Remember the days when you went to a music store to buy music? Maybe you had to spend an hour or two just going through all the record racks trying to find that one record that was going to change your life for the better? I do, and so does Independent Records! This shop has been around for a very long time and thank goodness it has! There are some real treasures to be found here if you truly love music. The digital era is great and for some things it makes life much easier, but when it comes to music I prefer the old fashioned way of finding new and exciting music by talented artists that are likely not getting the radio play they should. Keep on keeping on Independent Records!

As far as this particular location goes the customer service is absolutely horrible. Actually there’s only one employee in particular that is out right rude and down right horrendous in the customer service department. Evan is the worst I’ve ever seen in the business, he confronted my son & I when we had brought in our drinks with a lid in shop by saying you need to put those drinks up front with a very condescending voice. I then simply asked why did something happen, I’ve been coming here for years, what’s changed? Then very rudely he said someone spilled coffee recently that’s why! I then followed up by saying well no problem but it would be a good idea to get a sign on the door or around the store for future customers bringing in drinks. He then rolled his eyes and said whatever. I then said excuse me? He just ignored me the remainder of the time Me and my family were in. He physically crossed my path 10 different times and didn’t ask if I needed any further assistance. Evan, You need a job digging ditches kid, your customer service skills are truly pour. I will thank Rachel for all her help though in looking up some titles I was interested in, I would dislike to be on a shift with this tool.

Love Indy. I’ve found some real gems here over the years. Everyone is always pleasant and have been helpful on the phone in the past. I’ve also had some real off the wall music questions and someone has always had the answer. I also tend not to judge a non-​restaurant business by their lack of a public restroom. (the Y is across the street)

A cool store that’s worth a visit when your in The Springs. A good selection of new and used vinyl and CDs. A really cool and helpful staff as well. They even gave me some free Metal swag.

After my coffee shop date with my friend, I was planning on heading back to Denver. I made an immediate U turn when I drive past this place and decided to check it out since I love buying and listening to records.
The store has a variety of items available. Their record selection was small compared to other record shops I’ve been to but that’s due to the other selection of products they have for sale. They have a large amount of DVDs and CDs as well as posters, shirts, smoking accessories and gun/​knife equipment.
I bought Dispatch’s Bang Bang album and Veil of Maya’s ID album for 53 $ (tax included). Both were sealed and I was surprised I found those records but nonetheless it was a great purchase. Their credit card machine was down so I had to hit up the ATM for some $$$. Fortunately they kept my items for me and I returned to pay.
I’ll return again to check out the rest of their inventory. I can’t wait to come back to CO!

This place would be great if the staff were nicer. It’s awesome that my 3 year old can use the bathroom but I can’t. No bathroom= I don’t spend money here ever again. Epic fail.

Maybe I’m old or just appriciate walking through a store that the internet has tried so hard to make obsolete. Instead of scrolling with a mouse I enjoy the music, knowledge and atmosphere of a record store independent of box store hype. Thank you and keep up the great work. Quirky little toys and smoking tools, plus the DVDs, CDs, tapes, and vinyl records are superb

Don’t buy any water bong from here because once you take it home if it doesn’t work your shit out of lucky along with your money! They are rude and over priced. I will never be back

A really nice music store here! One of the better Independent Records locations that I have been to! There is a fine selection of music CD’s and DVD’s and I was pleasantly surprised to see obscurities from both sections! There are lots of accessories to check out too! Be sure and look to the left of the entrance and around the corner just a bit to see pics taken of shoplifters that went here and got caught, there are lots of funny comments to read beside the pictures! This record store is also a medical marijuana dispensary so there are lots of accessories for that as well. That kind of struck me as odd at this location and around town that there were so many dispensaries because the town does not have a rep for being progressive while in Fort Collins they just passed a ban against them. Go figure.

I come in here often to get CDs that I can’t find anywhere else, or have to order online. It’s got a surprisingly amount of the sort of metal albums that I would normally have to order off the internet or buy at a show. That, and tons of other music — the selection here is awesome. You can also find a fair smattering of DVDs, vinyl, posters, patches, and other sorts of shit for your musical tastes.
As an added bonus, there is a section of hard core pornography — seems kind of out of place, but sure, why not?
There’s also a section for exotic water pipes for incredibly complicated smoking of tobacco, as well as all kinds of other stuff to go along with that, not that I would have any idea at all.
Love this place, will continue to shop here.

We rate this dispensary 5 stars based on high quality product, and customer service. These guys are the best that we have found in the downtown area– they have a wide selection of strains at all times, and great prices generally ranging from 25 and up!
I you haven’t been there yet, then we highly recommend it. We are always greeted warmly when we walk through the door, and always leave happy!

I go here often to find those «hard to find» cd’s. They have a great selection of albums. Plenty of medical marijuana «supplies» for those inclined. Need a Dubstep section.
