Dickey’s Barbecue Pit

Great location near the Interstate and Kum & Go. Meats are all good, I like many sides and the FREE Soft serve ice crème. Coke products. 3 sauces and like others could be a bit thicker. I go on Tuesday’s for their rib plate special. The daily special is a great buy. Bring your Dickey’s yellow cup back and save on your drink!

I enjoy BBQ and I do like dickies. They aren’t my absolute favorite but I enjoy the quickness of to go orders and the quality of the food most of the time. This was my first time to this location and it’s super clean!
The staff was very nice and there are coupons distributed all over the place. This time I ordered a brisket sandwich, okra, and a drink. This with a coupon was 9 bucks-​maybe a bit high in my opinion but I was satisfied.
The brisket was moist and I ordered sliced-​there was a sufficient amount along with pickles and onions. The okra was good but I don’t think I’ve ever had bad okra-it’s just frozen but I don’t mind. The drink selection is Coke products. Free ice cream is always a plus!

Had a take out family pack a week ago that had brisket and pork. Pork was bland but the brisket was pretty good. Today I had a rib plate and the ribs were so dry I could barely chew it. I hate to get end pieces in a rib meal and the rib end in this meal was hard as a rock. I like the sides. coldslaw and potato salad but my wife thinks their sides aren’t as good as Dave’s BBQ. I’ll eat there again but I’ll limit it to the brisket.

The Dickey’s on Interquest was a huge disappointment. We went to this one because it was closer to us. First the people that work there were very cold and unfriendly. Second the portions were measly for the price you pay. Third there was no ice. When I asked she went into the back and came out with two small pieces of ice per large cup in her hands. No I did not take the ice. I will go to the one on Garden of the Gods where the service is great, the portions fit the prices and the food is good.

Wife and I both have iron stomachs but we both were hit with explosive diarrhea after eating at Dickey’s tonight.
I’ve eaten at other Dickey’s in town and never had a problem getting sick so I’m now leery of returning to this location which sucks because I live near it.
Service: Very good. The black gentleman who rung us up was extremely friendly and VERY customer service oriented.
Food: Dickey’s is to BBQ as Casa Bonita is to Mexican food except Casa Bonita’s food never made us sick.
Him: 3 meat meal. Ribs, Turkey, Pulled Pork. Sides: Coleslaw, Baked beans. Ribs were ok… a notch above a McRib sandwich. Pulled Pork was bland with no smoke flavor. Turkey was exceptional; very tasty and juicy.
Her: 3 meat meal. Chicken, Turkey, Brisket. The chicken was barely edible, brisket was ok after drowned in bbq sauce, and turkey was her favorite. Mac and cheese was very good and 4 oz serving of greenbeans was mostly water but what green beans that were in the cup were good (servings are all weighed and we were disappointed by small serving size of green beans).
Overall rating: 1 ½ rolls of toiletpaper out 5-​coincidentally the same amount of TP used tonight by the two of us after experiencing horrendous bowel issues after eating there.

I had the brisket with Mac and cheese and the onion ring things. I forgot what they called them. Anyways, there are three types of sauces kept in a warning unit. I had the original and the spicy. I prefered the spicy. Not the best sauce I’ve ever had but not bad by any means. The brisket was super moist and great tasting. The Mac and cheese was pretty mediocre. The onion ring things were baller though. I also enjoyed the free soft serve cone.
It’s not the best BBQ ever but it’s a solid choice.

Great food, free ice cream, super friendly staff! It’s a little pricey for the portions but would go back!
