There are few comic store in Colorado Springs, but with Heroes and Dragons why would you go anywhere else? Carlos is the owner of the store and one of the nicest guy you will meet. He has a vast knowledge of just about everything in the store that he carries. He offers hold files so you don’t have to worry about missing out on the next exciting comic in your series of choice. I will always recommend this place to others. Support your local comic store right? Keep up the great work Carlos !!!

Overpriced comics that don’t look like they have been set to a pricing guide. Expect to pay $ 5 for a back issue of something that didn’t sell well and they have 20 of. Went looking for some Anita Blake back issues, marker was there something else was filed in its spot. Store is disorganized other reviewers said they have a lot of back issues. Well I found one small section of boxes. No dollar room, no discounted comics. If you google heroes and dragons your going to find the South Carolina store which is not this store. Extremely tight and claustrophobic in here. NOBOARDGAMES that I could find, no miniatures. Very little Role-playing stuff. If you want those your going to need to go across the street. Staff is kind of rude and unfriendly. Thats mainly why I didn’t buy anything even though I found about six new comics I wanted. Also no apparel and very little toys. You may ask what do they have? Well they have a large selection of Playboys, put on the main display where little kids can see them and other naughty rags. I know playboy is tame this doesn’t feel lady friendly in here it makes me uncomfortable. Why not shove that stuff in the back so moms can keep there little ones away from it. That way it won’t create a horrible self image for little girls, who are coming in to pick up a new manga. No they put it right where you come in on the front wall next to the cash registers. So its going to be staring you in the face no matter where you are in the store and when you check out. Get with the 20th century women shop in comic stores too. Moms aren’t going to want to bring there kids if that is in direct view.

Great little comic store in Northern Colorado Springs. I like that they have a good inventory of Scfi/fantasy books and gaming books. They have your usual new comics which are nicely displayed. This store has a great selection of back stock and for most part well organized. I usually don’t go this far north since I’m in southern Colorado Springs but their back stock is worth the trip. The only reason I didn’t give Heroes & Dragons a 5 star is because their back stock prices are a little to steep. If they lowered the prices you would see me in there more often. I will give kuddos to the clerk that was willing to wheel and deal with me last time I was there. He made a bigger sale and I walked out with more comics :) win win.

Carlos(the owner) is the nicest guy in the comic shop business. I’ve also found that they are the most consistent with hold files. Hold files are often hard to manage for store owners, and mistakes sometimes happen. Carlos has only missed one issue in the two years I’ve had my hold file set up. Conversely, another store at which I have a hold file(in Denver for weird reasons lol) has missed several issues in just a year. He also gives a 10% discount for hold files and applies that to all trades, but I’ve noticed that sometimes he gives me a 15% discount instead. Maybe it’s just cause I have so many comics held each month, but he never mentions it, he just gives the extra discount. Like I said, he’s a really nice guy.

I just found out that a lot of action figures and CDs that I bought from this store are bootlegs. :( Be cautious of what you buy here.
