Food was way overpriced. Had a combo and was surprised at how small it was making this meal even less a deal for the high price. Didn’t have green chili plate or Mexican hamburger(staples when I’m not familiar with menu) and smothered bean burrito was not on menu either but they made two up for us at a reasonable price. Small but not very good. Save your money and find better Mexican food at far more reasonable prices! Santiagos is very good but it’s in Castle Rock. New to CS but I’m still looking.

This place has amazing food and drinks! We have lived in the springs for a little over a year and come from a hometown that had great Mexican food. This is the best Mexican food I have found in Colorado Springs hands down! Margaritas are on point, shredded beef burrito, homemade corn tortillas with the street tacos… mmmmm. So delicious I will definitely become a regular!

Been here over a year and a half and have never found good Mexican until this place. It’s amazing. I will be frequenting here for sure. Fresh ingredients, home made corn tortillas, this place is the real deal. I Highly recommend this place.

Don’t waste your time! Food was just so so. Steak Fajita lacked any flavor, onions and peppers soaked in cooking oil and lacked any seasoning whatsoever. Beans had absolutely no flavor, could have used some bacon and Mexican cilantro. Rice just there. Wife enjoyed refried beans, had so heat. Taco was soaked and had to be eaten with knife and fork. Service, had so and nothing notable to discuss here. All-in-all, Taco Bell better, but you can’t buy a beer at Taco Bell. I’ll just keep driving by this place.

A little lame so far. I received my margarita and chips almost immediately.(Cool!) 2 salsas. Very watery. My chicken tortilla soup arrived about 30 seconds before my fajitas. That is the lame part. The soup is ok at best. Kind of bland. The Margarita is good. Overcooked shrimp. I got my tortillas about 5 minutes after my fajitas. I might have ordered another Margarita but no one ever checked on me. Wait, she stopped by. I hope they have cameras to ensure the accuracy of my review. It wasn’t horrible but i probably won’t be back. Only enough guac for 1 fajita. Waiting on my check

2nd time I’ve been to a Las Palmitas here in town. It showed promise but that ended when the margarita came out made from a cheap mix that gave me stomach cramps something awful. Tried the Al Pastor burrito, the pork was very good but the rest was nothing special. Everyone else’s dishes were bland or didn’t stand out. As everyone else mentioned the service is brutally slow for how quiet it was on a Friday night.

My daughter and I had lunch here after church on Sunday. We decided to give this place a try since we had a coupon: buy one lunch, get one free. It was 12:15 in the afternoon and we were looking forward to having lunch together. I brought the coupon to our waitress’s attention, because, you know.. . some restaurants want to use coupons to lure you in to their restaurant, but they don’t actually want to give you the advertised discount. I wanted my waitress to know, prior to ordering, that we had a coupon we’d like to use. But when I showed her my coupon, she just pushed it back toward me and told me to just hang on to it until it was time to pay. We were there at 12:15 for lunch. My daughter and I each ordered a burrito for lunch and she had a coke and I had a margarita. Ha! Sure enough, this turned out to be «one of those places.» When it was time to pay, a different girl told me, «I’m sorry: this coupon is for«lunch» and you ordered«dinners.» I’m confused. I looked at the menu and didn’t see any distinction between«lunch» and«dinner» burritos. But I guess we didn’t order the right burritos for the lunch coupon. Even though it was 12:15 in the afternoon. And 1:30 before we finally got out of there!. .. because the service was LOUSY. The food was mediocre: a lot of rice and beans, you know. Not much else. The margarita was good though. Even though it was served in a glass with a big chip out of it at the bottom. I guess those funny margarita glasses with the cactus shaped stems cost to much to just toss out when they’re chipped or cracked.

Very good Mexican food. Each dish is beautifully made and presented. The servers are beyond friendly and helpful. It’s not your standard overflowing Mexican food that you find in other establishments Instead it’s well cooked, above average and more Authentic Mexican food. Best of all it’s a neighborhood restaurant! And clean! Bright, spotless and clean! Think I just talked myself into going there today

My family and I recently decided to check out this place and we’re all glad that we did. The food was very delicious and the service was excellent, but that’s probably because we came before the busy hours for them. The inside of the restaurant was also very comforting and inviting. There were amazing authentic Mexican paintings everywhere and beautiful authentic-looking Mexican pottery, which kept attracting my eye so I had a little entertainment while waiting for my food. If you like Mexican food and a comforting environment, then this is the place for you!

