Louie’s Pizza

Very disappointed. The pizza was good, but the service was not good. The lady taking the order forgot our pitcher of soda and then the old man working there did not want to give us a box to take home the rest of the pizza and cheesy bread. He complained that boxes cost money.
We were able to get some Styrofoam takeout containers instead. It took 3 containers to pack up the food. There is also a sign on the wall asking patrons to pay cash due to the increased cost of accepting credit cards. Pizza boxes and credit cards are a part of doing business. If you don’t want to absorb those cost, then raise the price of the Pizza, but you should not make the customers feel uncomfortable about using a credit card or asking for a box.
Additionally the carpets are dirty and the old, small television in the dining area gets poor reception. It is clear that the owner is not reinvesting any money in the business to keep it up to date and in good order

We were passing through town after some business in Denver, headed back to Dallas. We stopped in to Louie’s after the BBQ place next door was closed due to a fire. Man, talk about serendipity!
This place was amazing. It reminded me of the pizza places that I went to growing up back East. This wasn’t some crappy pizza chain like Domino’s or Papa John’s. Harlow helped us out and was EXCELLENT! He recommended what to get and the pizza and cheese bread was the best that we’ve had in a long time! He also recommended places to go around town. I am so impressed with him and Louie’s that I had to write a review (something I rarely do).
I will definitely be back here whenever I am in town. I’m already planning next year’s family vacation to come to Colorado Springs and will most certainly come back to Louie’s. Thank you so much, Harlow! Keep doing what you do!

Ordered delivery to storybook brewing with whom they’re supposed to offer a 20% discount.
No discount, reasonable delivery time (30 min), cold unremarkable meatball subs.
Might taste better after I take them home and microwave them, since they’re not worth eating right now.

Always fast and friendly. The pizza is really good, and the garlic bread sticks are amazing!

Nasty! Had a deal from the gazette so we tried this place out. Showed up at 545pm and every table in the place was dirty. No one was at any of the tables so it wasn’t an issue of them being busy. Bathrooms were filthy. Employees obviously don’t care.
Pizza was two stars at best.
Won’t be back.

The good news. Breadsticks were excellent. Pizza was excellent. Place is filthy. Customer service was iffy at best. One fellow did help us and seemed to be doing everything. New carpet, paint maybe. A great product in a crappy environment?

I placed an order for delivery around 6 on a Saturday and was told it would be a 45 min to an hour wait. An hour and 30 minutes later, still no pizza. When I called, they said it was just going into the oven. I was upset and asked how much longer it would be. And they said it would be to my house in 15 minutes. 25 minutes later I get a call they ask if we still want the pizza. It’s now about 8pm and we’ve waited 2 hours for a pizza, both my kids are crying because they’re starving and I’ve been lied to twice about when our food was going to get here, so we ended up settling for Mac and cheese at bedtime. Never ordering from here again.

They get 3 stars because their garlic breadsticks are amazing. But their staff is atrocious. They are so rude especially if you order something that needs a coupon.

I go to your store CONSTANTLY! I have always loved the service and food. However, my last experience will keep me from ever going back! As we were eating our meal, you could hear the screams of frustration from a female worker in the back. She was yelling at the other employees and throwing things around. The way she talked to her co workers was disgusting! My kids were there and DID NOT deserve to hear such language. Several customers as well as myself walked out. They could not beleive it either. Before i left i asked the gentleman up front what her name was, he said Barb. So I called a few hours later asking to speak to a manager regarding her behavior. The man stated she was a supervisor and if i had a problem i had to speak with her. I told him that wouldnt work and I wanted to speak to her superior. He said good luck, she would never allow it!!! I hung up. I cant believe this amazing company permita such behavior! I will never go back!

I have ordered from this location for well over 8 years, loved it. Lately though, delivery service as been subpar to say the least. Cold food, long wait times and a management staff that could care less.

So I got my father a gift card for Louie’s a few months ago, and he finally ordered some pizza today using it. Well, apparently a «gift card» is in their minds a credit card — i.e. no discounts. An extra $ 4 later, the pizza is still as good as ever though. I guess they have to pay for all the free pizza I got for getting straight A’s in high school somehow…

After 8 years, this is still my favorite pizza in Colorado Springs. The restaurant dining area and staff might not be anything worth bragging about, but they know how to consistently make good pizza.

Deal of the Day — a SCAM. I purchased the Louie’s deal of the day — $ 9 for $ 18 worth of food. Here’s the problem: I had to pay FULL price for the pizza. I couldn’t use any coupons or offers which is customary for ordering pizza there. So I only saved about $ 4. Additionally, they had so many restrictions that it wasn’t worth it: Sun –Thu; pick-​up only, one location.
Pizza is good; but restrictions made the Deal of the Day — a SCAM.

Okay. I like it. the pizza is tasty. they use canned mushrooms. which should bother me more and usually does. However it does not this time. and I have returned to this place and any location I happen to be nearest too many times. give it a shot. order some cheesy bread.

The food is really good for a decent price. I wasn’t disappointed.

These guys really put some time and effort into their dough and ingredients and it really shows int he final product.

I ran 18.5 miles this morning. It was 5:30 PM before I realized that, besides the salad I had for breakfast, I hadn’t eaten anything today. The chance of me making something for myself: 0%.
My friends had raved about Louie’s pizza a few weeks ago, and I decided today was the day to make the call.
I ordered the meatball alfredo pizza my friends had exalted, as well as some cheesy garlic bread. I ordered for pick up, as this location is about a mile away from my home. I ordered at 5:45 on a Friday night and the gentleman told me my pizza would be ready in 15 — 20 minutes.
I arrived at 21 minutes on the dot and my pizza and bread were ready immediately. The lady who rang me up was polite, friendly and efficient.
I hobbled out to my car and asked myself, «What could be the harm in eating a cheesy breadstick on the way home?»
I wish I could tell you that’s what I did, but that would be a bold-​faced lie. The truth is, I ate about 8 cheesy breadsticks on the way home. They were so, so delicious! Piping hot, doughy, cheesy goodness! My only regret is that they only come with (a very delicious) marinara sauce, and I am a ranch dip girl.
Once I got home I helped myself to a slice of the pizza. By this time my pizza and breadsticks had cooled down a bit and I found this took my food from «Amazing» to «Really Good», so I recommend eating there or reheating a bit when you get home.
The alfredo sauce was SO good, but I had no special feelings about the meatballs. I wish I was dedicated enough to reheat a piece and tell you if the temperature makes the difference on the meatballs, but I’m pretty sure if I put another piece of food in my mouth I will upchuck. Sorry.
