For a convenience store setting, this pretty much has everything you’d want. Awesomely delicious and inexpensive cookies [warning: everyone knows the«turtle» cookies are like brownies in cookie form except double chocolate and they WERE out of these when I visited], clean restrooms, clean clean CLEAN store, *super* polite and efficient checkout staff. Refreshments I’ve never seen anywhere else before — even buy your own mlkshakes. Plus the assortment of Kum&Go paraphernalia [snicker snicker, ok, yep, they even have the branded shot glasses. This review just got suggestive.]. Slight detour here: weirdly, the Unilocal app on MULTIPLE occasions did NOT pick THIS location up when we were close to the Monument K&G location. There was no distance limitation selected… it was like it didn’t exist at all. I selected all locations and the nearest one besides Monument was up in the mountains. Imagine my surprise(and my friend’s) when we saw one on the north end of the USAFA area, and it had been around since 2013. Yyyyeaaaahh… I know it’s not fashionable to dog Unilocal(or more specifically, the app); but I’ve never given a rat’s ass about fashionable — I’d rather be honest and straightforward. At any rate, the most obnoxious thing about this location is the backasswards way you have to get back to the Interstate… can’t just exit the lot and turn right and get back, oh no. You have to spiral counter-clockwise out of the lot, around the building, get on another frontage road, turn left there and THEN you can turn right. I don’t blame the store for that though — or the Unilocal app’s shortcomings. Top notch for a convenience store, 5 star.

I’ll admit, it was the name that got me here. But, they do have competitive gas prices and a convenience store which was walking distance from my hotel. Must have been like 20 gas pumps and the place was buzzing with lots of patrons.

Name choice aside, Kum & Go is a pretty solid choice for the new, large, gas station chains that seem to be popping up all over the country. They have a huge parking lot, that is usually still packed because they offer good fuel prices; and have a ton of different options inside for food/drinks/hats/trinkets/whatever. The employees are a cut above the regular gas station attendants and cashiers, which gives this place a distinct advantage over most. They are generally friendly and always seem to be busy doing something; which is a good thing. The restrooms here are nice and clean, despite the customer volume. Quite an accomplishment there actually because Kum & Go seems to always be packed to the gills. The squeegees and windshield wash bucket has always been full and ready to use. This is actually a big pet peeve of mine and if a gas station lets their wash buckets run dry; it’s usually a good indication of poor management or employees that don’t give a crap. Not the case here. If you can get past the poor name, which really reminds me that we are slowly slipping into Idiocracy… definitely give this place your business.

Premium gas is way more expensive at this gas station. Don’t go to this gas station

I thought I could make it to Alamosa, CO and back on one tank of gas, I was incorrect. Takes about 1 and a ¼ tank. With that said I needed to stop for gas, that pesky gas light was forcing me to stop. This is a very clean gas station and was a equally pristine convenient store with a plethora of grab and go items. **Very important — Clean public bathrooms.