My husband and I enjoy the food here very much. I give it 4 stars because usually the service is slow because only one or two waitresses are on staff. Overall it’s a great place for Mexican and rather inexpensive.

Service was terrible! There was only 2 of us and it wasn’t even busy. It took an hour and a half from the time we got there until we left. All we ordered was combination plates and water. 15 minutes after we got there I had to ask if we even had a waitress. Why are the prices higher than the one in tiffany square? We’ll be sticking with that one.

The food was fair, but nothing spectacular. I digs like the habanero salsa though. Our waitress was a sweetheart, but I felt really bad for her. The mariachi band was so loud that we couldn’t hear her, and she couldn’t hear us. We had a baby with us and my friend was trying to give him a bottle and get him to sleep, so we shooed the mariachi guys away, and they went to the people right next to us and started playing at top volume. We might order food to go. I read some of the previous reviews and would actually like to run in to the waiter that keeps telling everyone«white people» like the food. I’m sure his manager would like to chat with him. …

Pretty impressed with this place. Fast service, and good food. The atmosphere was very laid back, there are TVs here which is a bonus if you like sports. The restaurant was clean, and our server, Efren, was polite and always had a smile. I ordered the Grill burrito(will request blanco queso next time,) and it was really good. My husband ordered the Las Palmitas burrito and he loved it. Will definitely be coming back.

So last post did not display… but carne Asada and salsa is to die for …, beans came out cold but owner came out and made me a new plate … The only downside was the margaritas seem to be pre made unlike original location but being new that will get better!!! i recommend and will be back for salsa alone!!! $ 5.25 for house margarita OUCH

I really wish I could turn time back and not tried this version of Mexican food. How do you mess up carne asada? Salsa? That should be easy, too. The nastiest rice and beans I think I’ve ever experienced. Dirty water glasses? Yes, ours came with lipstick-lucky us we didn’t notice until it was too late-No, my husband doesn’t wear lipstick. The best was the waiter telling my husband after he asked what his favorite meal on the menu was that he really hasn’t tried anything but the white people like it-we should have left then… just bland-tasteless and a lot of reliance on pre-prepped canned cheese. The prices… for what we received we both agreed Taco Bell crushes this place. Save your money-head over to Hacienda Colorado, Jose Muldoons or our absolute favorite El Taco Rey–

Clean atmosphere was the best part of visiting here, unfortunately when you expect to have clean drinking glasses forget it. I do prefer my red lipstick on a woman not the glass I am drinking from… Onto the food… I tried to ask what’s good on the menu from the server and got a response stating if your white it will be good. So after ordering a somewhat safe order of a steak chimichanga I decided I really didn’t care to pay as much as I did for Kraft Velveeta with some pepper chopped up in it with instant cooked rice and very watered down and bland refried beans. I think I have had better food from Taco Bell and that’s terrible to say. Other food tried was tortilla soup, well it’s a soup a little salty and much different than any tortilla soup I have ever seen, it also had a flavor that I couldn’t identify and that kinda disturbs me. The steak bowl was also another tasting, don’t worry if you like instant rice you will get plenty of that… mush…poorly executed with little flavor. So later in the meal we asked our server thinking what would he pick. When you get a response of well… You really think man not even the help will really appreciate the good something is wrong. I won’t be returning to risk drinking/eating from dirty dishes and won’t pay for cheap food that is put together poorly. Was hopeful for a New Mexican place that may meet my standard, the hunt will continue but I can’t recommend this place. Find better food else where.

My husband and I tried this restaurant for the first time on his 55th birthday. We wanted Mexican food and we noticed that this place had just opened up around the corner from where we live only a week earlier and thought we would give it a try. We are from California and we just hadn’t found a good, authentic tasting, Mexican meal yet, so we tried it. Was it the best Mexican food in town… who knows? Everyone’s taste buds are relative to where they grew up, but we enjoyed it. The only negative we have to share is they don’t serve pork carnitas, our favorite, but the experience, the staff and the service were great! My husband also had a celebratory Margarita that he said was quite good. We would go back.

Went there for dinner right after the grand opening. We were very pleased with the food. I had the fajita chimichanga, it was tasty and fresh! My husband had the Las Palmitas burrito and it was just as good as mine. The margaritas wet big, but very sweet. We will totally go back and try more!
