey. The atmosphere was nice all though their was hardly anyone in the place maybe 10 couples at the most. The only reason I gave the 2 stars was the service the young man that was our server seemed annoyed to help us with only having 4 people in his area… We waited what felt like forever to get drinks and then the eye rolling was over the top. I believe we will try one more time and see if we get better service just because the food was good.

I don’t eat here on a regular basis, but the times I have it’s been great. The service has been friendly and they’ve been very attentive. The food comes out pretty quick. I ordered the Italian nachos and they’re a huge portion, not much sausage but still yummy!

Menu has been revamped. Some of the classics goodies like the Chicago 7 and Italian grinder pizzas are still on the menu. Always get a side host salad that has little slices of almonds. Don’t forget to start your beer tour!

Great staff. Their pizza is awesome. I’m not a fan of their wings but my husband likes them. I wish they had more of a beer variety but it is the best in town. They also have a beer tour so you earn points for drinking beer. We like to come here on football Sunday’s!

All in all, I was very disappointed. The customer service was awful, and you could tell nobody cares whether or not they kept their job. The dishes were dirty, and there were things floating in my drink. Also… my order was nasty. Won’t be making the mistake of coming back here again.

Had the best service we ever had at any of these restaurants last night. The waiter was pleasant and eager to please. Usually the servers are laissez faire, but this guy was on the ball.
As always our order was slightly off, luckily in our favor this time. Got a larger size of wings than we ordered, but didn’t have to pay for it. Never did get out jalapeños on the side though. We got thin crust classic pizza and wings with specially priced blue moon and angry orchard.
This is almost always a last resort for us because of previously poor experiences with service, but when we’re in a last minute bind searching for decent food it works.

This is the best OCs in the springs. It’s clean, not too noisy but not a library, attractive staff and great food. My type of place.
